  1. That perfectly pictures what I experienced as well. For one, glad I'm not the only one who noticed or was affected. Secondly, glad that you were smart enough to take a screen shot. I use VR and didn't think about it until after I had exited DCS for the day - also not sure if the screen capture bit would really have been able to capture it as clearly as yours. Cheers, Don
  2. I always move the landing/taxi light switch to the off position after takeoff, so maybe that is why I am not seeing the same issue as you. Will test tomorrow, and see if it is noticeable or able to replicate. Cheers, Don
  3. Fixes are updates. Truth. Cheers, Don
  4. And if my input was incorrect, ^^ this ^^ would have been my next suggestion as well. Figure one of these two will sort your issue out OP. Good reference Deano Cheers, Don
  5. Night mission, take the active runway - vehicles spot light the runway for you. Crazy behavior of the steam gauges. The lights should obviously be creating a glare/reflection of some kind - but this just seems to shade out the gauges (similar to when loading into the F-14B and the different textures are loading - boxing many indicator lights and steam gauge assemblies). As soon as you create distance between yourself and the illuminating / spot light truck(s) - the problem goes away. Cheers, Don
  6. Taxi light is attached to the front landing gear - and it continues to pivot when nose wheel steering is engaged. Landing light, is a combination of two lights - one is fixed and the other is the aforementioned light. Both function as they should for me after the recent update - 2.5.6.xxxx Cheers, Don
  7. Mine doesn't do that..... Odd. Are you running any mods? Cheers, Don
  8. Looks exactly the same as "pre update" to me. I should add, that it is still excellent - as it was before. VR user. Cheers, Don
  9. Auto started today, didn't have any issues. Then did a manual start, parameters and behavior were identical. Are both engines running after you've done the autostart - or has one possible "windmilled" and you are only having thrust from one engine? Cheers, Don
  10. +1 The update to the radar guided gun piper is a big improvement to previous version(s). Cheers, Don
  11. Are you saying that after this update, WYPDSG will slave the TGP to that target? Hasn't functioned prior, so just trying to see what you are referencing here... Works with the Maverick(s) for sure, but didn't try the TGP to see if it slaves as you stated.... Thanks for a reply. Cheers, Don
  12. Not the only update they did for the Hornet...... DCS F-18C Hornet by ED Improved accuracy of gun funnel Improved stabilization of radar-directed gun sight and gun accuracy TGP added to the 4th station CCIP bombing in AUTO mode always using high-drag configuration is fixed Corrected instances of only one bomb from a dual rack being released HUD and attack radar page Rmax values now match Corrected JDAM and JSOW menu freezes Pre-Planned mode skipping elevation has been fixed Fixed AGM-65F count down after rearm if walleye is used with an air start Fixed AGM-65F seeker continuing to slew after uncage Fixed SAI caging and OFF flag Fixed SAI cage knob clickability Note: New Targeting pod pointing modes are in work, but were not ready for this update Cheers, Don
  13. Yeah, GCAS fixed. THANK YOU! Also, seems the engine sound was overhauled, and no mention. Also, thank you for fixing the lighting issues in the 10C. Mucho better. Cheers, Don
  14. Use the HTTP download rather than torrent. Torrent is crap. Much faster with HTTP. My DL was also 31 gigs. I also see stars, any many of them...... gamma at 1.5 Thanks ED for the new update. Plenty of kinks to work out still, but it’s a good start! Cheers, Don
  15. Well, the fuel flow gauge bounces for a moment :megalol: Cheers, Don
  16. Admiral's doorbell is the only thing I know of that will give you any extra "oh shit" power - and that is obvious how it achieves that, also obvious what the next step is if you make it back to base...... Cheers, Don
  17. You will know when 2.5.6 is released, by either an Eagle Dynamics newsletter, official update statement, or when you open DCS it will pop a message up on the main menu stating that 2.5.6 is available for update (most likely if you are using OpenBeta). Or lastly, if you have the updater check each time you boot DCS, then it will ask you. Other than that - everything else will be conjecture. Cheers, Don
  18. Gotta love Dos Gringos. Good pull sir. The Legend of Shaved Dog’s _ _ _ Cheers, Don
  19. Yeah, I've never tried AUTO mode in TWS. Only manual, as that is what it defaults to. Personally, I don't have any issues with the TWS mode in the Hornet. Sure, when you go back to RWS, PRF isn't interleaved and the azimuth / bar scan is changed from your default settings - but not a big issue for me, again personally, to change these back to desired setting(s). Or you can "SET" the desired default parameters for each weapon type, then when you go back to RWS, they will come back. Was simply asking the other person who was posting, what mode they were using. No issues here, all good. Cheers, Don
  20. I use VR, so it really isn't something I've ever used (if it is currently implemented as it seems you have suggested). View is perfect for me, in any of the 3 air frames that I fly. Good tool for those who don't use VR I'd say, or those who do and aren't able to get the initial view setup properly. Cheers, Don
  21. Have you tried switching from AUTO to MAN in TWS? Seems to me that the MAN mode, when depressing RESET, clears quicker/easier. Not sure if that has something to do with it. Personally, I don't use the AUTO mode in TWS. Seems to create fewer issues. Cheers, Don
  22. Very cool of you to try and give some pointers to folks who struggle with AAR. Good on ya, as it clearly took some time. I would disagree with disabling wake turbulence though, as it is actually a good learning tool to have, as it teaches you how to approach the tanker and drogue/boom (depending on what aircraft). Again, good on you for trying to assist others with a task that many find difficult to say the least. Cheers, Don
  23. I have had to depress the reset OSB button multiple times to get TWS to unlock a friendly, or enemy track. Have also had it lock things far outside the parameters of the TWS settings - I’m just assuming that they are still working on things internally. If it persists after the next update, I will then start working for a procedure to replicate and report. TWS definitely has its own set of bugs at the moment though. Cheers, Don
