This campaign has never been localized in Russian and will never be localized in Russian. All your radio channels are the DCS preset. Since Mig-21 has only one radio I'll leave it to the player to work them as they seem fit, all can be completed from Chan 0, that will be the freq for your GCI. Radio gymnastics on a plane with one radio seems pointless to me. All the radios channels are already written in about 3 places on your Mig-21. I don't really understand your frustration. The first 3 missions in this campaign are quite simple. 1st is climb profile and low level intercept assisted by the GCI, second is formation flying and AG, third is navigation. How you achieve these tasks is up to you. Once again, if you could voice your frustrations in a normal manner so I can understand what is wrong I could help you, or get some feedback and include your feedback in the later updates. For that mission engage bandits works, for AG and if you want your wingman to be more heroic use "cover me" on AG he will go for the AA, on AA missions it will go for the threats near you. most of the time he will die in the process but he will buy you a few moments.

The runway position should not affect this one, although it's annoying with ED is changing the active runway like this. This is all about climb and sticking with the bombers. your flight, if you maintain your flight integrity will help with the fighters, intercept course is important, using your missiles for the 2 bombers then going in for guns on the third one, he will shoot back. he dives and turns so, you should be able to catch him, although he is quite fast.

I tested that mission yesterday and it works as it should. There are other players here that are going through it without any problems. There's always the option to skip the mission but the rest of them are not the easiest out there. Any chance you can send me a track or a tacview? Cheers,

Yeap, bug confirmed. The active runway changed. Messes up with the rest of the flights timing.

So, the kneeboard is giving your flight plan heading as briefed, Overlord should give you the heading accounting for your tur rate. I'll test this one just to make sure that the AI did not got crazy, and yes, you will be sandwiched between two flights in this one, so, your first pass at the bombers is quite critical, but since it looks like you can't get a visual on them, no wonder you are getting into a lot of trouble. I'll test it and let you know. With the new skip system it is quite easy to go and review a mission that you haven't finished.

It is not a training campaign. My assumption is that you know how to operate all systems and can deliver weapons in the Harrier. It doesn't require AAR specifically except for one mission but I included a workaround. I would say that the difficulty is medium, depending on how familiar you are with the airplane.

Also, as of January 1st Iran declares that will blockade the Straight of Hormuz and no traffic under the flags of US, Great Britain, France, and Australia will be allowed to pass through the straight. As a response the US President George W. Bush is tasking the US Carrier group in the area to enforce the freedom of high seas act and break the blockade and allow traffic through the Straight of Hormuz. The states in the Persian Gulf are not allowing any military out of the US bases in the Persian Gulf, however, AWACS and re-fueling flights are still allowed to operate. US Navy and US Marines will have to carry the load without any support from the US Airforce. The Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that the US forces should withdraw from the Persian Gulf and not interfere in the global politics in the Gulf. The presence of the Kuznetsov Carrier group visiting the ports of Iran will add an increased level complications in the area. The Iranians asking the Russians for help in the emerging conflict. You are stationed on board the LHA-1 USS Tarawa as part of the VMA-513 the Flying Nightmares, operating the newly modernized AV-8B Harrier. The Squadron has been briefed on the January 1st and preparing for action starting January 3rd as they pass through the Straight of Hormuz. Sorry for the late reply, make sure you stay alive on this one. In the end that's your goal. Don't get suckered into dog fight, ask your wingman to cover you, it's best chance you have for the AI to give you some better protection. On your first pass, you should deal quickly with at least 2 planes. This will give you enough advantage to re-position and take the rest of them down.

Any chance you can post a track or a recording? Without knowing what's going on all I can do is test that mission and tell you it works. Also, what version of the campaign you are using? the Russian voiceovers or the English?

They should re-align at a future update. or Break it completely. Odds are 50/50.

Thanks for the heads up. The skin is a PITA, recently it looks like if you select a plane in the ME and look at the loadout the skin is getting changed to the default skin. A bit of a bug in there. I'll submit an update for that, I'll look into the AI behavior at the mission 3. Cheers, Sorel

That runways is a bit buggered by ED in the last updates. in Mission Editor you assign a designated parking spot. It looks like that parking spot got shifted a bit. If it doesn't break the mission I would rather wait for a fix in that case then go and submit and update and all that.
