  1. I'll review it. the plane should start with the wheel in the grass, It's setup to be on a specific parking spot. Probably bug on the ED side. It happened before and they usually adjust them then breaking them again a few months after. I'll shift the parking spot and push it on an update. This one shouldn't be too hard. Remember, your AI friends get more heroic when you order "Cover Me". This is about timing, if you maintain your flight integrity and follow your waypoints, as you reach waypoint 3 you should see the contrails of the bombers. that's the moment you slide behind them and shoot them down. After that, if you are brave enough, you can do the tango with the rest of the bombers and Mig-21's and the SAM's, but a safer approach would be to keep your knots up, do a pass or two if you see one of your friendlies cornering a plane on their 6 o'clock and get the heck out of there and fly home. Get down low and head for your base.
  2. Soon some TACAN will be deployed.
  3. I hope this will help. It's still processing.
  4. I'll make a video and post it here in the next few days. Cheers,
  5. I think AI behavior changed again when they are around SAM's for the billionth time in a year. I'll test it out. Now depending on the way you fly your CAP you may have missed that interception. If you are not interrogating the AWACS with your F7 key an get a bit of SA it's quite easy to miss that interception. Now, if you think about it in reality not all the intercepts will be perfect and not all the time you will make contact with the enemy, since your goal is to live and fight another day..... Good job!
  6. Hi there, It may be a tad on the hard side. But I think that the missions is showcasing exactly the challenges and difficulties of a fighter like Mig-21, fuel management is crucial. AB should be used as little as possible if not at all while you are on route. You have plenty of time to join with the bombers without using AB and once you get a position on them you can sweep ahead of them. Also, your accuracy is crucial, if you hang with them in a dogfight you won't make it home. At the merge you should take one or two F-5's very quickly. Your flight should be able to take care of the rest. But, in the end, you have to manage your fuel to make it back. The mission is doable. Not easy, but certainly doable.
  7. A lot of the waypoints are built around geographic locations, that should help you a lot in case you loose your way. Also, I found that the RWR can give quite a good idea of where your Hawk site is. You can use that as a home beacon and find your way back. Further down the road some portable TACANS are introduced in the campaign. As the war progresses there is more logistic added to support the UN forces.
  8. No worries man. Always glad to help someone or to answer a question. Cheers and happy flying.
  9. I tested the mission a few times and it works for me. Are you sure you are not snapping your wings off by pulling too many G's? This was introduced recently for our beloved F-5 can't hamfist it anymore. If you got past 10G's your wings will snap.
  10. Geez, I'll test it today. What version you are playing? The russian or english?
  11. You are correct there. I'm testing right now a concept where hitting certain trucks will create some collateral/secondaries damage in a convoy like that. If it's doable and realistic enough I'll implement it in these missions. The AI is pretty much cannon fodder in this. Takes the focus away from you. The problem is not just how dumb it is, it's the fact that these inconsistencies change from one update to another. Going through, so far, 75 missions, plus the ones that I'm working on after each update it's a major pain, and that's just a basic smoke test.
  12. Doesn't matter what violin you play, it's all about the violinist, eh?
  13. Hi there, I have tweaked the weather a bit on this one. I've never had problems taking off though. The Wingmen followed me nicely and they took off after me. The best way to make the wingman more heroic is to go for "cover me" they will go for the AA threats around you. They will die in the process a lot but at least they take the heat off of you. AI behavior is hit and miss these days. I'm kind of terrified after every update. Anyway, I have updated this mission a bit. Here is the link with the updated missions, you can overwrite the original mission on your \DCS World\Mods\campaigns\MiG-21bis Battle of Krasnodar folder. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1WX6RvDDYt1WaTldvXw5gBEWgA97Z_dpf?usp=sharing Let me know how it goes. Cheers,
  14. Hi, I believe you are struggling with the mission 5. The mission 6th is Air to Air. There's another report about it and I had a look at it. Unfortunately AI behavior is messed up because of the AA. They become more heroic if you tell them to "cover me". If you do a fly by over the target just to reccon what you have to hit. Going fast enough you should be clear of IR SAM and they should score some hits on the columns targeting the AA threat. I tweaked the victory conditions a bit so it should be easier to pass this one if you land at least some good hits. Here is the link with the updated missions, you can overwrite the original mission on your \DCS World\Mods\campaigns\MiG-21bis Battle of Krasnodar folder. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1WX6RvDDYt1WaTldvXw5gBEWgA97Z_dpf?usp=sharing Let me know if it works better this time
  15. I'll check it, You know AI behavior pretty much changes from one update to another. Thanks for playing it.
  16. I'll have an update submitted to that mission by the end of the week, where I will clarify a bit better what needs to happen. The task was to find the SU-24 and maybe find the F-5's but not mingle with them according to the ROE. From the mission 4 the war starts in full swing.
  17. One can only hope, eh? Back in the day when trees had no effect......
  18. Such a blast this will be. Are the LZ's as tiny as they described them in Chickenhawk?
  19. If you get the failed message, it means you are not over the minimum altitude. Make sure that your altimeter is calibrated before the take off. I think it indicates somewhere around 400m at startup. Enough to put you under the altitude needed. If the task is to reach a certain altitude and you get a message that the task is failed, obviously you have not reached that said altitude. No need to be annoyed. You can always try again and get better.
  20. Being over 10k is the requirement. If you will go higher it's okay.
  21. The universe is very alternative. If you would read the campaign description or if you would have read the supporting documents you would have seen that the universe is very alternative. There's quite a background story to it. Obviously, you might have missed that, and on the mission 1 probably you are missing the WP2. The next update will have the zones reworked so they allow for errors like this. The zone radius was setup at 3000 meters, they are already doubled and quadrant instead of circles. There is quite enough information in the briefings if they are read and followed. However, conversations like this are the reason I did not wanted that campaign to be fully localized. No offence to you guys, but I'm just not able to to support you and digest the feedback properly. Relying on google translate is not accurate, not in aviation terms anyway.
  22. That's possible. Don't know if it's suited for the next one. It's for the Harrier. Plenty of information on the MFD's on that plane. Cheers, Sorel
  23. Make sure that your turn from WP2 to WP3 is tight enough. When you get the order to get low you have two options, you dive and turn and stall your engine and most likely die, or you do a split S and dive and go for the WP3. Note that the WP is the village on the left of the airport. Should be easy to see it and navigate there.
