  1. I have replaced every F/A-18 RWR sound file I could find and it doesn’t work. I did not however check the F-5 folder but will shortly.....
  2. It is MUCH better in the Rift S than the CV1. You can read the gauges clearly when looking directly at them for sure.
  3. Depending on what server I’m on I get some stuttering as well when on the ground. It’s a combination of the time it takes to receive the packets and then process them. You will definitely notice a difference in performance with the 9700K over the 6700K. Just know up front it probably won’t eliminate the stuttering completely.
  4. I went back to my CV1 when I thought my Index was bad. Rough sailing for sure lol.
  5. Tyrants sound files no longer work for me with new update. Anyone else having this issue? If it’s working for someone can you tell me how? Thanks
  6. With regards to RWR sounds, Tyrant’s F-16 mod no longer works. At all. I have replaced all of the wave files everywhere including the root directory, I added the F-16 folder to saved games, I even changed the files in the F/A-18 folder. It still finds the 18 sounds and replaces them..... WTF??
  7. Yep, I agree. Before the update, all methods of controlling the Ant. Elev., behaved the same way. Incorrectly but the same regardless of input. Not sure why it would break the button press though.
  8. Placing the sun at your back and zooming in can get the same effect.
  9. I saw that comment as well and left the Tyrant mod off. When I fired up the RWR I was greeted with the annoying F-18 tones. I have further modded Tyrant's RWR sounds with the sounds from another Viper sim..... It sounds lovely lol.
  10. I've seen the real MFD's. They are easily readable at a glance from any angle.
  11. DUH! my bad please ignore this post. It's been so long since I flew the other sim I forgot you cannot bug more than one target at a time. You bug one then step through the others with TMS right short press. I was thinking of the 15.
  12. Download Tyrant F-16 RWR mod. Works great for now.
  13. I believe the difference between the Video from Wags and what we're seeing is the time of day he took the video and the placement of the sun in relation to the cockpit. If the sun is behind you, the MFD's are legible but by no means easy to read. I believe he has the sun behind him and he is zoomed in some amount. This would make them look like they do in the Video.
  14. +1 Still can't read them. In fact, with the extra symbology for TWS and Link16 it's much worse. I may just have to turn Link16 off completely.......
  15. I don't know if everyone is experiencing this but I am unable to bug more than one target. I have two targets, I've bugged the lead but even though the trailing aircraft is at the same azimuth and elevation, it will not let me bug it. Neither TMS up short press or long press will bug the target. Sorry for the Potato pic but that is my world right now in the Viper. Even though I'm using the Valve Index with cranked up settings, that's as good as it gets in the Viper for me. All other modules look beautiful.
  16. NOT A BUG Ant. Elev. Axis FIXED!!! Radar Antenna Elevation now works as an ABSOLUTE AXIS when assigned to an axis on the controller. While it is porked when assigned to a button input, it is finally correct when assigned to an axis like it is in the real jet. Warthog owners assign it to your slider. Cougar TQS owners assign it to the Ant. Elev. knob. That's one major issue fixed!
  17. It's been reported and I can confirm as well. However, it IS working correctly now when assigned to an axis!! It is functioning as an "absolute axis" meaning, when you move the assigned axis, (for me the slider on Warthog right now) it moves the dish 1:1. You no longer have to recenter it to make it stop moving.
  18. MSI Stealth with 2080Ti works like a champ with the Reverb.
  19. I totally agree that MSAA is needed to counter the aliasing, especially in the Viper which is the worst of all my modules. Unfortunately, I run my settings too high to use it and still get decent frame rates. Aliasing is the worst when the sun is in front of you. MSAA does clean it up though.
  20. Yep. MSAA is super sampling which shrinks a large render to increase clarity up close. Unfortunately this make things at distance much smaller and therefore harder to see. I keep it off.
  21. This is what I’m used to seeing in the Viper. Whether or not it’s correct and implemented the same way remains to be seen.
  22. The Bulls is not fully implemented yet. For now, all Bullseye references on the HUD and MFD”s reference your position. Eventually, the FCR will tell you your cursors bulls in the lower left side. At least that’s where I’ve had it for 20 years.
  23. Other Index users said the same when trying -1.5. Try -1.35 and keep dropping the number towards zero and see if you can get a better image. The fact that you’re seeing any effect from changing the setting is promising.
  24. Valve Index.
  25. If it uses the AN-ALR 69 it should work.
