[REPORTED]Unable to pickup ground crew since 2.5.6
Grajo replied to AstonMartinDBS's topic in Mission Editor Bugs
Hi AstonMartinDBS, It is an issue for Mi-8 also... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=263716 -
I saw it already, during the "dreamtime" at work. Very nice video indeed . Shows also, very well, the behavior of reflections in the paintwork with the light coming from different angles :smilewink:

[RESOLVED]EmbarkToTransport Task Broke
Grajo replied to shnicklefritz's topic in Mission Editor Bugs
If you do not care about this issue/bug, it does not mean that the rest of us do not. I would prefer not to wait "for years" for this to be fixed. New stuff is coming? OK, that's great, but first, let's keep the "Old" ones still working... Sharing thoughts with Whisper. -
Finally some real update! The normal/height maps details look just amazing  Go Belsimtek go !!!
-
Thanks a lot for the mod and the latest update upuaut !!! Farps and Cargos are just such a great addition  Best

Congrats Brixmis! And thanks for sharing, the good news is welcome, especially during this period... We are, most of us, "like a bird in a cage" stuck in our apartments for who knows how much time, some also far from home... But if this helps to stop the Hospitals from being overloaded, and family remains safe... So be it ! :]. *(day 3 of "confinement" and counting...)

What's the best anti torque pedals for a heli sim these days?
Grajo replied to d0ppler's topic in DCS: UH-1H
VKB T-rudder Mk.IV was my choice 3 years ago and I do not regret. Came with 2 extra spare springs, I did not change the original one yet. They are very portable also and super sturdy. Can not go wrong with them :]. -
Yes, of course man. Take care.

I am no masochist..., but thanks for the update. I will give it a shot when I arrive home

Thanks for the advises and common sense Worrazen. Sooner or later we all gonna catch it so... better to have "some ammo" ;] "Funny thing" is to see how clearly we are hopelessly exposed to an almost absolute extinction of the worlds population... Lets hope there is not any hidden or long term side effect. Just imagine if the virus was as deadly as ebola or so, for example, or that leaves people sterile...

Hi MemphisBelle, Sorry for the delay... If you what to change the cockpit I advise you to download any of the "Devrim's Cockpit Mods" for the Mi-8 and do your own modification starting from there. Best and congrats for achieving your goals with the livery
-
Thanks for the mod Hardcard! I am sure many people is gonna be glad you share it with us. Like Fri13, I also feel that I would prefer to have at least "something" in the reflection, specially in the SU-25A. Do not ask me why... I just feel that something is missing, for the MiG seems good to me, I guess is just a matter of personal preference... :] Some real time reflection "a baked cockpit spherical map" or something done in a smart/not heavy performance impact, would be just the thing that cockpits are missing...:noexpression: *Also, ED PLEASE, fix this exterior model inside cockpit (texture flat color) in the SU-25A. It has been a while, I can not wait for this to happen...

[REPORTED]SU-25A missing texture
Grajo replied to cro_mig_21's topic in Flaming Cliffs Bugs & Problems
Any news about this? Come on guys... A bit of love for the "Rook" please :smilewink: -
Sure thing. Remember Arsène Lupin ; Distracting attention is the key...

That could be so sweet... :D.

Hi sushy73, Is a pity that normal maps can not be added to a model just editing liveries description.lua. In any case, even if you have 3DS max, I think you could not make it happen, as soon as you are not ready to redo all anims etc and reexport a fully working model + Normal support. Would be, more or less, to redo the whole mod from scratch, that assuming that you manage to export the full model first... Would love to see some "seamless" normal map support somehow, or at least ED reexporting some oldies like Su-25 and su-25T and maybe also all FC3 cockpits and Mi-8 and Huey's, with normal map support ;]. A basic, UNOFFICIAL - Blender .edm Addon
Grajo replied to NickD's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
Hi guys, Thanks a lot for your effort. You might consider teaming up ??? In any case... not my business just a suggestion. :] Nice video tobi, great potential. *As I said, I am not a professional modeler by far, might be me screwing up things... Best! -

Grajo replied to NickD's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
We know that SkateZilla. I hope that is not a problem to keep using the forum to discuss it. Maybe ED could re-evaluate it someday if the Exporter implements more features and becomes more reliable :]. More Mods/Assets = more fun, and probably more coin also ;]. -
Great Quality! Hope that ED supports the project somehow and we can purchase a fully functional module some day. Thanks for all the work and the screenshots so far SVKSniper !!!

A basic, UNOFFICIAL - Blender .edm Addon
Grajo replied to NickD's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
Thanks for the tips SkateZilla. I fear that actual Blender exporter does not "respect" the smoothing groups, at least has not work for me after several test. Vertex Weight Normals, Edge Split, even Flat Shaded... Results seem "erratic" after exporting. I am not a professional modeler... Might be also my lack of knowledge in the matter... :[ I will patiently wait for any update of the plugin and continue my test after that. Do not want to get stuck with this more than what I have been already by now, and invest my time doing some surfacing updates for the Mi-8 what seems more "simple" and regarding to me. :] -
Great video! Thanks for sharing MAD-MM

It is possible to have gunner with no gun sight and no hard points (at least not visible in game, however weight will be probably added to the total mass). Should work inside the server if the server gives the choice of changing liveries for client. Did not test it my self. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=200876
-
You can indeed remove some elements visibility (I think the actual weight for the helo mass will be added anyway), using some simple script line that points to the ID of that object inside the liveries script. You can find this info playing around in the Model Viewer, the custom arguments/IDs are displayed there so with some research you might find what you are looking for. Sadly elements like the IR Jammer or Dust Filters have not an unique ID so, I think, can not be hidden, so far, by this method to create a complete civilian livery :(. Mi-8 maiden flight, got it in the bundle. Mmmmm...
Grajo replied to S. Low's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Mi-8 is the module I enjoy the most. Versatile as hell, pleasant and regarding to fly... Bad ass! Also my favorite platform for my surfacing mods, "Because she's wort it" :smilewink: I will still fly it a lot even after Mi-24P arrives, they will do such a lovely couple :]. Any update to the module, of course, paid or not, would be very welcome. -Official, External model and Cockpit PBR implementation. -Civilian model with no IR Jammer and Dust filters. -Ability to load UV-16, UV-32 and S-24 rockets without Mods. -Bomb sight for copilot (plus delayed fuse bombs) -Shorted Harpoints option with 4 pylons only -Working IR Jammer. Asking is for free :D. Also, not so sure that Huey is "more easy to fly" I am still struggling with the Huey, probably I need more hours of training I guess... * Good tip paco2002. First time you survive with an emergency landing after having one of your engines on fire, feels godlike! -
Hi Tailhook, Nice try guessing, but as I said , is the IR Jammer and the air intake Dust Filters what I would like to hide from Mi-8 External model. In any case, your advise has put me in the right direction, even more... Thanks to that line in the liveries description.lua, now is finally possible ( seems that it has always been...) to equip the Mi-8 with a Door gunner hiding the hardpoints and the cockpit gunsight ! So, thank you very much for your help. I have noticed, after understanding how the custom_args work in the description .lua of the liveries, that some parts of the model can be hidden using this metod. This parts ID number can be check using MV. Sadly the parts of the model that I would like to hide, IR Jammer and Dust Filters, do not have an independent ID assign to them and are part of the ID mess part that contains the main Hull. I will try to request the Devs if they could add to these two parts of the model their unique IDs in any future update of the Mi-8 Best
