Can't load Cy 27 or F-15 How do I get pilot out of the plane?
jonsky7 replied to Jimbo777's topic in Installation Problems
The F-15C and Su-27 can be purchased individually, or by purchasing the "Flaming Cliffs 3" (FC3) package, you will get those planes and a few more. They are low fidelity modules, like the free Su-25T, so you can't click switches in the cockpit and they have slightly simpler systems, still great to fly though.- 1 reply

It's what you instinctively do when you are going at speed, and is well documented when it comes to motorcycles, it's called counter-steering. Not to be confused with car counter-steering to bring a sliding back end back into line. Nothing to do with the thread, just thought I'd mention it

Thanks, but that doesn't work for me, holding left click, even with LShift pressed, just moves the map around.

LOOK, all of you against my wish, that's fine. I get it, you want serial number xxx-xxxx-xxx-xx I'd just prefer a little poetic licence with weapons, I'm not expecting ED to model I'm not even wishing for weapons that aren't in game, just that if an F16C could carry 4 HARMS and launch them, then go ahead, same with GBU31 etc. It's not clear from product page that the DCS Viper is specifically a USAF/ANG F-16CM Block 50 circa 2007. The first place one can come across that information is the "Subject to Change - Desired F-16C Systems and Payloads" thread. I am, I was super happy with carrying an employing 4 Harms, it was already in and done, then the community made ED do MORE work to stop them firing. I asked, they said no, end of. I'll be sure to do more research into the specific variant being modelled before any future purchases. Thanks for participating...

There's nothing wrong there, you specifically asked if and I answered you.
-
Well no because the product page says "The Viper is armed for air-to-air combat with Sidewinders, AMRAAMs, and an internal 20mm 6-barrel Gatling gun. It can also be loaded with a wide range of air-to-ground weapons that include general purpose bombs, rockets, canister munition, Mavericks, laser- and GPS-guided bombs, and more. The F-16 provides endless gameplay in DCS World!" and "Dozens of air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons and sensors. From simple rockets to high-tech GPS and laser-guided bombs, " and GPS wasn't operational until 1993.
-
You think it's logical from the product page that the F-16 for sale is the USAF one? How on earth did you come to that conclusion?
-
Maybe that needs to be more clear on the product page, rather than "The F-16C is a single seat, single engine multirole fighter that was developed in the 1970s. More than 4,500 units were manufactured and are operated today by 26 countries where the aircraft performs numerous missions that include air superiority, close air support, precision bombing, air defense suppression, reconnaissance and more. Few other aircraft can match its versatility, maneuverability, firepower, and huge production numbers."

Petrovich AI window smck middle between my 2 monitor setup
jonsky7 replied to hreich's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Well I use a mod manager to that, but the previous file didn't work because they introduced the countermeasures display window. I managed to find the values that moved the compass, and so to the other two overlays, again. -
Glad you got it sorted, are you using open.beta? The crosshair position was fixed in the update before last. Only the last update made the compass position, target list, and countermeasure box move too far left for me. The compass, target list, and countermeasure display are all tied into the compass position value, adjusting the compass position value should move the other two as well, I didn't try moving them individually.
-
I'm still experiencing artillery and MLRS systems getting stuck, they will fire at the first target I set but then will be unresponsive. Can't move, can't fire them. Multiplayer server, with CTLD to dynamically spawn them. Annnnnnnd I can't remove a target once placed on a unit, clicking on it just selects the unit underneath, please have a look.
-
To alter the position of the compass, target selection box, and countermeasure selection window, you can alter the values of line 22 in the file DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Mi-24P\Cockpit\Scripts\HelperAI\HelperAI_page_common.lua compass_pos = {-0.75 * total_aspect, -0.5} --relative to screen center, 1 equals screen height afaik To move the compass position left, change -0.75 to a more negative value, and to move it right, change to a more positive value, mine is now -0.6 which brings it back fully onto the screen on the left hand side.

It is my wish that ED dump the USAF and ANG designation and just make an F-16C that is "circa 2007" or whatever. I don't really understand the need to be THAT specific about the aircraft. Just give me an F-16C from around 2007, capable of carrying everything it could possibly carry in 2007, from every country. Then I can decide what country's F-16C I'm flying. It would be up to the player and/or mission designer to then create missions that allow, or not, things like smart weapons to be loaded onto 4 and 6. I'm all for more options, I'll fly it how I want to fly it, and you can fly it how you see fit too. Cheers

Petrovich AI window smck middle between my 2 monitor setup
jonsky7 replied to hreich's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
@Deadseed Hello again, are you having an issue with the new countermeasure display, and compass, and target selector, not being within the screen space since the last update? -
Hi, The AI crosshairs and compass etc were initially not in the correct place on multi-monitor setups, this was then corrected, but as of the latest release with the new countermeasures display, I'm finding that the compass, countermeasure display, and the target selection box are cut-off on the left side of the display. screenshots below thanks
-
I've tried both ways, I find it weird either way. It just doesn't seem to end up in the attitude I trim it at, I'm constantly fighting it.
-
Please can we have the option to fit/remove the IR suppressors in the "in game" armament window, like the Gazelle does Many thanks EDIT: This has been added to the ground crew menu, many thanks

Same, looks like button press and release have the same value, so the button is effectively being pressed twice each time the physical button is pressed. If you hold down the "MAP" OBS button, and press MAPM the map stays off
-
I took the screenshots on the latest open beta, so I guess it does.
