  1. Try this
  2. Since latest patch, 27th Jan, pressing F6 to go weapon view doesn't work after firing. Can however first go to F10 map, select missile and go to weapon view by pressing F6. F6 will then work after returning to cockpit, until a new weapon launch.
  3. Much appreciated, thanks
  4. Haven't driven a tank for a while in DCS, noticed new STBL OFF indication while in gunner role. Can't seem to find how to turn it to ON though. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks
  5. Experienced this also, B17 bomber circling endlessly, also the occasional fighter. And planes flying with no engine indefinitely, upside down, for some reason.
  6. Well come on then, tell the rest of us what is it was/is, pretty please.
  7. Is this your mission? Only time I have experienced similar was an online server that had armament restrictions. If you loaded a banned weapon, or too many, plane piles into ground after takeoff. Have no idea what script that server was running, just a thought really.
  8. Try going into your Windows Saved Games folder, DCS, Config, and move or delete the file called options.lua.
  9. Glad you got it sorted in the end. That monitor is an Eyoyo 11.6" LCD 1080p. I have searched but can't find an Eyoyo branded one anymore. I'm pretty sure it is the same as this. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0784Q2GXY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_-XibGbGVRD64D?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
  10. Here is handy script for the Warthog, its for the "Target GUI" which is the software that allows for the warthog to be programmed. Basically it allows all of the switches to give an instruction to DCS whichever direction you flip the switch.
  11. Depends on the campaign, but most of the time it is possible yes. You have to open the campaign mission files one at a time in the mission editor. Find the player plane, swap it for the plane you want to fly. Might be a good idea to copy the entire campaign folder before editing.
  12. I've never messed around with it. Have seen a few people asking and if I remember correctly the response is that it is not possible. Try the "home cockpits" thread. Jon
  13. Ok yeah, I've watched philstyles review video on Jafa's sound mod and it's definitely not the same as I have when applying that mod in my saved games folder, and I believe the culprit of my high pitch buzz was the community Edge 540 mod, which had a sound folder called PackardMerlinProp, so, good call on checking that, thanks. So now I am confused because: If it doesn't recognise that format anymore, how did the Edge 540 change the sounds on the Spitfire? Skullz said that's exactly how you install his Huey sound mod and that does definitely make the sound change. I far as I can gather, that's how sound mods work now from reading the sound modding thread.
  14. Excellent tutorials, thank you
  15. Seems like an odd resolution for your main view. I can't figure out what screens you are running from this only. Try here
  16. Do you have more than 1 monitor?
  17. For setting up your screens you could also have a look at:
  18. 1. I could and will try that sure, but I didn't have any sound related files in my DCS saved games folder. 2. Replacing the sound files in the core game folder is no longer supported, that is true. But you CAN now put those files into your saved games folder instead and they do work. Hence the sound mod video above, I recorded it yesterday on the current open beta build.
  19. I've set my civ traffic to off, and the train still doesn't appear for me, just the steam stack as described by the OP.
  20. Thanks for checking. I Disabled all mods Re-installed the Spitfire, Deleted the entire sound folder from DCS, Ran a repair and file check using the updater utility Still have that buzz. Never-mind, I've found you can still use sound mods, but they go in your Saved Games folder now. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3081615/
  21. In external view with the aircraft flying towards you, there's this awful high pitch buzz/whine. I'm sure it wasn't there before and the Spitfire was/is one of the best sounding aircraft in DCS, especially for fly-bys. Saying that, I did used to use a sound mod which no longer works. Compare the Spitfire with the P51, pretty much the same engine I believe.
  22. Well shucks, looks like I wasted quite a bit of time writing that guide up lol. edit, having tried it quickly I don't think you can choose which side of the axis you want to use when setting a 50% deadzone. That might not be an issue, if it is, I still think UCR can come in handy.
  23. The mouse does stop controlling the external view when the communication menu is open, just a thought.
  24. 3. Create a profile Give your profile a name, and check the box of the controller you want to use as your input, your gamepad. And select vJoy Stick 1 for the output. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Create your split axis You might need a bit of deadzone. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. Test Once you click "play" the axis will become live and you can check them in the USB Game Controllers Window properties When you open DCS, there will be a new joystick column called vJoy device, when you are binding use this column, only move the stick in the half you want. You have to run UCR and click "play" to activate the axis split each time you want to play DCS.
