[REPORTED] Spurious RNE shoot cue on long range AAQC
raelias replied to raelias's topic in Bugs and Problems
So... reported? -
What new feature of the Hornet are you most looking forward to?
raelias replied to Wags's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
To be honest I'd be happy with just a radar that can reliably hold a lock in the current avalible modes -
Don't do that as the bracket speed will vary with your bank angle, just trim it on AoA manage your descent rate with power, thats all there is to it

what about the track?

Problem with RAMP Start From the last OB Version
raelias replied to assafm25's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
sounds like a bus tie problem, gimme a minute let me open the sim to take a look at the pit edit 1: is your battery switch by any chance in override? edit 2: I managed to reproduce your problem by setting the battery switch to either off or oride (down, left mouse click) after R eng start, doing so closes the bus tie making the right gen unable to supply the "left side bus" (is it the utility bus?). anyways, make sure you have your bat switch in the ON position (up, right mouse click) and let me know if it fixes it Also you should be able to spot this issue on the amps meter to the left of the left gen switch, with the bus tie working and one engine running both needles should be up Good luck and if the problem persists post me a screenshot of your cockpit with the issue please, also attach a track if possible -
[REPORTED] Spurious RNE shoot cue on long range AAQC
raelias replied to raelias's topic in Bugs and Problems
One more track now getting a RNE shoot cue from over 60nm away Shoot cue bug 2.trk -
Hello, I found a buggy behaviour today on the radar Scenario is as follows: target is roughly 50nm away both aircraft at angels 19, radar is set at 40nm BUT i lock him up anyways using AAQC. The HUD shows his correct range, but im getting a flashing RNE cue (obviously spurious) A good lead to the root of the bug is that when the aircraft brakes the 40nm range (to which the radar is set on the right DDI) the cue corrects itself instanly I belive the shoot cue is somehow considering his simbology at a 80nm range radar as if it was at 40nm range or something like that, because when it shows on the top of the radar at 40nm it gets corrected Good luck! :pilotfly:

Just make sure to trim the aircraft on speed, make it a long final if you have to but dont do it wrong, dont overcorrect, if it looks bad go around and make another long final until you are good on it, then keep making shorter and shorter finals until you can start your base turn abeam to the ship
-
I was hoping for a hotfix today but looks like nope
-
Thats great to hear it's beeing worked on! Same goes for inlet icing even when no visibile moisture is around
-
I'm gettin 'em on a 26kt carrier with no wind
-
and very much like the wing vortex, you can sometimes see the vapour when parked on the deck
-
Self explanatory, images showcase the issue, ships are moving 26-27 kts winds calm (Open beta 08/29)

AA mastermode Select aim7 Make sure master arm is on Point Make sure its not a friendly Shoot
-
I have observed OTHERS sliding on MP, and other have observed me sliding even when i'm host No sliding on my own plane or others own plane tho
-
Just did myself some taxing around on the deck with on max speed (27kt, set to 30 on ME) and until now I've had no sliding at all, looking good so far!

Hey guys, I'd would love to have a more compleate changelog on the updates, it seems like quite a lot os stuff that is actually in the update are beeing left out of the change logs, some stuff we will find when we hop in the hornet some might be much more underlying, some of them can quite change the way we do stuff. Is there anys specific reason why the changelogs are so incompleate? Thank,
-
I pretty sure it uses INS, like 99.9% But you are right, good job identifying this
-
Ain't that the truth hahaha, most antecipated day of the week definatly Glad to here that Nineline, fingers crossed they got got!
-
It's like I said, doesn't matter the setup, the missions age, the type of loadout, the weight. If carrier is over 20kt it slides 100% of the time, i find it really hard to belive that it won't slide for anyone unless if very specific situations maybe, I have never had it not slide over 20kt doesn't matter the setup
-
Solution for A-G gun is just wrong, it always go long, sometimes on level A-A especially at close range it goes way above as well
-
It's not a once in a while thing, I get the sliding 100% guarantee of the times when carrier is above 20kt
-
For me personally I have no sliding at all in any situation unless the carrier speed/wind speed over the deck is over 20kt
