So when using the attack radar in TWS. the vertical bars that show max range, max escape range, and min range are different then the ranges showed on the hud. For instance on the attack radar on the ddi the target will be well within the Rmax on the ddi, but will be outside the rmax on the hud, and no shoot cue will appear untill i'm within the Rmax on the hud, which then on the ddi will show somewhere between Rmax and R-no-escape. Is this a bug or am i missing something?

So the Mi-24P is coming out eventually, and I was wondering how similar are the flight characteristics and systems of the Mi-8. the overally chassis, engines, and systems seem similarish, and aside from speed armor and the use of guided munitions, are there a lot of differences between the 2 aircraft?

So I was playing on the Growling sidewinder multiplayer server, and I notice my FPS drops dramtically after a while from the HSD page on the MFCD. espessially when it's heavily croweded. I also notice thay at first the symbols are sharp and crisp, but over time the get more blurry and have a halo effect on them. Anyone else have this problem? Or know what I can tweek in my graphics settings to reduced the impact. Thanks

So I did all that, but I get no indication anywhere that it is working
-
it happens with the air to ground radar is displayed, and then goes away when the air to ground radar is no longer displayed

So is the SPJ jammer pod functional yet? if so how do you activate it?

So when I switch to Air to Ground radar I get a huge performance hit, and my FPS drops dramatically. Anyone else have this problem, and figured out a way to reduce the performance hit?

until training videos come out does anyone know how to get the SD-10 to fire on a TWS target?

So I just picked up the Ka 50, hoping it would tied me over till the Mi 24P hind comes out, and I love the helicopter For a long time when I was young, the Ka 50 was my favorite attack helicopter, and part of it was due to the fact that it was a single seater. (i like the idea of flying solo, though i can see the problems it creates in a attack helicopter.) Anyway I turned a little sour on it when I found out that it didn't actually see much combat use, and part of the reason It took me so long to buy it, was I always doubted the fidelity of the module a bit, because only a handfull of them were made and used, so I always wondered how ED got the information required to accurately model it. I was wondering if anyone has any information in regards to it's use in combat (not found on a wikipedia page) and it's development by ED. thanks.

You'll note I said strongly pushed, not number 1. Plus that pole was done almost a year and a half ago, back when people assumed TWS was just around the corner, not when it stalled 8 months ago.
-
I remain skeptical. LTWS came out 8 months ago for the Hornet. To have this long of a delay in getting TWS functunal on the Hornet, which was a feature that has been strongly pushed by the community for over a year, then to see EA prioritize it for the Viper, was not IMO a wise move.

I have both. in my opinion Hornet. Hornet does ever so slightly better in BVR. as it has a slightly better radar IRL, can't really tell if it's better in game though, but the hornet can carry way more in air to air ordinance. both in BVR and WVR. Hornet is actually slighly faster with a full bomb load then the F-16. although the F-16 has better acceleration, but these advantages are very minor for both planes. remember we have the 404 GE402 engined hornet not the 404 GE400 engined hornet (the fast hornet in game) so it's performace to the F-16 block 50 is closer then most people realize F-16 has to energy fight in a dogfight to come out on top which is a harder skill to master then turn and burning that the Hornet does easily, but that only really matters in a gun fight. With the aim 9x the hornet overides it's G limiter, pulls crazy AoA and locks on the Viper first. Viper has great front visibility, but only ok rear visibility. hornet has good front visibility and good rear visability Viper can't do carrier ops, can't carry Harpoons. basically if you like the F-16, get the F-16, but if want the most useful of the 2 the hornet comes out on top

For some reason Drag on AIM 54s are way less then on the AIM 7s when taking the 6 sparrow load out, If I switch out 2 of the AIM 7s on the wings for 2 AIM 54s the top speed of the tomcat increases by over 20 knots, even though the weight is heavier now, and there should be more drag. also a loadout of: 2gbu 10s, 3 AIM 54s, a lantern pod, 2 AIM 9's and 2 fuel tanks Goes about 20 knots faster with over 3000 pounds more weight then a loadout of 2 AIM 54s, 3 AIM 7s, 2 AIM 9s, and 2 fuel tanks.

Here it is on the Viggen same issue
-
Only on heatblur modules If it's for VR motion sickness. Why does it only occur on heatblur modules (F-14 does it too. head through canopy and parts of the cockpit) but every other plane by other studios doesn't have this problem?
-
So while I'm super impressed with the Tomcat. It seems just like the Viggen you can put your head through the glass of the canopy and into the front instrument panel. No other developers have this issue, but heatblur has yet to fix it for either of their aircraft. Helpfull in a dogfight though being able to stick your head out of the cockpit to see further behind ;)
-
Not new This is apparently a heatblur thing. You can put your head through the glass and the front panel in the F-14 as the pilot as well You can also do it in the Viggen. Unlike any other developer in DCS heatblur doesn't have boundries that prevent your view from going out of the canopy. Don't know why they've never addressed this
