  1. Same problem I'm also having my framerate drop when the radar is on and i'm picking up ground clutter. I also have had the problem in the F/A 18 with a fps drop there when the radar and SA page is on as well, turn them off and everything is super smooth again
  2. My MiG 21 is also crashing on Persian gulf, when I equip the rocket pods, and then select to fire 8 rockets at a time DCS immediately crashes
  3. TWS same issue can't unlock target lock goes into terrain. Yeah i had the exact same problem on the Growling sidewinder server yesterday. New problem since the last time i played was 2 weeks ago, and everything with the hornets radar was fine. Now it won't unlock targets, even breaking line of sight behind terrain does nothing. Something is definitely wrong with it right now

Really? all it did was make me more depressed. over 140 seconds of trailer fotage, and all the Mi-24P got was just less then a second of a backlit shot with tons of sun glare, and hiding as much detail as possible while the Ka-50 P-47, Mosquito, and Ju-88 get tons of on screen time. It's been 9 months since the cockpit pics from back in May. I don't want the Mi-24 to be the released in the last part of 2020, we've been waiting 2 years, give us something substantial.
  5. yep Yeah that is the exact problem. I have the newest version of the openbeta installed it also does the full line of 0's if i mess up entering during full alignment as well

So playing the convoy mission I find it very difficult to find the convoy before they spot me and proceed to use the avenger to hurl multiple stingers in my direction. what Is a good strategy when you are trying to find a moving set of target. should I try and fly higher and just periodicly throw out flares, or should I stick low to avoid being spotted?

So if i'm using the litening pod to target IR mavericks once I select the maverick I can no longer change wide and narrow field of view in the CV targeting pod or go from flir to TV mode. it stays lock on the current mode. Even if i use the sensor select button to select the DDI with the targeting pod. pressing the narrow and wide view changes the Mavericks FOV even though the ddi with the maverick is no longer selected. only way I can fix this is to unselect the maverick, and then reselect it after selecting the view mode i want on the flir pod. which is a pain if i'm trying to ripple fire a bunch of IR mavericks in one pass at multiple targets that are space a fair distance apart
  10. It isn't. There is no tick for Rmax. just Raero, Rleathal, and Rmin
  11. On the HUD yes, in the Attack radar on the DDI it shows it in range. That is the issue
  12. I have noticed the same thing in single player when practicing with TWS Says that it's inside Rmax on the attack radar. but on the hud it shows that it is outside of Rmax. So one of them is wrong.

  14. So when using the attack radar in TWS. the vertical bars that show max range, max escape range, and min range are different then the ranges showed on the hud. For instance on the attack radar on the ddi the target will be well within the Rmax on the ddi, but will be outside the rmax on the hud, and no shoot cue will appear untill i'm within the Rmax on the hud, which then on the ddi will show somewhere between Rmax and R-no-escape. Is this a bug or am i missing something?
  15. Yeah I figured the "wings" on the Hind would make it more stable allowing for easier rocket runs. Man that is nice to hear having a CCIP for rockets. I was using the Sight in the Mi 8 and it's tricking shooting anything over a kilometer out. even with the tables in the chucks guide.

So the Mi-24P is coming out eventually, and I was wondering how similar are the flight characteristics and systems of the Mi-8. the overally chassis, engines, and systems seem similarish, and aside from speed armor and the use of guided munitions, are there a lot of differences between the 2 aircraft?
  17. So I was playing on the Growling sidewinder multiplayer server, and I notice my FPS drops dramtically after a while from the HSD page on the MFCD. espessially when it's heavily croweded. I also notice thay at first the symbols are sharp and crisp, but over time the get more blurry and have a halo effect on them. Anyone else have this problem? Or know what I can tweek in my graphics settings to reduced the impact. Thanks

  22. So when I switch to Air to Ground radar I get a huge performance hit, and my FPS drops dramatically. Anyone else have this problem, and figured out a way to reduce the performance hit?

So I just picked up the Ka 50, hoping it would tied me over till the Mi 24P hind comes out, and I love the helicopter For a long time when I was young, the Ka 50 was my favorite attack helicopter, and part of it was due to the fact that it was a single seater. (i like the idea of flying solo, though i can see the problems it creates in a attack helicopter.) Anyway I turned a little sour on it when I found out that it didn't actually see much combat use, and part of the reason It took me so long to buy it, was I always doubted the fidelity of the module a bit, because only a handfull of them were made and used, so I always wondered how ED got the information required to accurately model it. I was wondering if anyone has any information in regards to it's use in combat (not found on a wikipedia page) and it's development by ED. thanks.
