Thank you! Well Ive tried to delete all settings and clean the registry than reinstall DCS. I wouldn't go for windows reinstallation at least for now) Still waiting for response from support. But Russian's one (I mean DCS) will no come earlier than 10 of January (holidays in Russia). Please let me no if you decide to reinstall windows and it helps:).

Thank you! Its nice to be not alone even in a such circumstances). I've tried this command today but it didnt help. Well it helped to get rid of this zoom distortion! but since this command presumably was made to be used with VR2/3 and Vario XR-3, it gives screen flickering in the headset and 4 displays preview drastically reducing performances even in the menu. So it might be that dcs is not supporting Varjo Aero at this moment. I\ve made a ticket both for Varjo and DCS support. Please make the same to make them see that this is a common problem. Добрый день! Несколько дней назад ко мне пришла новейшая ВР гарнитура Varjo Aero. Однако, пока не удалось его запустить вместе с DCS Несмотря на то, что гарнитура поддерживает runtime OpenVR и при запуске DCS гарнитура начинает работать как и самостоятельно, так и вместе с запущенным SteamVR?, делает она это некорректно. А именно Ось наклона шлема по вертикали работает одновременно как зум прямо в меню (в ангаре с экраном меню), что создаёт невероятные искажения и делает использование невозможным. Я попробовал также запустить DCS вот с таким ключом "E:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS.exe" --force_varjo_VR, и это дало некоторые результаты. Очевидно, что данный ключ подходит только для использования с гарнитурами VarjoVR2/3 VarjoXR-3, так как картинка предпросмотра на экране монитора имеет 4 изображения. То есть формируется картинка также и для дополнительных двух дисплеев высокой чёткости. Varjo Aero в свою очередь, как первый шлем компании для частных пользователей не имеет этих дисплеев и подобный рендеринг приводит к мерцанию в экранах и низкой производительности, хотя и убирает проблему с переменным зумом, о которой я говорил вначале. Подскажите пожалуйста, когда будет реализована поддержка шлема, или что я могу сделать уже сейчас? Дело в том, что сейчас многие начнут получать эти шлем день за днем, скорее, конечно, в англоязычном сегменте рынка и возможно начнут сталкиваться с подобной проблемой! Спасибо большое и надеюсь на скорейший ответ, так как хочется поскорее начать использовать гарнитуру нового поколения в любимом симуляторе!

Hello everyone! Recently have received Varjo Aero and can’t use it with my favorite simulation. I’m having a very ugly distortion causing by vertical headset movement affects zoom. The lower I’m looking the higher zoom is and a vice versa. Any ideas how to fix this. No issues with using any other headset

I think it’s more related to DCS. I used to have HMD axis in the control settings, I thought I could fix it there. But in the latest versions it seems to be removed from settings. If only someone can help me to find a file I can double check and fix this option.

Thank you! Will try to. At this moment I’ve managed to figure out that weird distortion happen because headset movement in vertical axis causes zooming as well. Lower you’re looking = higher zoom and vice versa. But how can I fix this?

Still hoping to find an answer. It’s too much hype around this Aero headset, but I still don’t find it worth it. Those distortions are killing immersion of simulation despite an extra clarity around center. And there is no edge to edge clarity whatsoever as some YouTubers say.

Hello everyone! Just received my Varjo Aero yesterday. Today was struggling whole day making it work. Unfortunately, some weird distortion are happening during running of DCS. They are not the same, this headset is known for, those are seen in native software and games from steam running in SteamVR. Varjo base software supports both OpenVR and OpenXR runtime. Previously I was running DCS using HP reverb G2 and running SteamVR for WMR headset application. I was also using a reprojection mode preferring high graphics settings with my RTX3090. Now I’m starting DCS and I don’t know what kind of runtime it’s using. In fact I’m getting some weird distortion, like those normal ones but several times amplified and twisted I guess. Does someone have any advice on this?
