  1. I don't know if the Shkval camera should or should not get a lock under those lighting conditions, from a far enough distance. The locking issue (if that is the issue) can be dealt with later. But in the meantime, it would be very easy to fix this training mission, by changing the time of the mission. Make it start at 12:00, for instance. Make this edit and put it in the next DCS patch.
  2. Yeah, not fixed. A few months ago I edited the mission to be later (so more light), as I read in this thread and that way I was able to complete it. The mission should be set to start at least one hour later. But better 2 hours later or even more. I just played this training mission again (now without editing it). I could get the Shkval to lock on one tank, but only after I am closer than the minimum range for that Kh-29T missile. I tried circling over the target until the Sun gets higher and the light gets better, but there is not enough fuel for the time you need to wait. So I tried another way: I landed on the other airfield nearby, I re-supplied and I waited there for better light. I took off and, with the better light, I could get the Shkval to lock while I still was farther away than the minimum range for the missile.
  3. Your Cougar grip might be compatible with the Virpil (VPC) WarBRD base. If it is, it would be a good option.
  4. The vertical stabilizer looks pretty thick in the front view from this drawing: Is this drawing wrong?
  5. Check the yaw curves. Maybe you are using asymmetrical curves. You might want asymmetrical curves for pitch. But never for roll and yaw. Also, if Relative Translation is enabled, check if you have symmetrical curves for X axis. Or check that anyway.
  6. What's that? Polish? Were the Russians making documentation in Polish? So even there they say there is a difference. Small, but there is one. And also there are more MiG-19 variants than just MiG-19S and MiG-19P. Do you have blueprints? Those used for manufacturing.
  7. An Internet search does not work so well when you try to find information about a soviet plane made 65 years ago. You made a claim. You should be the one who support his claim with some proof.
  8. Some evidence would not hurt.
  9. That's all you have to say?
  10. Yeah. So? It's from a MiG-19S. MiG-19P is lower. And I can see some differences between those two. Are those drawings made in 1994 and 1995? Do you know how accurate they are? Also, I don't have the 3D model from the game to made comparisons with any drawings. What I can say is that the screenshot you posted is not a good reference, because it is a close up image. Just stick a camera in front of someone's face and take a picture. The person's nose will appear bigger than it actually is. It's similar with that screenshot. The vertical stabilizer in the 3D model from the game might be too thick or might be not.
  11. I don't have the 3D model from the game to make sections through it. Or projections. But this image you made: implied that the drawing was a cross section through the indicated point in the 3D model. Then I saw the full drawing and I saw that the portion you cropped is a top view, not a cross section and also the front part of the vertical stabilizer (the different angled one) is not drawn. Those 2 points which you linked with that double arrow are not corresponding points. The encircled point in the drawing can't be seen on the real plane, because it's under that angled front section of the vertical stabilizer.
  12. You made it wrong (for 1 to 1 comparison purposes with that drawing). The section is too high up and the model is angled in that view. In fact the full drawing from the previous page (from which you made that crop from in the image from this page) is a view from the top, not a section. Also, in that drawing, in the view from the side, the vertical fin is missing that change of angle on the leading edge (that part is removed in the drawing). And that should be above the level of the horizontal stabilizer. That front section of the verical stabilizer (which is not drawn) should be like this (drawn only on the side view): The vertical red line is an aiding line, to better see the corresponding points from the side view and from the top view.
  13. Not conclusive. You are comparing a close up screenshot with a drawing (which is not affected by perspective, camera focal length). For a proper comparison, you need a section (in same place as the drawing) through the 3D model.
  14. In the meantime, try SV Mapper. With that you can assign a keypress to a joystick button press. It does not create a virtual device, so all the other buttons and axes remain unaffected.
  15. Check the VKB MCG/MCG Pro grips. They are based on the same Su-57 grip and come in both English and Russian label versions (and the Russian labels are identical with the Russian labels from MongoosT-50 CM grip).
  16. The springs are very easy to change. If you are worried about changing cams, at least try different springs. You can also use one type of spring (or cam) on one axis and another type on the other axis. I have a Warthog grip (without extensions) and the default (Medium) springs seemed a little too strong for my liking. So I am using the Soft springs. This will be slightly different with a MongoosT-50 grip, which is quite longer than a Warthog grip (something like a Warthog grip + 50 mm extension). No matter which grip, I can't see myself using the Heavy springs without an extension (and not a short extension).
  17. Nice video. You should consider to get a head tracking solution (unless you use VR) and some rudder pedals. Both will make DCS (and any other flight sim) even more enjoyable.
  18. Yeah. It's good practice to clear bindings which you do not use (including clearing all bindings from a device you do not use).
  19. You have to use the executable from the folder of that module. Only StarForce modules can be activated/deactivated.
  20. Yeah, given the context, the meaning of "telling a story" does not make much sense. So I thought (wrongly) that they used "narrated" with the meaning of "spoken".
  21. Thanks.
  22. The PCB version is written on the actual PCB. If you never changed that value it in the VPC Configuration Tool, it should be the correct one.
  23. That's normal. When you use TARGET, the device or devices included in that profile are hidden from Windows (and from games) and a new virtual device is created. You have to assign that virtual device in games.
  24. Do you have more pictures like that one?
  25. That answer was to a different question.
