  1. That's where combining the axes comes up. Compact rudder pedals.
  2. Besides the ball bearing confusion, which you appear to now realize, you also missed the type of device. This is a throttle, not a joystick.
  3. "Date Submitted: 2015-12-29 04:22" Does not look good.
  4. The fix is in yesterday's patch (2.5.4.26552).
  5. I did not played that much, but I did not had any blinking/black flashes in 2.5.4.26479.
  6. If anyone is curious, this is the MiG-21 video from which that screenshot is taken:
  7. That's a good thing. You want a device which you move and it does not register that movement?
  8. As the balls dig those groves, the pivot shaft of the throttle handles does not come closer to the indent plate. That distance does not change. Unless there is some other part than the ball which is pressed against the plate. Can you post a picture with the ball bearings visible and in focus?
  9. Those "dampers" just add friction.
  10. How?
  11. Latest stable version should be 2.5.3.24984.
  12. From the release notes: Known Issues - DOS-window appears while CE II libraries loading.
  13. Initially I thought that's the first training video (which I already saw), so I did not watch it at first. Nice follow up.
  14. I would start with a better joystick from VKB or from Virpil (VPC). You can use the throttle you have in the meantime (split the T.Flight HOTAS X and put its joystick out of the way). While a good throttle is nice to have, a good joystick is more important.
  15. Maybe a Kosmosima grip would be what you need.
  16. I haven't seen this mentioned here: it only works via DisplayPort. So if your FreeSync monitor is connected with a HDMI cable (or only has HDMI), it won't work. At least not now. Also, it only works with GTX 10-series and RTX 20-series cards.
  17. Display Driver Uninstaller - it's a utility to uninstall and clean traces of graphics drivers (such as registry entries).
  18. Check the post above yours.
  19. So is the brand new Christen Eagle II already tidied up at 2.37GB?
  20. Land or water. Not limited to MiG-21bis. Haven't tried the new patch yet.
  21. That's the wrong way to do it. You adjust the springs first, to get the desired feel and then you make a calibration. During calibration, after you moved through all range on both axes, you must let go of the grip, wait for it to stabilize and only then you click the "Set center and save to profile" button, followed by "Step 3: Save device profile" button. Unless you are using extensions, the medium springs you said you are using (with soft center cams) have no problem keeping the Warthog grip centered, even when adjusted to the minimum. I have the same setup now, but with soft springs.
  22. Correct. He used his Thrustmaster Warthog grip with a VirPil (VPC) MongoosT-50 base/gimbal. I have the same combination. But that Virpil MongoosT-50 base is now discontinued. They have now another one: Virpil WarBRD base.
  23. The targets (marked with the red smoke) on that gun training mission are also positioned to the right, not aligned with the gates the game makes you fly through. So I can't see how you could hit the targets if you follow the indicated flight path. The Kh-29T did not launch, because the Shkval camera lock was obtained only when you were already too close (closer than the minimum range for that missile). You have to wait longer, for even better light, but you do not have enough fuel to do that. You can land at the near airfield (Kobuleti), refuel and wait for the Sun to rise more, or you can edit the mission to start later in the day, so that the Sun is above those mountains and the light is better. I don't know if the Shkval camera should lock or not in those lightning conditions, from enough distance to be able to launch the missile. So maybe the camera works as it should and the mission does not account for that, or maybe the camera should get a lock from farther away, even with that light.
  24. I don't know if the Shkval camera should or should not get a lock under those lighting conditions, from a far enough distance. The locking issue (if that is the issue) can be dealt with later. But in the meantime, it would be very easy to fix this training mission, by changing the time of the mission. Make it start at 12:00, for instance. Make this edit and put it in the next DCS patch.
  25. Yeah, not fixed. A few months ago I edited the mission to be later (so more light), as I read in this thread and that way I was able to complete it. The mission should be set to start at least one hour later. But better 2 hours later or even more. I just played this training mission again (now without editing it). I could get the Shkval to lock on one tank, but only after I am closer than the minimum range for that Kh-29T missile. I tried circling over the target until the Sun gets higher and the light gets better, but there is not enough fuel for the time you need to wait. So I tried another way: I landed on the other airfield nearby, I re-supplied and I waited there for better light. I took off and, with the better light, I could get the Shkval to lock while I still was farther away than the minimum range for the missile.
