  1. I am looking for an official answer regarding the warranty of WarBRD if you use extensions. The extension acts as a lever on MongoosT-50, too and there you can use them (as long as you keep the total under 150 mm). I explained the context of my question.
  2. At one point it was said (in the Russian forums, by Baur himself) that using extensions would void the WarBRD warranty. If the only issue is the maximum deflection and not the danger of breaking or bending something, then I don't see why using extensions would mean you lose the warranty (of course, it's also difficult to prove someone used extensions). So, can you comment on this warranty aspect? Make it clear, one way or another.
  3. Compatibility means you can use the Thrustmaster Warthog grip on the Virpil MongoosT-50 base (and now also on WarBRD base) without any modifications (such as extra electronic boards) or adapters. But TARGET does not work in this case. However, if you use the Thrustmaster Warthog base with a Virpil MongoosT-50 grip, TARGET should work.
  4. Also, with the heavier Warthog grip on WarBRD base they said you must use the stronger springs (WarBRD base comes with 2 sets of springs - "Standard' and "Heavy"). And this is needed for using the Warthog grip, even without an extension.
  5. Total height of WarBRD base is 105mm/~4.13" (measured from the bottom of the base plate to the top surface of the stem/end of the stem).
  6. Not sure if they officially mentioned this outside of Russians forums. But in those they said it a few times (even Baur himself, the designer of WarBRD said it will be mentioned in the warranty conditions that you can't use extensions). This should be mentioned in the product webpage, for sure, because it's important. Similar situation with the MongoosT-50 base: the maximum extension of 150mm is only specified in the Russian manual.
  7. Wrong. They said you will lose the warranty if you use extensions on WarBRD base.
  8. No extensions allowed on WarBRD base.
  9. On that crosswind I don't think you can safely use the parachute.
  10. So that option it's about Windows user accounts, not some Tacview user account. I was not sure which is the case. You might want to add this explanation to the FAQ. That's one feature from Tacview Advanced. It's the one that keeps me thinking, too, that maybe I should have gone for the Advanced version.
  11. I just bought Tacview Standard. I downloaded it and then I installed it. After I enter the product key, I have 2 options: - Register System - Register User What's the difference? Which one should I choose?
  12. I haven't done the L-39 tutorials yet, but in this aircraft when you are in the air you have to use the radio button (the one on the L-39 throttle). You can bind that to a joystick/throttle button.
  13. What framerate do you have? Do you drop below 60fps?
  14. You can't spell Vodka without a V.
  15. The 8 axes limit is per device.
  16. I think he means the stick of the aircraft model from the game.
  17. I think that the flange is too big (30mm between hole centers and 38.5mm total). You might have to drill other mounting holes and grind that flange to fit in the Warthog base.
  18. The joy.cpl is the Game Controllers panel from Windows. With it you can check if the axes and buttons are working, without having to install anything on that PC. One way to launch it is Win + R and then type joy.cpl. Or search for joy.cpl in the Windows Start menu. Is this the one you call "usb game devices thingy"? The purpose of this test is to see if the joystick is actually working on that old PC.
  19. But have you tested the joystick in joy.cpl on the old PC to see if it actually works correctly?
  20. Since now it apparently works in another PC (have you tested it with joy.cpl on the work PC?), try removing it from the Device Manager or from Settings - Devices (on your PC, from home) then reconnect it so it's re-detected. Maybe that will sort it out. I'm just guessing here.
  21. A potentiometer is an axis. If you want buttons, use push buttons, toggle switches or encoders.
  22. Also the wheel on the MongoosT-50 throttle handle is an axis.
  23. An analog mini-stick needs 2 axes, not 4. I'm sure you knew this, but messed up.
  24. You should give your price range. And prepare to be shocked by the total price of a good setup.
