  1. Afaik, memory latency is more important in gaming than memory bandwith (as long it's not far too little), as large amounts of data are not permanently moved. Maybe pay more attention to the timings..? @Supmua Your Hardware Specs are like elysium to me. There's clearly something wrong with DCS at the moment. Maybe we need something like this to get past 100 FPS:
  2. I've disabled vsync in both game and Amd settings. But I think it's an AMD issue. Still wondering that no one else has come forward. Strange that deleting the shader folder had no effect on you. Without deleting the shader I can go from "low" to "high" and the appearance and FPS will remain the same. To make that clear again: It's about leaving the game after changing the settings and then deleting the folders. Again, I am surprised that no one else seems to benefit from this. Or it is simply not being noticed... Regarding single core performance and higher FPS, I made a quick benchmark with CPU-Z:
  3. Hello again, Vertigo72. I've already started a similar thread ages ago:D. Maybe you'll find some useful information there: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=236968&highlight=oddities But one thing I can say: Every time you change the graphic-settings, you have to delete the fxo and metashader2 folder, otherwise changed settings will have (almost) no effect. Without mirrors: ~54 FPS With mirrors: ~47 FPS Only less than 10 FPS difference, but in this range it makes it unplayable for me. *Intel Core I5 4690 @ 4.4 Ghz *Asus B85M-E Mainboard *Asus Strix RX580 8GB (OC Mode) *Crucial 24GB DDR3-1866 Modules, running at 1600 (Mainboard limitation) *Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB *32" Philips Cineos 32PFL9603 TV (1920*1080)
  4. I'm suffering from the same disorder. But I gotta get through this, I'd guess this is some kind of confront-therapy8)
  5. @ Vertigo72 Sorry, but I recorded this "live" and didn't save the replay, since they are broken (what you also mentioned) When I made benchmarks to find out best possible settings, I saved a track in which I have flown a short distance over Dubai with a roll etc. Something like this will work, since there's nothing the plane can collide with and no takeoff/landing. And yes, your 1070 should perform better as an rx580, which is a tick faster than an 1060. The mirrors run better at high altitudes because it's easier for the engine to render less (blue sky or far distant ground) than at low level. For me mirrors are unusable, because of the immense frame drop.

  7. You would also have to play it on directx as comparison, to really know know what's going on. With Battlefield 4 you had a ingame option to switch api and on my old core 2 quad with hd7750 it was really noticable smoother with vulkan (mantle). "Wolfenstein II The new colossus" was really looking awesome and I could run it with everything maxed out on my fx8350 with rx580 at ~60 FPS, which I couldn't with any game at that time. Later I found out it uses Vulkan. Sure these games have nothing to do with DCS, but I think it's a good indicator
  8. Upgrade at least your GPU. I've flown the AV-8B on the PG Map with no problems before and was struggeling a bit with the addtional performance cost of the cat. Only tried Multiplayer once, but with no issues. This is what you get with an I5 4690@ 4.4 Ghz, 16GB DDR3-1600 and RX580 8GB at 1920x1080: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JM4Z7Ou0aWI&t

  10. :joystick: The best I could do so far...

  12. Ah, o.k. thx Sadly, I have no VR, and waiting for Vulkan API continues...:music_whistling:
  13. Is there a keyword to tell Jester/Viacom to tune in a VOR Station? Because only the AN/ARC182 provides the direction finder option. I'm able to tell Jester to switch his Radio to DF, but no idea how to tell viacom to select a specific VOR frequency.
  14. I'm glad for you that you solved your problem. What update with an apparent 50% improvement you mean ?
  15. Where are you Hollywood_315? We're in serious trouble here :D
  16. What do you exactly mean by TX5 pushed command is unrecognized? Tells you Voice Attack/Vaicom that, or is it just Jester not reacting? Because I was struggeling the last two days with Jester not responding to "Startup", which is a DCS Bug. So far only occured to me, when cold start on Stennis, with other F-14's on the deck.
  17. Whats the point of having the option to tell Jester switching the AN/ARC182 Radio Mode to DF, but at the same time no possibility to tune in a VOR Station? Again, did I miss something, or is everybody happy with "only" using TACAN?
  18.:thumbup: I also think functionality very limited (simplified) without the wheel. As I wrote before it seems that there are no possibilities to manually enter frequencies into the AN/ARC-182 (e.g. VOR).
  19. What I need until now, I tanslated to German. Altough I'm not that bad in pronounce english words, I had a hard time with viacom not understanding me frequently (trained the engine at least 4 times, even created new words in the dictionary). With switching to german and creating own commands it now works like a charm.
  20. Does somebody know, how to tell jester to tune into a VOR Station? AFAIK only "select nearest atc/tanker" is working to set frequencies on the ARC182 as a pilot without switching to the backseat. Or do I miss something? (Easy Com Off)
  21.
  22. In which timeframe? As wrote in the other thread, it used to work for me back in November. Now if I watch the same track, weird things happens (which all end in explosions).
  23. Harrier too. Last time replay funktion worked for me was in November. Now if I watch them again, my plane crashes into a buildings, misses runways etc.
  24. With the "KEYWORDS TRAINING MODE" do I a) Train the windows speech engine better understanding me? b) Train myself speaking to the windows speech engine more clearly ?
