  1. SB stands for Slot Back, which is the radar used by the 29. Why they didn't go with 29 I'm not sure, but that's why it's SB at least.
  2. Contacts can also be triangles. There is a chart showing that two pages up from the picture you took. They denote if a contact is hot or cold.
  3. That would be on the F16 and F18 to more accurately represent jamming not the other way around.
  4. Why would you want to use true instead of magnetic? I'm not saying you shouldn't but magnetic is the standard.
  5. After waking up I've realized the title is DCI... Apologies that should be CDI
  6. In CRS mode the CDI indicates centered when the ground track is the same as the selected course and the heading is pointing at the selected waypoint. To my knowledge this mode should work the same as TCN. F15E CDI.trk
  7. After applying ground power the UFC will turn on with the EXT PWR switch. When you then remove the ground power and switch the EXT PWR switch to off the UFC and the EMD will remain powered on. F15E Magic UFC.trk
  8. So you can use it with more than two people but if you have 1 person on the low number and 2 on the high number, the person on the low number will only see the distance to the closer high number. I use yardstick all the time with the group I fly with to do "Tacform" it allows us to fly 1 or more miles away from each other in formation to help with mutual support. I wrote a guide on it a little while ago https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AknC14Sz25ZFD70En1WuM7p3FFIHP2rvqIeisFWsslk/edit?usp=sharing The main thing here is if you are on a multiplayer server, don't use anything below 37 and 100, it will mess up the datalink for everyone.
  9. It doesn't mean it has to be off so I think you should be able to switch it "as required" Maybe I want to, maybe it's not realistic. Even if I don't want to and it's not, it doesn't really effect you in anyway so I'm not really sure why you are so against it
  10. Except for the part where the manual tells you to set the TEWS and CMD "as required" in the back seat before start for a solo flight.
  11. I would like to do this because it gets rid of the WSO model. Something just doesn't feel right to me seeing someone else in my plane that isn't actually there. Even if you are going on a solo flight you would go to the back seat and make sure all of the switches are set correctly so I don't see it as being unrealistic.
  12. I would really appreciate the ability to swap to the back seat when the engines are off and the canopy is open to preset some switches before flying with solo flight selected.
  13. @Flyfighter101 That doesn't really explain why I'll lose one member of my flight randomly when they are flying around a mile away from me and not maneuvering. I've also noticed that sometimes when you see aircraft on your radar they suddenly aren't showing on Link. Is it just dropping that information when the radar picks them up?
  14. Yeah, but I've encountered several situations where non-donor friendly aircraft don't show up on the network when the should be visible from the AWACS
  15. Myself and the group I fly with have noticed that non-link 16 aircraft tend to not show up on L16. However when I tested it a player flying a AV8B was showing up on L16 although it was intermittent. Does anyone know what causes aircraft to just randomly drop off link or not show up in general?
  16. I'm including another track file that demonstrates the adverse yaw in the viper. F16 Yaw 5 23 23.trk
  17. I believe I'm having the same problem. Here is a track file. You can see the elevation jumping when a target is bugged F16 RDR elevation 5 16 23.trk
  18. Has there been any update with this? I was doing an approach yesterday and still noticed a large amount of adverse yaw.
  19. So, I'm not going to say it's correct as is since it doesn't actually seem to replicate this correctly. It isn't incorrect. You can see here the pilot locks someone up and the aspect isn't correct but it then rotates with additional scans to the correct azimuth. It would be really cool to see added to DCS
  20. When drift C/O is selected with a crosswind and the aircraft is rolled 90° the FPM goes off the HUD. I would expect the FPM to stay where it is regardless of attitude. F16 FPM 4 19 23.trk
  21. The aspect indicator on the top left of the radar seems to skip degrees. Usually changing by 20 or more degrees when it updates. I would expect it to update with each scan and indicate everything from 18-0 unless aspect is changing very fast. F16 Aspect 4 19 23.trk
  22. Huh, I could have sworn that Wags said it was only within your flight but looking back at the video it looks like he didn't. The D/L channels would be awesome though
  23. Its supposed to be only within your flight, but that's currently not working and it shares to every viper
