  1. I was doing maximum roll reversals to demonstrate the issue for the report. I've done another flight with just a lap around the pattern and a fairly calm approach for this next one. I'd like to note how much the nose yaws right on the initial roll in the perch and how much it moves around when I roll out on final. I'm not saying there should be absolutely zero adverse yaw, but the f-16 in DCS has a lot more than the HUD tapes I've seen. Granted, I'm assuming the pilots in videos I've seen (and the one I'm linking) are using zero or minimal rudder which would align with my personal experience with fly by wire aircraft. I would love to be able to provide you with better evidence however, not having flown the thing for real we need to resort to asking people who have flown it how much rudder input is used in a normal pattern to land. I'd like to note how stable the nose is when rolling with the gear down and how little yaw there is after rolling wings level. F16 YAW2 10 15 22.trk
  2. I see that it's planned, but is this going to be added during early access?
  3. There is still a high amount of adverse yaw in the F16 when the gear is down. I would expect the airplane to be much more stable due to the FLCS automatically adding the required rudder input. F16 YAW 10 12 22.trk
  4. Are there any plans of implementing steerpoints 31-54 as LINES steerpoints? I'm running into some situations where drawing boxes on my HSD would be incredibly useful. Thanks!
  5. Just an fyi, our DCS model is a block 50 although that is still covered in the known issue section. I'm not sure how beneficial it would be to add though since it still would be extremely rare and wouldn't add to much fun to the game.
  6. It will only roll forwards though, if you are sitting on an upslope the F-16 will just sit there instead of rolling backwards.
  7. I do remember that being a problem but I think this is separate. I think this is about the LAR when you aren't straight and level. The testing I did yesterday shows that pitching up 5 degrees extends the max range of the LAR by 3nm causing the bomb to fall 4nm short of the target. If there should be 2 LARs I'm kind of surprised this thread is marked as correct as is.
  8. I just did some testing, dropped one from straight and level and another with the FPM 6-7 degrees up. The straight and level bomb hit the mark point, where the "tossed" bomb fell way short. It's amazing how much of an impact that has Straight and Level.acmi 6 degrees nose up.acmi F16 JDAM 9 22 22.trk F16 JDAM2 9 22 22.trk
  9. The A-Pole stuff added this patch but the original post wasn't about A-Pole information. I just tried it out and didn't see the DMC
  10. I'm not sure about this, but I think that stuff is only for dumb bombs. I have been having the same problem also though
  11. Spotlight and toss bombing were both added although they're listed as "Fixed"
  12. Was this added in the update today?
  13. What would this look like? I've been looking around but cant find anything on it
  14. Is this COAST mode planned to be added at some point?
  15. Are there other US vipers that uses smoke at airshows?
  16. Has there been an update with this? Looking at it in the external view it looks like the rudder is trying to adjust for the adverse yaw but it isn't doing much to help. It would be really nice to not have the nose wiggling all over the place in the pattern
  17. I just watched that last clip and there is definitely a very slow (around 1 degree per 4 minutes) pitch up. If the FLCS was maintaining 1G the nose should have stayed level
  18. You shouldn't be spiked if they are shooting an active missile at you, although you should see them on your RWR
  19. I guess I should have said designate but doesn't DTT and SAM effectively STT the target for a few sweeps though? I thought that was the main difference between RWS and TWS
  20. In one of Wagz recent mini updates he states that they are working the time to resolve search targets to track targets (I think?). I'm wondering though if we should be able to lock search targets in STT, SAM, and DTT since they don't require a track. I'm not entirely sure but just wanted to know.
  21. I know I don't have any numbers specifically for the F16. However if you ask your SMEs if they use rudder to maintain coordination in the pattern I would be surprised if they said "yes"

  23. There is no wind in the mission
  24. After update 2.7.15.25026 I’ve noticed that the F-16 has a lot more adverse yaw when at slow speeds than it used to. I’m not entirely sure if this is actually something wrong with the flight model but it is very strange having to use the rudder in a fly by wire jet. I’ve held off on this due to the lack of information I have to support this but I figured it would be better to just post here instead of sitting on it. F16 Rudder 22 6 22.trk
  25. Which is such a shame since it basically makes TOS useless for anything other than a ETE.
