  1. I already asked you the question on the other thread but this would work with Foreflight on iPad? Also, I would have though that the new maps are actually more accurate vs IRL than Caucasus. Do you see a massive difference in position? Is it usable for helicopter operations?
  2. So you managed to export GPS position to an external software like Foreflight?
  3. Mind blown. This looks so real. Amazing
  4. OK, long time ago, Wags posted this solution for Black Shark 1.01 ( I told you it was long time ago). At that time, the trick was working for SP missions only. Post is still here. --------------------------------------------------------------------- TRACK PLAYBACK PRIOR TO MISSION START (MISSION INTRO) It's now possible to create missions with a pre-recorded introduction track. The procedure to create a mission with an intro track is as follows: 1. Create a mission with the necessary triggers, graphical and audio material. 2. Launch the mission, record the intro track and save it. 3. Create a new file, called "continue_track" with the number '1' inside. The file can be created with Notepad or other similar program. The file should have no extension. 4. Open the TRK file with your archive opener (winrar, etc.) and insert the "continue_track" file inside the "track_data" folder of the TRK archive. 5. Rename the TRK extention to MIZ. As a result you will have a MIZ file that includes a track file inside. When the mission is launched, the track will be played back, after which the player will be handed control automatically.
  5. Exactly what I was about to ask. Thanks Olddog.
  6. Stable is not on my PC anymore. We are flying Beta only with the squad since it is the only one being regularly updated.
  7. For all the rotor heads here who were a bit (a lot?) disappointed with the latest ED DCS promotion video where no helicopter were shown, here is one with absolutely no fixed wings whatsoever :D and a reminder that flying low and slow is also a lot of fun on DCS! Hope you like it. (and if you do, let me know, we might have a long version in the pipe)
  8. - fix fuel gauge indicating without electrical power (i.e. when fuel qty switch set to off) It is actually the way it works apparently in the real Ka50. In BS1 and the first versions of BS2, fuel gauge was working only when energized. They changed that and told the community that it was the way it should be.
  9. Although, I would really like to see para drops from the Mi-8 in game.
  10. Oups. Double post.
  11. The last ED video (2018 and beyond) was very disappointing for rotorheads with absolutely no trace of a single blade on any scenes and therefore a pretty dull 2019 year for us. I raised this point on the YT comments and Nick Grey (one of the founder of ED in 1991) answered: "You will be pleasantly surprised Sir. 2019 will be great for helos too. Many thanks for your support..." So yes, the latest Mi24P 3d model screens shown on the newsletter were showing an aircraft that they just barely started to work on, Miltech-5 is also showing very little progress for their BO 105 and Polychop are asking us to be patient for the last 18 months and that something big is coming ( OH 58 ), but I still want to trust what Nick Grey told on YT.
  12. It s for the use of captaingloves devices. More info in the vr thread.
  13. Possible retreating blade stall. Not as catastrophic on a coaxial rotor as on a standard one, but I guess this might trigger some vibrations at least.
  14. Great! Thanks! And yes, bonne annee a toi aussi!
  15. Correct. Your 3rd parties like SR or DCSFP or others will need to use the space left outside the DCS area. There are other tricks you can do with the NS430, like exporting it as a separate viewport (like ABRIS, RWR or NADIR), so you always have it at the same place when you are switching it on and you don't have to open the window and drag. Very useful for aircraft with integrated NS430 like the Mi-8. But the initial step is the same than what I described here. For what the other said, I guess those guys were already flying with a multi monitor configuration with additional viewports and it was all natural indeed to drag the windowed NS430 out of the way without having to change anything from their current configuration.
  16. Hi Flappie. What's up on your fantastic map? You think we will have a super HD mbtiles version of your work soon in CF?
  17. You can't move the windowed NS430 outside of the DCS screen. Now, what you can do is to define in your config.lua a DCS screen larger than your first screen so it spills partially or totally on your second screen, then limit your main view to your first screen only so you'll be able to slide your windowed NS430 out of the way. I did a quick paint job here attached. Suppose you have two 1920x1080 monitors. You want your main monitor to display your cockpit in 1920x1080 and slide your NS430 on your second monitor. You want your NS430 window to be 800 pixels wide. You need to tell DCS to work on a definition of 2720 x 1080 (1920+800=2720) in your config.lua, and make sure that your main viewport in your monitor configuration (by default 1 screen.lua) is limited to 1920x1080. Then you'll be able to drag your NS430 outside of your first monitor. Note that because DCS is working on a larger definition, there can be a slight fps decrease, but not much.
  18. Is it stopping when you are turning your anti collision off?
  19. Faut que tu ailles sur le forum Francophone un peu plus en bas dans la liste Jacouille. Sauf si tu sais reformuler en Anglais.
  20. Anyone else with a SLI of 2080 Ti? :) :) :)
  21. So I was looking at my orders history and realized my first purchase was Black Shark 1 on Dec 14th 2008. BS1 came out a bit earlier actually for the Russian customers but I haven't seen anything on ED's side to remember the birth of what will become DCS and what is still today the best PC based consumer market helicopter simulation (in a large sense, including the other choppers that followed). So, let's just have a thought for this milestone in PC flight simulation. I am still flying the shark and I love her, even after ten years of relationship. Yes, sometimes she shows her age and new bugs are showing up updates after updates, but I heard ED is buying her a lifting so she will look young again. So maybe they still love her too?
  22. There's apparently a Harrier profile already available (not made by Capt Zeen) but integrated in Capt Zeen's latest export: Here you can download it - AV-8B BlueFinbima: https://github.com/BlueFinBima/DCS-AV-8B-NA-Profile Export.lua Capt Zeen: http://www.captzeen.com/helios/downloads.asp The next one to be release is an updated and optimized Huey one. I supposed the next big thing will be the F14.
  23. I think you should ask Ciribob on his discord channel. It doesn't sound like a Huey issue but a SRS one. It's generally not a good idea to use one switch to perform two separate actions. So either you use this switch to set the com selector to Radio 3 or you use it as a PTT for SRS. Another thing is you can configure SRS to do PTT on Radio 3 with 1 switch. So you can go into the controls tab of SRS and set your switch to do that, and remove the bind in DCS Options/Controls.
  24. After going on the capto glove website, my understanding is that the capto sensors are supposed to be used for other parts of the body but the hands. It is basically a capto glove without the glove. They were giving the example of having your arm or your legs tracked, you can just strap a capto sensor on it. So the capto gloves should have this sensor build in. Which makes sense when you think about it. That is all what those gloves are about.
  25. So, are the Capto sensors required for DCS?
