Long start times from desktop to main menu
silverdevil replied to Simicro's topic in Game Performance Bugs
also. DCS is arguably much slower when being scanned by AV software. if you are comfortable, you can add exceptions of DCS folders to the AV software. -
check your DCS.log. it should show you which folder is being used.
-

Main menu mouse "stutter" when ecores disabled
silverdevil replied to samtheeagle's topic in General Bugs
do you have win 11 or 10? general consensus is 11 does better with cpu management. i believe most users have abandoned the various cpu managers. unfortunately i do not suffer any problems with 11th gen i9. -

hello. do you still have a \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\config\Input folder? within that folder there are folders for each aircraft. within that folder there are folders for each controller. you can either follow this guide i made or input the configurations within DCS https://pcwiseman.com/downloads_files/DCS_New_Computer.pdf
-
hello. in the .\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta.BAK\CONFIG folder, there is a file "authdata.bin". copy that to the new \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\CONFIG folder. bonjour. dans le dossier .\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta.BAK\CONFIG, il y a un fichier "authdata.bin". copiez-le dans le nouveau dossier \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\CONFIG.

Hello, try this idea. find your DCS folder in SAVED GAMES. Rebame the DCS folder to .BAK. then run DCS. exit DCS. copy your INPUTS folder over to the newly created SAVED GAMES/DCS Bonjour, essayez cette idée. Trouvez votre dossier DCS dans SAVED GAMES. Renommez le dossier DCS en .BAK. puis exécutez DCS. Quittez DCS. Copiez votre dossier INPUTS dans le dossier SAVED GAMES/DCS nouvellement créé.

Endless "Net sim post start" after update to 2.9.18.12722
silverdevil replied to Shot's topic in General Bugs
hello. are you able to ask any other participants of the server with the problems? logically, it seems like a server problem. perhaps there a lot of backend scripts loading you are not aware of. you can also post DCS.LOG from a session that takes a long time. -
hello. make sure you have the correct time and date on your computer. pick a good source from the Internet and let it sync. try that and come back if you are still having issues. old post but essentially the same.
-
Bon jour. Have you tried a repair? If not, disable MODS first. Does the error happen on other planes besides Corsair?
-
hello. during one of your recent DCS updates, did you install the C++ 14.44.35211? i am unsure what effect this has on the launcher.
-
indeed. your log shows nothing. check windows event logs. "AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) can sometimes cause games to freeze or crash, particularly when using it with certain drivers or in conjunction with other software. Troubleshooting steps include disabling AFMF, checking for driver conflicts, and ensuring the game is in fullscreen mode with V-Sync disabled." i see mentions of other games having similar issues.

it hasn't changed. each aircraft will have different mappings. the controller ID and name of DIFFs are the same for each AC. i have 27 AC and each is same name and ID.

Model Viewer 2 Not Loading - Built-In OR Stand-Alone
silverdevil replied to Saxman's topic in Game Crash
i tried today again. this time, though it took a hot minute to open, it did finally open. no changes to my computer other than restarting daily. i leave it off during the days i am at work. @BIGNEWY is onto something about the delay with shaders. i believe clearing those folders improves the performance. -
haha. that is my doc. i am modest. not shy. i never thought to sign it. https://pcwiseman.com/downloads_files/DCS_New_Computer.pdf

lol. do you have a new log to share? avez-vous un nouveau DCS.LOG à partager ?
-
good to hear. i suspect something got corrupted. last time i ran the sim there were no less than 16 files changed on my system. i use a program called witching that has some buttuns to create backups of important files. i run this before every DCS update. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315428/

hello the crash is referencing ntdll.dll. i suggest running system file checker (fix 6 on the following link) from admin command prompt. try this first, let it fix errors, retry sim. https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/fix-ntdll-dll-crash-issue/
