Don't sell hdd / sdd, it's everytimes dangerous not just for dcs but for your personal information.

It's vr smoothing aws I think. if you have for example 15 fps it try render fake images to smooth picture to 45fps. There you have link about it https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/native/pc/asynchronous-spacewarp/

Try repair + cleanup and make sure your hdd/ssd don't have any errors.

You can use ovgme or similar program to do paste moded files. But yeah it would be better if there's on/off
