  1. Just got my 2nd hmd replacement yesterday, the 1st replacement had a curb column line like dead pixels in inner left eye. Now that I’ve tried 3 total, it feels like they’re not all created equal. 2nd feels tracking is snappier, 3rd hmd feels like gamma is darker but with visible outer rings when looking at bright lights with dark background on peripheral. Just an advice though. Put a sort of tie to hung the hmd cable loosely towards the circular back strap. So the small cable does not twist bend 90 degrees down as it carries the rest(thick) cable.
  2. Try reset HMD and Environment on WMR settings, also uninstall the HMD Halo “something” from device manager then reseat the cable so windows will reinstall the drivers
  3. Try to back up and remove your option or config lua from your save game(I forgot which is called) but the idea is to have DCS boot up with default settings
  4. custhelp.com I would be very careful do download from that link.. Edit: disregard, I looks like the download link brings you back to Nvidia.com, just coz tabs link brings you back to nvidia domain as well. like those fishing websites.
  5. MilesD, FYI your Private Message storage has maxed out. can't do step 3 of ordering. anyway proceeding with step 4. Thanks
  6. oh that is right. never mind that then, I was messing with the mission editor and forgot about that setup
  7. anyone tried this today after the update? now all it does is like a bright grey night vision. it does it with the mapped key or mouse click on the cockpit switch.
  8. You sure it is not the VR only doing 3DOF? Happens to my WMR when I had the PC on a while before firing up the WMR, it starts with 3DOF, after a minute or five it goes to full 6DOF. Usually I’d be halfway through my startup by then.
  9. did the same thing with Assassins' Creed Odyssey and Alyx. I guess the more spread out the processes is the more it heats up the cpu, meaning DCS maybe getting better with the Vulkan
  10. got better vr performance, but crushes to desktop in less than a minute in game. dialed down my memory clock and cpu clock a bit and all is good. still enjoying the increase performance
  11. looks like you ram clock is the bottle neck. one way to verify is to downclock your ram and you should see a significant lost in performance.
  12. there should be a dcs.exe inside the /bin folder
  13. TMS UP "long" means you press and hold that button for a second or so, if you are on TGP all your sensor will be looking where your TGP is looking. You can confirm this on your HUD, the square TGP marker will have a tail. If you have Maverick on the other MFD you'll see it's seeker look at that new SPI as well.
  14. So I got my replacement, and it works just like before my last one broke. Also being back to 90hz it went back to +4fps and smoother and snappier tracking. So I was right that the thick cable was fine and that the problem was the headset or the short cable on the headset that gets bent down and carries the thick cable. however the replacement has a different problem. There is a vertical curb line on the right side of the left eye(like a whole column of dead pixels). I called HP and they'll be sending another headset to me. Good thing I had to send my orig. headset and get to keep the second one until the 3rd comes. at least I got a working one until then.
  15. I’ve been holding off a while to upgrade. Even if you’re not going for the latest release know that the price of what is available now will be 20-30% lower as the new products will have the premium prize.
  16. I haven’t done it in F18 in a while but on any AC you do not wanna AAR with auto flaps, so it does not change while you are constantly adjusting thrust. In my case I would sometime struggle to AAR in F14 only to find out after that I had my auto pilot on.
  17. I am able run 90hz again, with some cycling (disabling/reenabling) reverb, & hololens from device mngr. it is a hit or miss though. Don’t like running on 60hz, feels like theres a lag with tracking, the world will slightly lag behind when you move your view, and not able to stop the world when you sharply stop you head movement. When it works at 90hz no issues at all, actually feels smoother than before until I restart. Then it’s back to trial and error. Anyways I was told I was gonna get a box to send my headset for repair, but their email sounds like I am getting a replacement. I will update this maybe next week
  18. but if it is the cable why would it work like normal in 60hz? and go crazy on 90hz
  19. Anyone having problem with reverb? Updated both win10 2004 and Nvidia 451, I started seeing flickering pixel noise over black background. Thought cable going bad as it comes and goes as I move. Next day or a restart later pictures coming on and off, sometimes with left eye and WMR keeps reseting. Called HP I thought it’s the headset connected cable that always bents down and carry the whole cables’(thick) weight. I got a replacement on the way. Then mess with the reverb some more, after some blind configuring it worked. Turned out it works at 60hz, with all the bad fish eye flicker that comes with that settings, switching back to 90hz goes back to on off left eye screen and pixels grains.. I somehow (couple of times manage to get it to get it to run at 90hz and my basic mission actually runs smoother and 4+ fps better. For some reason a restart breaks it again, worst is I cant figure out how I was able to make the 90hz stick and run without problem. Any idias?
  20. This^^^^ also helps with looking at switches next far left or right.
  21. Just before I update, I have been playing basic mission I made and would get almost smooth performance while taxiing and looking to the ground to the sides at 36 fps. After the update, a 38-41 fps but it seemed like I am slamming the brakes every second. Almost acceptable stuttering but hesitates if that makes sense. Another thing I can’t directly link to the update was now my reverb shows flickering pixel noise on dark background that can be fix by moving about a pinch/kinked part of the headset cable. Will try going back to previous driver today.
  22. My google span is not long nor layers deep, I tried.
  23. first one is like the PAPI lights, it only tells you where you are at. The second one is like a course intercept you could be left of it and flying right. or below and flying up to intercept.
  24. one is showing where you are at, the other is showing where you will be or going
  25. Through the inferno, I think it is BRC 048. Can’t be more than 360.
