I stand corrected GPS does not need to know it's relation to you're AC. It knows where it is in space, it just need a point to fly to. I think it does not care what the altitude is base on atmospheric pressure it just need a point in space, which is translated to distances from the source of gps signal from space.

Same way a regular GPS receiver knows your altitude, it does not care if you are on a plane or mountain

I think it is because GPS relies on digital information. A point in 3 dimensional space. Hence you need digital location that can be reference from your AC’s current position. Not like when you are bombing with conventional bomb that you have to use analog altimeter, analog speed, etc.

Windows probably created a temp. profile for you or you don’t have full access to your windows user login from the crash. Try a restart or create an additional windows user.

Who ever has the reverb that thinks it’s less 3D than CV1 please do this - set IPD to few points less than your actual IPD. I wanna know if that’ll result to having the needed overlap for the CV1 3D feel.

If that is the case then people with lower IPD will have wider FOV but lower 3D effect and people with higher IPD will have lower FOV but better 3D perception. Then what is the min and max IPD for the reverb again? I wanna make sure I’m on the high side.

I am just guessing, it may have to do with other complains about aircraft sinking thru the ground. If laser is getting coordinate from the ground then it maybe a problem if rendered ground is at diff. elevation than actual ground. To make it more interesting try messing with the mission QFE.

It also sounds like windows is preventing it to write files. Try to run as administrator.

One thing I notice to my PC & DCS combo lately is DCS don’t like its window to be out of focus while it is loading/busy. A click on a different window while it is busy will surely get me an error/CTD. Close windows that are not needed, I wouldn’t even pull my CV1 off while it’s busy, coz sometimes oculus home likes to throw some notification that I took the HMD off. Duh..

One time DCS crush while loading and messed up going to main menu. It turned out windows somehow corrupted options.lua and tried to recreate it with messed up setting. Verify this by renaming the whole DCS folder in Saved game folder. You’ll get to DCS with default setting. Then maybe narrow it down to options.lua

Anyone has experience tacan lagging behind the C130 on Single player? at about 2NM tacan points about 10° left of where the AC is.

I tried S3 for the first time, load up to 16000 lbs twice, both on single connection. no issue here except S3 retracts the cute at 16000 lbs, maybe how I set up the mission.

Again sweep back and you’ll almost have to full after burner just to inch forward when you’re late on reaction. On initial approach you can come at it fast deploy air break then roll on the side and yank the stick back, it’ll slow you down.

You really have to try to manual sweep back, at 55° you will be very stable at the expence of delay and more power requirement due to higher AOA, which base on your post it is what you need. With that AOA it will need more power and has delayed reaction so you will constantly think ahead for your speed adjustments. I like the manual sweep to 25-30° because with the lower AOA I Don’t need agressive throttle adjustment. To the point where I barely move them and are very responsive. Also jet is not pointing up as much so i can see the tanker if i fly a little lower and maintain it I gather the learning progress should be 55° then work your way to being able Auto sweep.
