Disable VR cursor-headset lock when Use Mouse enabled
Revs replied to Tailhook's topic in DCS Core Wish List
you’ll forget about the moving mouse once you get sucked in to the immersion of startup and other processes. I find it as a feature, because I have to look down to where the buttons are anyways, and after I started clicking i use my head to click the next buttons. Head movement is more accurate than mouse. Just need to locate and put the mouse initially. -
Fly it like you’re flaring small plane for landing. You’re keeping the plane up with back stick pressure but you would not push to pitch down just relax a bit and it would pitch down very slightly.

I was on a throughtheinferno server last week and was able to get fuel from kc135’s(not exactly sure) boom. Boom to probe, surpricingly easier than on A10c

Engine fails to start if I go to far with starting up the plane

what arturojgt said. idle cut off behind the throttle, just behind parking brake release -
I come in fast enough to a point that I will be able to slow down if I catch the basket. If I miss it, I'll back up to almost pre contact then try again. if I somehow slowed down with the basket just in front of me but not lined up, i'll back up again, trying to line up when the basket is in front of you is hard because a change in throttle also affects the oscillation. also I make sure I'm as trimmed as passible on approach so any joystick input would require the same pressure. I don't use autopilot cause that it'll change the amount of input compare to doing slow flight. edit: works also for AV8b

Only wish I ever want, save a game in the middle
Revs replied to Commandosolo's topic in DCS Core Wish List
fly your mission, do your objectives. when you don't like the outcome or you got shot down just save the track. load up the track, speed forward CTRL+Z then Shift+Z to back to normal speed. I remember there is an option if you want to take control. Select it then dodge that missile like a pro. never done it but it may work. -
you can make a back up copy of the input folder and replace the files in it per AC as needed if update mess it up. C:\Users\dreve\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input edit: I believe you can also load the files per AC in-game

I had post before that are somewhat related. At mission start with static clouds and a bit heavy mssion, try the F2 views until you get to far away aircraft, then back to yours. You’ll get about 8 fps or smoother game play. But if you do too much F2 views the clouds will be less to clear sky when you get back to cockpit view.

I would try moving pagefile to different drive with small value, restart then back to normal. maybe that will refresh what ever error is saved in it. also try running with only 8GB of memory, if it CTD again swap with the other 8GB. there is also a chance that removing memory and then back after some time will fix the error that is saved in it. then maybe clear the cmos before considering OS reinstall

Negative filter masking more than the intended area in 3d space or is not properly scaling with client resolution setting. Same feel like when I was messing with after effects. Or a duplicate case logic value as to which display is currently Mav

same here, I had most things maxed out with mirrors "on" and can get smooth gameplay on other modules, notice lag and stutters when I bought the viggen. I tried the high and low cockpit res. and only able to get the smoothness back when I turned off the mirrors. an assignable key or ability to enable and disable it in-game would also help

Try what I did on “1989 fighter sweep” mission from f18 mini campaign. Check for FPS in cockpit then F2 (view) up to far away Aircraft, then go back to your cockpit and you’ll get about more 10 fps. Note if you kept going with the F2, you’ll loose all the cloud.
-
how did this got moved to VR bug? if anything it is an FPS improvement and I would have like other people to try it because it does make my experience run smoother.

I should have clarified, I am able to see 45fps steady smooth on F2 and F3 views, 90fps Flyby view when flying away upward or towards clear sky. Cockpit is still 45fps with low at 30fps. As suposed to 30sh with low at 22fps and a bad ASW on flyby view. I’m not compalining so no need for all the track files, I just spent all night trying to reproduced that 30fps on deck on the 1989 fighter sweep mission. I will try more testing tonight Ps. Not a process losso expert either, but I’ll dig up my settings later tonight

I play on ryzen 1700 @ 3.7Ghz, 32GB@3.2Ghz, 2080ti@2.1Ghz, 250GB M.2 NVME, CV1 rift Setting High shadow, ultra view distance, max trees and preload, off traffic, mostly max everything. DCS is single thread on even number processesors affinity, VR apps on add number processors affinity, using process lasso and park controll at bitsum max performance. I only played thru the 1989 fighter sweep mission, but mainly the F2(view) trick works with heavy weather mission. Like I said If I go too far with the F2 I lost the clouds all together. How ever I dont notice anything diff. if I only go up to the first enemy AC then back on my cockpit. I do all that just before takeoff so I know I get the +8fps and smooth overall mission. I’ll do more testing tonight

I notice that on the deck I get 22fps at mission start, if I F2(view) until I see the first far away enemy AC then back to my cockpit I would get 30fps and then smoother (45-90) when flying the mission. But if I keep going with the F2 view up to the AWACS I loose all the cloud formation around the carrier when I come back to cockpit view. I t may have to do with loading the scenery to the memory. I'll check my memory usage tomorrow.

$400.00 for both used the 1080 for less than a year, 2 hrs daily gaming only. reason for selling- upgraded to 2080ti I also have been gaming in VR and don't use my TrackIR Pro anymore. I don't like dealing with shipping so preferably around East Bay of SF Bay Area California.

You looked at a wrong one. Mklink is built in windows.
-
before you delete read up mklink using DOS prompt. if you have secondary drive you'll move the file there and link it back to the game folder. the game will see it like it's still in the game folder
