Now imagine that with the A6 as full fidelity project and that is a very complex aircraft. Its better to do it as AI model for now. A7 seems better when compared with modeling a fresh 2 seat (side by side). I can see how long the F-14 is taking and that's two seat too. Good thing is F-14 will have even more better sales. A6 in an emergency chance moment cannot go air to air...eg: like you see a slow air to air mover and you happen to be nearby (sidewinders are easily spoofed). A7 has a gun and thats better sales, its got good ground pounding abilities too. Not bad...Its even a bit more faster are agile than A6. As we all know a module in DCS (full fidelity) takes around 3-5 years.

[FIXED] AJS 37 Viggen afterburner issue.
jojyrocks replied to jojyrocks's topic in Bugs and Problems
That's what I thought. I just tried again with the setting to manual fuel regulator on, and still the AB system just cuts off at around 40000 feet plus. Sometimes even after getting to low altitudes, the afterburner wont function. I tried all to manual fuel regulator and AB regulator...nothing works! Even the air restart system is bugged. My engine stalled at around 40000. Then pitched low and set the restart button after idling the engine....from that high altitude, there is plenty of windmilling to help. The engine rises to 40 some rpm and then cuts back to around 20 and remain stuck there. That airplane design can also go between 50000 to 60000 feet. In-fact, even in DCS encyclopedia it states its altitude is like 20000 meter capable. So far it cant even reach 40000 feet without the AB giving out. -
[FIXED] AJS 37 Viggen afterburner issue.

Which altitude do I turn it on and how do I manually regulate the fuel? Also when do I turn it OFF. -
As the title says...problems with Afterburner. When climbing, like to 40000 plus feet, the Afterburner suddenly shuts down and it does not appear even after resetting to altitude of below 30000 feet. I was at AoA of 5-10 degree climb and no abrupt movements. Still no matter how many times I try to climb to 50000 plus. The afterburner automatically shuts down (the 3 zone lights are still lit though) around 40000 feet and stuck in just full military power only. Location (Persian gulf map).

SR 71 is not possible...its VERRRY secretive jet. Not gonna get info on that exotic jet.
-
Su 17 and Su 22. I do hope for an Su22. They are both the same. But the Su 22 is a bit more improved variant...which is a plus. It is also very doable. Not many secrets there.
-
Yeah...if doable a BETTER sale than the A6.
-
Well, each module will take around 3-5 years develop and the more complicated the module is, its going to take even longer. Which is why I suggested the A7, a single seater and not that complex...at least when compared with A6. The Harrier is also a complex jet...with its special ability. Its going to take a looong while till its operational with campaigns.
-
I'm actually OK with A6... The single seat A7E would be much easier to make for Heatblur when compared with a much complicated A6E. But they seem to have confirmed for an AI A6, which is good. Still, as it is, they are already loaded with more work. I still believe the A7 would be much easier to work for them as its a single seater. Its upto Heatblur to make the final decision on what to make.

The more Marketable module would be the A7. It can do almost all the A6 can do and its got an inbuilt gun...plus better HUD.
-
Its too advanced and its only recently they fully replaced the EA6. EA -18G would not make sense since ECM modeling in DCS is not that developed and one cannot truly replicate an ECM, especially is sim. It makes more sense to develop an F-18E/F than EA-18G growler. When compared, Only the base superhornet has more marketable features over the growler...which is basically a superhornet modded ONLY for ECM and SEAD ops.
-
I am more interested in the A7 Corsair II than the A6 intruder. One thing is, A6 don't have gun (A7 has more hi cap gun) and not a good HUD display. When compared. The A7 has better features and is more marketable...Then there is the twin seat making A6 a bit more harder to create.
-
A mod would never amount to full blown module. But I can say...IF they do build an A4 module, then those carrier landings can be LOT of fun. I mean, unlike the Hornet we have with those info on the HUD and advanced systems, Carrier landings are a cinch with those. But with an OLD school jet like A4 that's got no Advanced gizmos like Hornet...Well you get how fun it'll be to land on Carriers.
-
A Dagger is more of a downgrade of Mirage 3. I vote for Mirage 3. Argentina used BOTH Dagger and Mirage 3 and out of it, the most marketable jet is Mirage 3 as its got more features than Dagger. I mean, why downgrade to Dagger...? I am pretty sure its easy to get info jets OLDER than the current Mirage 2000. So...jets like Mirage 3EA is possible If they got info on Mirage 2000.

Me too. Did this mission more than 5 times, no hope. Either that B1B misses the target or crashed. 2.5 version has very serious AI problems. Compared to the other Red Flag modules the F-15 red flag documents and data are not detailed much. Taking off early before your wingman lines up is a problem, coz he'll end up crashing trying to catch up. Flying low altitude is a problem too, AI can't keep up, especially on low alt.
-
Interesting... So carrier landing can be even more challenging and extra fun... Hoping for more carrier jets, less modern like A4 Skyhawk or an F8 Crusader.

MiG-19S or how to attach wings to three big cannons.
jojyrocks replied to OverStratos's topic in RAZBAM
What!? Two Mig 19 models? Really? I was hoping for a new model than another Mig 19...more like a Su 22 or even 17. -
Whatever the case. I see that the Mirage 3 has the lead. Hoping it is the Mirage 3EA. Much better than Mirage 3CJ...it would be a step up. More modern the better...right? Yes, the Argentinian air force used it.
-
I was wondering why my wingman would circle around the airfield after I order him to RTB. He would circle at mach speeds, sometimes oddly with the landing gear down and crash. That was very strange...
-
Thanks for the info! I was unaware as to what modifications did the French make for giving the Mirage 3E modded for Argentina. Nice pics! cockpit looks good and modern for that time. The radar should be at least better than CJ model...anyway it should at least be a bit more upgraded than the CJ. This should be a better sale than the IAI Dagger which mostly does not have a radar.
-
I wonder if what kind of HUD does the A6-E has... If its not like those modern HUD that shows a lot of info, then Carrier landing should be so much fun, especially at night. How did those WW2 and cold war pilots land at night times? I'm sure they had it extremely tough than the modern pilots with better HUD display aid.
-
I am hoping for the Mirage 3EA for the Argentinian air force, Its actually a Mirage 3E of the French slightly modded to meet Argentinian standards. The Mirage 3EA is more modern than the IAI Nesher/Dagger and the Mirage 3CJ. The Mirage 3EA has improved set fitted with Cyrano II radar with additional air-to-ground modes compared to Mirage IIIC, improved navigation equipment, including TACAN and a Doppler Radar in undernose bulge and better high cap drop tanks for range. Pretty sure the devs can get data on this if they can on the Mirage 2000 which is more modern. I mean this is a retired aircraft, not many secrets there.
