Well its a cold war era jet and not much secrets stuck in them. I would love to see a latest model of the Crusader like the J or K.
-
I would much prefer the EE version or the M only and not overtax Aviodev too much with MANY models. It looks like the polls favour many models...I guess overtaxing them it is...

I am pretty sure SARH missiles on Russian aircraft is just for others to underestimate them. Pretty sure they have switched to using active radar missiles. SARH missiles in this day and age is VERY USELESS. One has to keep the enemy painted with their own radar for the missile to even get guided to it. If the enemy fires the missile, You'll be forced to evade and break lock and an expensive missile going waste. Yeah...we'd love to see R27 active radar versions.

F/A18E/F Super Hornets block 1 and BLock 2 E/F ( lot 26)
jojyrocks replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Core Wish List
The Super Hornet isn't much different from its Legacy Hornets. The only stark difference is that it can carry a lot of advanced munitions and fuel tanks too. Its got increased range and more external fuel tank capacity. The cockpit looks similar aside from some digital features like Touchscreen UFC panel etc... On performance grounds, its a slight bit lower than the legacy....not by large but still its lower. I'd rather see ED work on some other fresh aircraft that's different from the Hornet. Although...an AI asset would be great.... -
I second this... The Mods can only do so much and it definitely wont come close the class of a full module feel to it. Even if this mod looks VERY WELL done. Still...mods are mods. Would love to see an A-4 model...anything above the E versions will be great fit.

It also seems there are only a very FEW Russian jets that are doable. Su-17 series seems doable. The most modern doable is the Baseline Su-30 in its FC3 watered down form. I am sure it can be doable if its not full fidelity. The Su-30 has more modern weapons and it can take on the USA jets. It is the only jet that can at least keep up with the likes of F-16 and the lot of that generation. So far we only have Cold war Russian planes...its kinda OK. But we don't even have some British planes either. The Hawk being unavailable. I wonder if the Britishers are tight lipped as Russia is?
-
Yes...that's why I said realistic wishes. Coz Pre 90s era jets are even more doable than the present ones. We are already getting some altered F-16 Block 50 and the F-15E. Some of its tech will be hidden. Some pre 90s jets. It excludes the F-117, SR 71 and the Mig 25 for example. From the British. I can only see the Jaguar and the Lightning being more doable and marketable. I dont see the Panavia Tornado happening anytime soon with some countries still using and needing all their approval. The Jets I listed always have the internal cannon and in case one needs to take down an enemy helo or bomber if you encounter them on your path. The guns will do the job. The missiles have more probability to miss... I really do wish DCS would include the Naval F-4 along with the Air force version of the F-4E. Carrier ops would certainly be fun!
-
Well, that seems doable but the Super Hornet is still in service and most of its tech is a kept secret. Its still more fresh than the F-15E...and we are getting F-15E. The Super Hornet is said to be more stealthier at some aspects than the F-15E and the Legacy Hornets. So, all in all the doable jets of the latest gen are only Super hornet and after the jets after that and beyond are certainly kept secretive. The Panavia Tornado could also be doable. But I highly doubt the British would allow for that to be in a sim, they too like Russia is bit more tight lipped on their jets. We had the Hawk...but that's unavailable now. The Russian doable jets can only be hoped for FC3 level kind of jets, if we even want a baseline Su-30. For Rotorfans. I can see the Cobra in the slot and the AH-64.
-
The only upcoming latest gen aircrafts are the F-16 and F-15E and the rest lare a bit too fresh and has too many of those secret tech in them. Thr next latest possible is Tornado...but the British is a bit more tight on their security.
-
I know that a lot of DCS projects are coming along fine... The following aircraft's would be doable and more versatile to fly.Yes, I know its yet another wish-list...but with realistic expectations. USA --------- F-104 F-105 F-4 Phantom both versions if possible (One for AF and the other for Carrier) Russia -------- Mig 27 - Got a great cannon. Su 17 and 22 series (anyone of these). UK ---------- EE Lightning SEPECAT Jaguar - any possible version Hawker Hunter France ----------- Super Mystere B.2 Well...I do believe the above list of planes can be doable and they aren't so sophisticated to warrant extreme secrecy.

Hope you guys also introduce some dialogues like with Jester on the F-14. What I am inferring to is...The similar dialogues and comments on our Landing from the LSO. It would be a motivation to perfect that landing. Landing grades and comments.

So we are getting the F-8J model...correct? Looking forward for that. Carrier landings will be fun.

Well, The JF-17 early version is slightly outdated by todays standards. Its was just a stopgap fighter to bolster Pakistani airforce numbers. As for Tejas. Its not that different either, but it does have advanced avionics suit than the JF-17 that is in service in the Pakistani airforce. Also, JF-17 has been inducted much earlier than LCA Tejas. The variant which we are getting is the early variant. Well, Tejas is also a stopgap fighter, at least the current variant. Its range is weak. Its just Mig 21 and 27 replacement. Its was granted Final Operational Clearance only on 2019. Only advantage its got its new flyby wire and the use of extensive composites. Too fresh...
-
Nice pics... The LCA Tejas is still VERY fresh in the Indian inventory. Its just been inducted. I don't see it being made. This plane is geared to be a intercept and defense fighter, Its weak point is range...lower than the Gripen.
-
Why would need a downgraded F-15A when there is a good possibility of the C model? Its like flying a downgraded F-15C...not really looking forward for that. The F-15E model is being developed already.
-
Tornado would be a good Idea and IF that is not possible then A SEPECAT Jaguar.
-
The most realistic expections on Russia side is as follows: -Sukhoi 17 series -Mig 27 (Ground attack version of Mig 23 with an awesome cannon to rival A-10). - Sukhoi 15 Flagon. FC3 version: Su-24 Su-30 early versions
-
Yes, I am serious... Fact 1: We still have only one British jet and that is the Hawk which is till unfinished than other modules. That is a fact. Its quite obvious that latest jets from some countries other than USA which has given permission to do the F-15E and F-16 Block 52 is restricted. I have doubts the British would give permission to do a module on the latest Tornado IDS variants and they are still in service.
-
The latest F-15 (examples offered to Saudi's and Qatar) which is actually a trial run for the proposed F-15X has Fly-by-wire for USAF. They've got the extra 2 more hardpoints on the wings. Then more powerful engines.
-
I believe only the latest variant is classified. So far only 1 British jet (the Hawk which is still not finished...). The Harrier does not count. It seem the British are just as secretive about their jets as the Russians. Getting license on those jets like Tornado would be very difficult. Then again its slowly getting phased out in favour of the Eurofigher latest blocks getting adapted to Ground attack roles too. I guess only a Tornado Gr1 or 1b would be possible. Still its much more better market sale than an A6 for sure. Its swing wing and it also fits nicely with the Middle Eastern countries as some of them use it too. Its got a gun...which is again another plus.

[FIXED] AJS 37 Viggen afterburner issue.
jojyrocks replied to jojyrocks's topic in Bugs and Problems
I see...So it was a bug after all... Thanks for the reply! Will await for the fix to come. So far, I have no idea what the manual fuel regulator and manual afterburner regulator does. Yes, I tried those too at such altitudes and Viggen certainly "looks" well designed enough to hold higher altitudes. It should at least hold level flight at 25-30k altitudes without relying on AB. Also the external drop tank release button cover and the switch is not switchable. -
[FIXED] AJS 37 Viggen afterburner issue.
jojyrocks replied to jojyrocks's topic in Bugs and Problems
I just tried the Viggen again on the Caucasus map. 8700 Meter and it can't hold a level flight with full military power (meaning, no AB 1, 2 or 3 on). This time, zero load, and 50 percent fuel. -
[FIXED] AJS 37 Viggen afterburner issue.
jojyrocks replied to jojyrocks's topic in Bugs and Problems
A curious test of mine to see if the AJS Viggen can hold at least close with its JA 37 version of max alt of 590000 feet service ceiling. Design is same...so started with 70 percent fuel and zero loadout. Seems like it struggles from 30000 feet in full mil power....strange! -
[FIXED] AJS 37 Viggen afterburner issue.
jojyrocks replied to jojyrocks's topic in Bugs and Problems
Just found out the Viggen can't even keep speed between 30-35k feet on FULL military power. All other jets can, even the Vintage Mig 15 plus that trainer L39 can.
