Why is the FW 190 still broken grrrrrr, that engine blow bug drives us crazy !!! Come on ED, the bird is not usable in MP

Server doesn't show up again and if I try to connect via IP it says server is offline. Running open beta, two days ago it was fine. Now again the server is invisible and can't join a MP session by typing in the IP adress ... WTF ?!?

Try dynamic weather, the preset weather options cause stutter. If I use the sliders to set up base, thickness, etc. it always gives me those short freezes and hickups. Just go to dynamic to the right and type in what you like.

Some modules may be a little harder on your hardware but not to those extend. It is really not that one module runs fine and another runs poor. The differences are margial which lets us to the point that the game is poorly optimised. I really have the feeling that evetything above 60 fps makes things worse ... Cant explain but my new monitor gives me microstutter even with gsync at arround 100 fps. My poor old 60 hz TV runs just fine at 60. So a big NO to "Should I upgrade my hardware to get better performance".

1080 ti, 8700k, 32gb, 2x ssd, etc etc I sure get frame drops like you at certain scenes like trees, las vegas, clouds but those things are normal and we can deal with it by adjusting our settings. I and lots of other customers have weird terrain stutter, hickups, some say short freezes. And these are not trackable and must be game code related. There is no cure for it as of now and furtunately or unfortunately all other games I know of behave normal.

True, but this is the thing that bugs me the most. We reach almost the year 2019, 1080p, 60 fps is not what we should talk about. I get constant fps way over 100 in DCS with 1440p, all settings maxed out except msaa 2x and ss off. Microstutters thought together with some random freeze burst that DCS is known for. We have Gsync, 4k, TrackIR, VR ... The game has to work with these technics. In DCS the frames are totally inconsistent, jumps, hickups, microstutter, short freezes, you name it ...

Do they speak to anybody ? I mean DCS is the only game I know with these huge stutter problems even on a high end rig. I stopped buying aircrafts for now, and my advice for new DCS players is just to use the free base game. You get the best map and two lovely planes. The TF 51 and Caucasus map for zero dollars ... Whats not to like.

And I have no problem spotting in 1440 by the way, seems much easier like in real life. Flew only in BS though ...

I feel Zoom is very much cheating and so I never use it. Whats the point flying a WWII plane and zoom in and out ? We can do this with the modern pods in the A 10 or the Harrier for example but zooming pilot view is a no go.

DCS does NOT give you ultra 60fps or whatever you call it with a 1080 Ti on a 4k TV period. Very bad advice !!! You have just Vsync option with an OLED TV and your frames will drop very often in 4K. Lots of trees, low level, etc ... The FPS will dip down below 60 and with no Gsync n Freesync you will get massive stutters. You could disable all the bells n whistles in the graphic options or set your fps target to 30 but that would be the next bad advice. 8700k, 32gb ram, 1080 ti here. Believe me, been there, done that. Ultra settings will give you the full range when it comes to fps. More than 100 down to almost 30 if you fill your screen with trees, cities, shadows, other aircrafts, etc. You need Gsync or Freesync to max out graphics, then you won't notice the frame drops.

TrackIR stutters on my end, mostly 45 degree angles. Same old story, DCS has a field of view problem. Terrain stutter at certain angles which transfers to TrackIR. No Gsync here if that helps ...

TrackIR stutters like described by OP in the opening post. Not pleased at all. Can we skip new modules till the core game wrks ?

Poor Goa, but hey ... You are not alone my friend. Got TIR 5 today and have stuttery movement, mostly when I start panning slowly and I think most of the time its the 45 and 90 degrees angles. Nasa Computer here so its the same old same old. Buying expensive stuff doesn't mean DCS will be a blast. Give the TIR one more day of tweaking, then back to the seller. I have 60hz TV right now if that helps.

Same here, could connect multiple times to burning skies (max 4 players) server but later when the server were populated with areound 20 players, stuck in loading screen. 32gb ram here.

Problem is: if you see the fidelity and beauty of the new P 51 or the Spit the 109 and the Dora may not look good anymore. They should try to keep all planes at the same quality level or the difference between them will bother people. So yes, I'd like to see an update for the axis birds.

I have a problem with the Spit: As I started to use the sync Hotas option in the settings the Spitfire was indeed all of a sudden a real pleasure to fly. Difference like night and day ! But somehow the Spit or the game in general seems not to remember that I have still checked this option in the settings. Any suggestions guys ?
