  1. Hi, I need help with the model viewer. I'd like to be able to get into the cockpit but I cannot. Which file should I open and/or which icons should I click? Otherwise, is there a list of x cockpit arguments and param range for each? Thanks for your help
  2. Following @Rudel_chw's advice, I've updated the campaign to version 1.04: December 19th, 2021: version 1.04 - Forced civ traffic off in mission files. - Added link to forum thread on the campaign.
  3. Hi Madgrim, Thank you for your kind comment on the campaign. I think it has to do with the Options you've selected in the main menu. On the leftmost column, check the third row for "Civ. Traffic" and select Off. Let me know if it works.
  4. What I meant is there are six groups in the mission but only five in the Groups section for the FR22. E.g. in the following screenshot, Colt 1 1 for 299.50 AM is missing. Is there a way to manually configure them in the mission editor or the miz file?
  5. I am not sure the Mirage F1 has a trapezoidal wing. It is definitely a swept wing jet. Also, it is not the in same gen as the F-14, 15 and 16. The F-1s first flight dates back to 1966 whereas the F-14’s was in 1970, the F-15’s was in 1972 and the F-16´s was in 1974. There is a generational gap in tech. between 1960s fighter jets and their 1970s successors. i doubt the F-1 is the equivalent in performance of even a first gen F-16. It is probably a counterpart to the Mig-23 (first flight in 1967) in terms of performance, though it might be more nimble. It is also contemporary with the Viggen (first flight in 1967 too). Besides the Viggen, I can’t recall the existence of any US or otherwise western fighter jet that sits between the F-104/F-4/Mirage III/Lightning and the F-14/15/16/18.
  6. Yes indeed. The Zagros mountains should be snow capped in winter.
  7. Hi, I'm making a mission with 4 groups of Viggens + 2 of F-18s + 1 of F-14s + 1 E-2. The 4 groups of viggens are actually two pairs (with a flt ldr and a wingman), each sharing the same frequency. I am counting on the FR22 group selector. All groups have their number in the radio except one Viggen group. Is there a way to manually configure the groups in the FR22? Thanks
  8. I agree with Steven. Keep up with your great work!
  9. This has been a revelation for me. I had never thought ternav was based on a doppler nav radar
  10. I understand why certain early versions could be more difficult to simulate in DCS. Thanks for your knowledgeable answer. If we consider a plane like the J-35 though, it does not seem to be the case that early variants would be more complexe, save maybe for one system: the navigation radar (probably a doppler system). Do you have any clue about the level of complexity this kind of system would entail?
  11. I’ve been thinking I would rather start flying an early variant and get the upgrades in the same order RL pilots did. Also, I suspect since early variants are less complex, HB might be able to release them faster than otherwise. Also, it is likely HB will make a flyable J-35 after the AI version (this is what they intend to do with the A-6). It’d be more enjoyable to fly a 60s version of the Draken in its proper setting as this was the plane’s heyday. The -J version dates back to 1985 and it was already surpassed by any modern fighter plane of that time. What are your thoughts about the variants release order (and/or the Draken)?
  12. I'm sorry for your loss! Still can't wait to lay my hands on the F1. Call me insensitive
  13. Whatever aircraft modules HB is going to release, I'd suggest they start by releasing the early variants first (the opposite of what they did with the F-14B being released before the -A).
  14. I do appreciate the feedback very much. I've been thinking about the repair issue on roadbases and I think if I put invisible FARPS that should solve it. I'll check if it does in the coming days.
  15. I did fly this mission several times when testing the campaign. Most of the time but not always, I would pass it successfully. I just lowered the difficulty for this mission to make it more predictable (v 1.03 has been uploaded to the DCS website). Let me know if the problem persists after you've given it another try. On another note, I started making walkthrough videos for certain missions and added the first two to the initial message starting this thread.
  16. I've been thinking the heading you input in Bana/grans should depend on the Kurskorr position (to the back of the horizontal right console) for magnetic declination correction. Two or three years ago, it did not work. But now it is possible to lift the cover and rotate the knob. But I am at a loss as to where the knob is pointing as there's not indication whatsoever. In theory, if no course correction is set up, then, I think you should use the magnetic heading for the runway (074). Otherwise, use 080.
  17. There's indeed no way to repair an airplane on a roadbase. I did fly the mission again and cannot reproduce the behaviour you're encountering with rocket I did notice INS drift seemed to be quite extreme in the last few months since I saw the behaviour John4pap describes in every mission I flow with the Viggen.
  18. Thanks for the report. It's been corrected. I also checked if similar issues affected missions 8 to 10 and it was the case. That has also been corrected and improved. Version 1.02 is up for downloads. I suggest you download the latest version of the campaign and overwrite missions 7 through 10 in your campaign folder.
  19. hi Fez, just released v 1.01 of the campaign to correct for the wrong runway heading. I suggest you download the latest version of the campaign and overwrite missions 4 through 10 in your campaign folder or any mission you did not fly yet starting with #4. And BTW, thanks for the detailed report.
  20. Hi iFez, Thank you for the kind comment. I just checked the missions that start from Samgori road base. There's no RWY 061. There's 63-243 (the one you take-off from) and 161 - 341. 69 is the true heading, 63 is the magnetic heading. Can you be more specific if my reply is not helping?
  21. Hi, Several mountain peaks in Israel, Lebanon and Turkey are snow capped in winter (e.g. Mount Hermon, Mount Lebanon range, Anti-lebanon range, Taurus mountains). I'm wondering if this will be implemented in the Syria map?
  22. Razbam has already said they'll make a Mirage IIIE module. No one has taken a stance on the F-104, though. Same with the F-4C.
  23. In the Sinai, four more wars were fought between Israel and Egypt: 1948 war of independence 1967 Six day war 1969 War of attrition 1973 Yom Kippur war
