Military Assets for DCS by Currenthill

I don't use OvGME, I use symbolic links. But I've tried just straight up unzipping it into the SavedGames folder with same result. -

Strangely, if I install Russian Assets, then generate a mission in DCS Retribution that uses Russian Assets, I can load the mission with no problems. It seems to be just the ingame mission generator that has a problem with the mod. -

Checked that. The in-game mod manager shows it as active, along with the other CH mods -

I use a mod manager. Although I have also tried to copy and paste to mods/tech folder. -

Nope, just the 3 I downloaded from the currenthill website the other day...all latest versions. Just downloaded the Ukraine Asset Pack to see if that works and it does with no problems. But enabling the Russian Asset packs gives me that error every time - invalid stoi argument -

I have 3 of the CH mods installed and running fine. However, when i installed CH Military Asset pack Russia, anytime I try to generate a mission in DCS it fails with 'invalid stoi argument'. Nothing out of the ordinary I can see in the DCS log. All Assets packs are running latest version, as is DCS. Deleted the Russian Asset Pack, redownloaded from a different mirror, but getting the same error. Anyone else encountering same and found a fix? -

yeah, I'll lower the payload a bit and check it out. I just figured if I can takeoff with my limited skills, they should too -

Anyone else having problems with wingmen crashing on takeoff? They're heavily loaded but still 3000lbs below MTOW. Wingman 2 can sometimes takeoff but crashes shortly after. 3 & 4 run out of runway every time. -
Quest 2 ASW does not work it just halfs my Framerate

Virtual Desktop is great - when it has the bandwidth. For me I have stable bandwidth with Oculus Link whereas with VDXR it randonly fluctuates between 890MBps one day and 230MBps the next. -

Oooh, thanks for that...will be sure to try it! -
I fly the Mosquito and P-47 quite often using BR4DCS or DCS Retribution, and by the very nature of the bombing techniques of these aircraft, you're going to be exposed to AAA. With BR4DCS, I can someimtes (50/50), survive the AA by bobbing and weaving; but with DCS Retribution, I'm often shredded by multiple AAA sites when diving to the target. My workaround is to limit the AAA in these missions to the Flak18 variant and perhaps also the AAA Skdfz (can't remember the correct name). So now I encounter flak, which is still dangerous, but not deadly everytime. Also set the AAA skill to Average. Hope that helps.

Its a great mod to have for the Mosquito while waiting for the Navigator to be implemented.

Just wondering is there a mod out there that converts concrete runways to WW2 style runways? Or is there a way to simply replace the appropriate textures from Caucasus with the ones from Normandy to achieve this? I wanted to try some WWII missions but use the Caucasus map for a change.

Wow - Impressive indeed! -
Keeping it in the hope that ED & Razbam get this whole situation resolved.

Is this still an issue? I have the F-15E but haven't invested any time in it yet. If bugs such as these are prevalent, I probably won't

Not putting this in the Problems & Bugs thread as it's likely user error. I haven't flown the AV8B in quite a while so bare with me. If I take-off from the runway, everything runs as expected. If I take-off hot from the ramp, I taxi to runway and then take-off, as soon as I lift off the runway I get a massive roll to the left or to the right. Ingame, I can see the stick move to the left (or right) even though I'm not giving it any input. It takes full deflection on the stick to keep the plane level. I've checked keybinds and axis assignments but there are no conflicts. I don't experience this with any other aircraft, just the AV8B. I'm possibly missing a procedure from hot start as the aircraft flies normally if I start on the runway rather than the ramp. Any ideas?

In my case PC2 is quite old, Amd 2600x and 16gb RAM. PC1 is Amd 5600x, RTX3090 and 64GB RAM. With the advent of multithreading... 1. Are there any benefits of running a server on PC2 and fly on PC1 for solo play? 2. Or, run dedicated server and client both on PC1? 3. Self host on PC1 on same client? ie. Choose multiplayer on client and fly mission from there 4. Just fly regular mission without any hosting? Asking because I occasionally get CPU bound and wondering if a server and client will use separate threads or does multithreading make the whole thing redundant?

I get shot down all the time by SAMs in the F-16 so I made a mission to practice with an SA-2 about 20 miles from me. I chose the SA-2 as I thought it would be an easy one to evade (Vietnam era missile). Watched a few youtube videos on SAM Evasion and tried to implement their tactics by notching, beaming, diving and chaff use. Still get hit by this SA-2 every time no matter what I do. So, I did a little research on the forums and hoggit. It would appear, according to some, that the SA-2 simulated in DCS is a lethal variant and very difficult to evade. So what SAM system would be a good one to practice with? SA-6? Also, any pointers for SAM evasion appreciated.
