  1. More importantly, you still have full elevator authority. When you are actually going into oversweep, you’ll get annunciators telling you the elevon is locked out of being able to hit the wing. It won’t actually oversweep until that interlock is satisfied.
  2. Why don’t you let your pilot pilot? Once a RIO is strapped in, you aren’t seeing much of the front cockpit. Run a checklist with the pilot, but don’t be a back seat driver man.
  3. Problem is, I can't tell as where I'm sitting and my monitor change all the arrangements. The lower picture looks overly fisheyed. And that will make you queazy. The upper picture should crop out more of the upper frame. and the canopy jettison should ideally be at the edge of the frame. It's a Zolly problem. You would need to find the spot and "zoom" to get the perspective more correct, right now the vanishing points are putting you in a compromised spot both for reading dials and seeing out the front. It will always be some compromise not in VR. I was never able to manage it without having a Zoom axis. It becomes second nature quickly.
  4. I missed it previously, it’s a good read! Hashtag not all zombie threads.
  5. But then they can’t chainsaw like all the cool eSports dorks in the Hornets do.
  6. Simple answer, they don’t wanna so too bad. Happy?
  7. The B will definitely manage a full deck run if the Kuz is steaming into the wind and not broke/on fire for 5 min.
  8. I bet VX-4 knows what it would do. But they ain’t talking.
  9. You’re confusing reality for computer game physics. The computer game physics, which don’t work anything like real physics, doesn’t comprehend what you’re doing. These things aren’t Real Physics Simulations. They’re game Simulacra that appear to act the same but are nothing like actual objects interacting with each other in the real world.
  10. Well, it’s still an EARLY ACCESS product so…plan accordingly.
  11. Honestly you’re either not quite high enough, or not forward enough. You should see the yaw string at least a little. The sim gives a false sense of distance, with it’s projection. You’re real close to the panel in the plane in reality. Like your elbow is still bent reaching at stuff close. The glareshield should feel like it’s right about over your knees in VR. And really the towel rack should feel like a folded up sun visor. It’s in front of you, but not really directly in your normal line of sight. On a 2D screen projection you really shouldn’t be wasting pixels on it if you can head track to glance at the mirrors.
  12. Well, I mean, at night you can tell it’s on….
  13. True. Each livery simply has it’s own “animation” strip of numbers. So each livery has it’s own individual “font”. But, that’s a model animation built into the plane model. Which HB didn’t do, meaning like some other “why don’t they just” requests would mean complete rework.
  14. Well, they're betting people will when they drop the Corsair.
  15. It tells you what school grades the kids who end up walking on the un-exploded bomblets would most likely have earned.....
  16. Probably, Light Bloom has been a whole thing for a couple years now. ED isn't "helping" because it's not ED's product. Presumably third parties are expected to hold up their own end, with or without API/SDK/or thorough documentation.
  17. High quality Schrabing. But if serious; https://meteormusic.bandcamp.com/album/defender-of-the-fleet-heatblur-f-14-original-soundtrack
  18. No this is the standard and accepted DCS definition of “Soon”.
  19. It’s “only” been 2 years. /s
  20. Wish they would, but they built some of this in weird ass ways due to how the DCS engine works. I remember just the light change with one of the big 2.5 updates was a whole ordeal for them because it involved a bunch of “animation layers” or some such. DCS is not running a modern style graphics engine. You’d never build a game this way if you were starting from 0.
  21. These pictures look blown out. The GAME gama is one thing, but what is your Video Card and Display doing? Gama is only an actual thing in relation to the environment the display is in. “Gama” in the game is not really Gama. I believe Heatblur is working off a calibrated 2.2 for their equipment in their office. It almost looks like you have a monitor setting but in a VR headset. VR headsets are always tuned too damn washed out so they seem bright because your face in in an unlit box an inch from the screen. Also on the radio panel, that little nub Right of the display is a separate brightness knob. Make sure that’s cranked all the way up especially at what appears to be high noon.
  22. Yea it was sarcasm. The classic “no it’s a feature not a bug” style of comment.
  23. I think it may be “Everyone in Europe gets a vacation” time right now.
  24. I mean, they are always kneeled to get into them. It’s quite a big first step to the ladder otherwise.
  25. HB really takes a lot of time. End of statement.
