  1. And really, as soon as the changes get made, ED will change some factor of the Simulated Physics Environment and it starts all over again.
  2. Have you considered putting them on Cgtrader.com for money at least?
  3. I can't see anything useful in those twitch videos. just low rez fuzz. But TWS isn't a lock. If you have a contact on the fishbowl your RIO needs to use the DDD to do a real Big Boy radar lock. The AWG9 isn't a point and click solution. You'll need to post a better video that focuses on the TID or better one from the back seat. And at much better resolution.
  4. Isn't, just looks that way. Feels great when using it.
  5. If you're on Ground power, you're mostly doing things that you would rather have the systems stay isolated for. Like running one engine, while changing the hydraulic fluid on the other side etc...Since you're supposed to pull Ground power once your Right engine stabilizes (because Ground power is right up next to the left intake and so you wouldn't want to unplug it after starting L), it's no big deal in normal operations since you check the Hydraulic Transfer pump between starting R and Starting L.
  6. Hell for that matter take a GT500 Mustang and a Dino 208
  7. Ace has always felt to me more like a Debug setting not an actual AI setting you're supposed to use in real mission designing. Or perhaps you pepper one or two into a campaign.
  8. I think some of the consensus is that the AI knows the Chaff is just a Die Roll, so they unload WAY more Chaff shots than a player would. Every shot is another pass/fail roll of the dice.
  9. I did up a table top cheater rig off a converted old suncom Talon base I had left over from making a F-15, F/A-18, Harrier Warthog compatible grip (that I still haven't finished) it's not a pretty as White Rabbit's TID/DDD. I just use a second monitor to run DDD and TID side by side. The Weathering I did on it looks better, especially after a few more passes of scratches, chips and touchup painting.
  10. To self assign, couldn't they be hucked in pre-programmed by anything?
  11. We'll let Mx know, but right now skipper says we're out of black paint. Welcome to Naval Aviation.
  12. This has to stop already.
  13. Why? nobody should be using any module in competition until it's out of Early Access RIGHT?
  14. What order do you have limit Afterburner use in the hierarchy? The mission designer has to basically do ALL the pre thinking for the AI. If "Get the bad guy" is above "limit burner" then they're going to prioritize get bad guy over limiting burner.
  15. The thing I don't think is being understood is, DCS doesn't just have you plug in real world specs and then it perfectly simulates them. As I understand it from some lazy Lua digging, there's basically a "missile" model, and individual missiles are built off of that by non-dimensional coefficient adjustments. And the coefficients to get the performance you want is basically educated guess work and iterative testing. Which when they change things in the "Missile" model, then throws off those coefficients.
  16. That's one typical looking Tomcat.
  17. Because ED just re-fudges it in the interim. Heatblur is waiting for them to actually make any actual commit because Heatblur is 10 or so people and ED is close to 150.
  18. I believe in the past the response was "We're waiting on ED to finalize how carrier deck interactions work so we don't have to fix it twice." Which........well, "Waiting on ED"......especially with the Supercarrier.......ya know.
  19. Are you HOLDING down the NWS button to steer? It's not a toggle in the F-5. And no it should never stay in the Reset Position, the reset position is literally a mechanical reset. You pull it up and stuff goes clunk. Once it's reset it goes back to OFF when you let go. Or it SHOULD. Pulling the Gear Release does nothing to the switch. Pushing the Gear Release back in does NOTHING to the switch. After you push the gear release back in you reach down and plunk the switch to RESET then let it go back to OFF.
  20. There is a force pulling it to the floor, it's all the weight in front of the main landing gear. You have to preemptively catch it. Easier to do with FFB.
  21. For real pilots it's right on the stick by their thumb, and that button also works as a countermeasure release when the gear is retracted.
  22. That's unfortunately an Eagle Dynamics problem since they have all control of missiles.
  23. I mean, it could if someone from Heatblur say, did an episode, and say, asked any listeners for any resources they may have available to supply. Just because you looked, doesn't mean it's not out there, just not where you looked.
  24. Ohh and extra switch PLAYERS need to know ya meant.
  25. Need to know? It's literally right by your thumb on the stick.
