Micha, thanks. I've learned how to fix the missing export for the HSI Arritir lamp in the xml file. I'm quite excited about that. :) If you give me some time, I will create a full generic L-39C profile (gauges and lamps). I will then note each issue that arises to see if you want to address it. If you like it, you can rename it to the default L-39C profile. Someone else could add the clickable controls (I don't use these). What I wish I could do is artwork. The L-39 background could use some improving. Just a simple rounding of the corners of the blue/gray gauges panel would help a lot. ======== Suggestion discussion time! The Ikarus gauges have red overlays for gauge glass. These are triggered automatically if I remember correctly. They are toggled with the "Gauges Backlight" option box while in the editor. A, dare I say better, approach would be to have one overlay toggled over the entire panel. Instead of toggling this option with the-hour-of-day lua code, you can use the export for the cockpit lighting. The red/white modifier could toggle overlays to make the cockpit appear in night lighting. Like I say, I'm just discussing as idea here and I haven't even tracked down the cockpit lighting routine. Heinz, you have to PM a mod for things like that. Best of luck.

Controls indicator - possible to move it?
JG14_Smil replied to epoch's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hello epoch, Double check where you are looking. Shouldn't be in scripts. Here is my exact path (for the L-39): C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\L-39C\Cockpit\ControlsIndicator\ When you find it, edit only one number a tiny amount to see where it moves. (Just in case, be sure to use Notepad++) -
Hallo Heinz, I'm sorry, which solution, digits or the gauges? Unsure why things don't work, but I was able to give rep to H-J-P. It says I can't give it to you again. You have a whole new account and not a renamed original.

Where to start if I want a 3 monitor setup?
JG14_Smil replied to artmustel's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I run three HDTVs from my Gfx card and one 27" monitor for my gauges from the on-board display adapter. You may or may not need an adapter, depending on the card you choose. I've recently done testing with O/C'ing my gfx card and my FPS are going through the roof. I could not be happier. 4080x1920 (DCS) 6000x1920 Windows. Actually saw triple digit FPS while in a full AO server today (near water). Best of luck with your setup! -
Controls indicator - possible to move it?
JG14_Smil replied to epoch's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
No, I found my old file and this line changes the position. base.init_pos = {4.24,-(-.65- 1.5*size)} This is the default line: base.init_pos = {0,-(1 - 1.5*size_x)} The line I edited moves my indicator onto my fourth monitor, so you may not see it if you use those numbers. The "size_x" is from the latest DCS files. Mine if from an old BS install, so no "_x" -
Controls indicator - possible to move it?
JG14_Smil replied to epoch's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I've got it backed up somewhere... I'll have a look. It is in these lines... I remember that much. base.controllers = {{"show"},{"screenspace_position",2,-(aspect - 2*size_x),0}, {"screenspace_position",1,0,0}} -
It works. You may be trying from an old post. Try his latest post. It worked for me.

Great story Boris. I live two hours away from a company that imports the L-39s for sale. I've been wondering if I can get a flight there. In 1998 I attended a Warbirds convention in Houston. I was very lucky at that time and I am told I won a free hour in a 737 simulator, but I missed the opening night and arrived too late to claim it. A friend and fellow squad member "JG14_Drex" won it instead in a drawing. Next morning I attend a group tour at the Confederate Air Force in Galveston. Two people that won B-17 rides did not attend (lot of alcohol at a Warbirds Convention) and I ended up winning a ride in the B-17 "Thunderbird". It was friggin awesome! I get back to the Hotel and eat lunch at the bar. I am just glowing from my ride and sharing my story. At the end of the bar I see a guy sitting... the more I talk, the more his shoulders droop. Turns out I won his ride. We still talk to this day and I consider him a friend, JG14_Cstc. Oh, I sat in a B-25 once. I'm looking at the photo of it right now. I've been blessed.

Old post, but if anyone else has trouble like KIVI2015, you must set monitor numbers when using the reset monitors. Windows monitor X = Helios monitor X, etc. 1 ,2 3 ,4 does not always equal 1,2,3,4. Fakum, Helios adds some code to the export file it sets up. It edits the old location of this file, located in the game build folders. Let Helios do that, then manually copy that file into a saved games\dcs\scrpits folder. You may have to create the scripts folder there. From then on, just move this export file to any DCS and it will work with Helios. Helios is great, but Ikarus out-performs it in many ways.

I was able to create working brake pressure gauges for the L-39. I created new Instrument records using the L39 volt/amp and fuel gauges. I used DCS exports 98, 99, 100 with output 0,60. They match the DCS gauges performance perfectly. All you would have to do is update the artwork for these gauges and rename them for the L-39 for a future release. I found I could also create the main/aux hydro gauge from the L39_voltampere gauge using exports 198 and 200 0,200.

Hello Sgt Coyle. Monitor setup lua is just for viewports from DCS. Ikarus is not affected by that. In Ikarus, Main Panel Pos X and Pos Y will make your Ikarus gauges go where you need them. Change the numbers, transmit, then close and show gauges.

Oh, no problem. :) I just discovered another item in the L-39 profile. For the barometric altimeter, the class "L39_Alt20" uses an improper QNF scale and will not display the correct value. Using the class of "WPALT20" for this gauge will make it work correctly with the sim. Note this is for using metric units with the Ikarus profile, not the default knots/feet.

What is still broken/missing on the L-39
JG14_Smil replied to GeorgeLKMT's topic in Bugs and Problems
I have found a bug regarding F10 map, online vs. offline, and I was wondering if it was just me or what... The "TP" and "PR" NDBs (near Min Vody) are both listed as "1.2 Mhz" when flying online. Offline, I see they are listed with their proper kHz frequencies, and can thus be used as navigation aids. I see this on separate servers, so it appears to be a global thing for me. Anyone else? -
How to map on off function to just one button?
JG14_Smil replied to Wolf8312's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs
"should" is a coercive word. Here you go, start learning... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=89226 Best of luck! -
HUD is indicated airspeed and needs ram air to work. Shkval is calculated airspeed.

Online DCS already looks like a Pride Parade with all the smoke use. It helps to cause lag. When used properly it is a cool feature. Otherwise, I consider it troll behavior that ruins other people DCS experience. Just my opinion, hope you get what you want.

Feedback regarding use of the new displays. I am testing the latest L-39C.ikarus file and the new "Instrument" examples (which don't work correctly). The example has a "Name" of "R_832M Channel" and "Class" of "Display7Segment". For "Instrumentfunctions", ID:18 , ID Fct: 1, Name: R_832M Channel, DCS ID 2001*, ASCI V, Input: EFEFEF, Output: 2. This did not work and produces "0." on the display, which is a counter and not a 7 segment display type. I edited the 2001 (and forgot the original value!) to 189 to try a test with the RSBN Navigation channel. This produced "0." on the display and did not seem to work. I edit output value to "3" in Instrumentfunctions. This produced "0.0" on the display and did not seem to work. I edited value to 4. This produced "0.00 and counter now works, however DCS RSBN counter starts at "01", hence: 01=0.00 02=0.01 03=0.02 etc. Variable is one number off as this counter needs to start at "01" and not "00". How is format changed? Decimal point is not needed here, but will be needed in other variables.

Found it. Todays release has an extra folder or two. Once I matched up the file and folders I was able to get 1.5 working. Can begin testing new features.

Something is not right with the export scripts. I have 2.0 working with old "DCS-ExportScript" folder and it contains a "Config.lua". I placed todays version in my 1.5 build and I now have a "DCS-ExportScripts-master" that does not contain a "Config.lua". Ikarus works in 2.0, but not 1.5. I've been through Ikarus version changes before and know how to get it running but no joy. Looking into the log feature soon.

How is it Going with Windows 10?
JG14_Smil replied to DieHard's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
System runs fine with Win10. There are many small things from old Windows that I miss. -
First post in this link https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3091573#post3091573 Just place the four files into your \dcs world\bin folder. Get rid of the old ones.

Hi Dogman, Your aircraft is out of fuel. You can have the ground crew add fuel, but your altitude and airspeed may not work. The binary fix will take care of your problem until they correct the 2.05 build. I'll get the link for you...

Top of mainpanel_init has mirror lines to edit. Not sure what it'll do. Good luck! ...\mods\aircraft\your aircraft\cockpit folder

What is still broken/missing on the L-39
JG14_Smil replied to GeorgeLKMT's topic in Bugs and Problems
Regarding the rear canopy falling off after using auto stop/auto start routines. I think this was an undocumented fix in 2.0.5.3140 or earlier as it no longer happens in this latest version. I note that 1.5.6.1930 still has this bug. Note that the macro_sequences.lua files are interchangeable and placing it into the C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\L-39C\Cockpit folder will cure the bug in the 1.5 build.
