  1. I am enjoying RSBN navigation. I note that I do not see any movement from the ADI bank angle pointer in any modes. ADI glideslope pointer works as it should in all modes for me. Is the bank angle pointer bugged?
  2. Hello, Please try deleting all old multiplayer trk files.
  3. With this update messing up so many aircraft, I think a fix will come along before too long. I'm going to fly 1.5 and the C-101 in the NTTR until then.
  4. I agree. Only downside to the L-39 module is the limited radio navigation.
  5. I'm a bit OT here, but I'm planning my next moves... I note that when I install a new DCS item, setup takes files from another working DCS load (1.5, 2.0 installs). I guess it does this to minimize the files that need to be downloaded in the torrent. My guess is, if I have an odd issue in my original install, it can migrate to a new install. So, to do a clean install, I'm thinking I have to remove all versions and start over. To go through that and not find a fix would be bad (I know as it has happened in the past), so I'm thinking maybe I'll wipe my system and start over. There are times when this is the only fix. I've seen it more than once. The plot thickens... Please visit this thread and let ED know you have the issue.. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=184053
  6. :) At least I'm not alone. Have reported the issue.
  7. Not sure. I have seen another person flying the L-39 so I know I am bugged on my side. Any L-39 I enter is pointing north and will not start. I try the instant take off mission and the plane is facing north and shuts off. I'm going to do a complete re-install of DCS very soon. Lot of weird things lately.
  8. L-39 wont work either after the latest 2.0 update. You aren't alone.
  9. Is anyone having trouble with the L-39 after the latest 2.0 update? I can no longer fly.
  10. I hit Tab once to turn it on, once more to turn it off.
  11. I remember a book called "So You Want To Be a Pilot". With that and FS, I literally kicked butt in ground school. I pre-flew every one of my flights on FS98 and even made a replica Cessna 172 cockpit. Good luck and enjoy.
  12. Hello. man, that sucks. Is there anything in the log file that might give an idea? Maybe post it for someone to see. Look in the saved games folders. Any chance you are using a 'Monster' gaming network card? Don't use game mode if so (long shot, but it is all I got).
  13. Thanks so much for this Ramsey, That safety card was interesting, showing the manual seat separation lever. I was going to use that as a seat height adjustment, but I won't do that now. Any idea of levers to left side of seat would control the seat height servo?
  14. Thanks for the great answers! I know about the over-speed structural damage issue, but I've had my flaps go back to flight position while I was still in slow flight. That can be a handful when that slow. I may be getting a shorted button press to cause it (in my cockpit). It keeps me on my toes! Excellent info on the throttle. Looks like there might be a friction control lever, when looking at the DCS throttle. On the Ebay throttle, does the red knob handle control friction? I thought maybe it would have a damper to help with the laggy operation. Does not look hard to build this. Yes, those are what I refer to on the ejection handles. Sort of like Colt .45 palm safeties. I'll build them that way. Thanks so much Ramsey. {backs away from the Ebay listings... that is one slippery slope there!} :)
  15. Hello, enjoy the 39. The C model can dismount gun sight for a clean view. ZA will only dismount the bracket around the gun sight. If you hide your joystick, it will work in the C but not the ZA. I like to use the seat height servo control to see over the gun sight when landing in the ZA.
  16. Should be a way to treat the axis as a slider, no? That should stop the half-axis travel issue.
  17. Hello, I have a theory on this: The person that created the mission did not use Tool Tips and they also have "Use these settings in all missions" checked. In another example, if a mission creator does not dismount a gun sight and uses the second option I listed, I am stuck with a gun sight, even though I dismount mine on my system. (refers to free flight servers and the L-39). My theory is: servers should not use the "use these settings in all missions" option.
  18. Hello, I'd like to learn more about the actual L-39 for my cockpit construction. I was hoping I could post some questions here. Thanks in advance for any answers and anyone is welcome to ask if they need. Regarding over-speed of landing flaps. In DCS, when the flaps auto retract from the landing position, they retract to 'flaps in'. I find this dangerous and I was wondering if the flaps would retract to the take off position instead in real life? Does the L-39 throttle have a damper installed to slow operation? On the ejection handles, I see what appears to be fail-safe paddles on each one(?). I'm guessing to make sure hands are in position for pulling each one properly. I can model this if it is in the actual L-39. that's all for now... thanks for any help.
  19. So, the Arcaze controller can run external LEDs? That is very good news for me!
  20. Hello and thanks for your efforts, Micha. Have attached my Ikarus L-39 profiles in the zip file with a readme. I use a custom export file as I have to paste in old code for my tactile feedback seat. Unsure of what else I use... I just start DCS and Ikarus works. ;) Please note: I use a multi monitor setup. Ikarus panel position may have to be reset to match your configuration. Best Wishes,
  21. O/C'ing my gfx card really helped on my system. Truly helped my four year old i7-3770K and Titan. 2.0 is wonderful. 1.5.6. is not.
  22. Hello, I have a bug report for the following: Ikarus Instrument "L39_ACC" - The maximum negative G pointer should react from the 'left' side of the accelerometer needle. It does not, and seems to react from the 'tail end' of the pointer needle. When you zero the meter, max negative G is at "5" and not "0". The maximum positive G needle reacts from the right side of the pointer and works as it should. Ikarus Instrument "L39_HSI" has either no working animations or functions for the white "SDU T and K flags" Instrument functions. Ikarus Instrument "L39_ASI_kts" Mach meter works, but only at a fraction of what it should be reading. It almost acts as if the DCS "MACH" export "51" does not convert properly from metric units. A DCS and not an Ikarus bug(?). Ikarus Instrument "L39_HSI" commanded course pointer pivot point will go off center when in use in DCS. I've learned how to rebuild non-working instrument functions in Ikarus and I've worked out all bugs from the L39C module, except for the ones listed here, which need to be fixed at the developer level. If anyone would like my updated L-39 profile, just let me know. Thanks very much for all you do.
  23. Hello Habu, Lot more info on this in the input/output section of the site. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=89226
  24. I literally get as much satisfaction from flying the DCS L-39 as I did when flying in real life. I just love it.
  25. Found this interesting slideshow. http://www.slideshare.net/barendbezuidenhout/final-project-l39-c-bigfoot-ver-e
