I have them as part of the set with the throttle and joystick. I can`t say I have any issues with them, both the rudder action and brake action work fine. I have mine connected to the throttle which is in turn connected via usb to the pc. Are you using an adapter, maybe reinstall your drivers.

Mudspike Preview (contains lots of screens and a few videos)
Zoomer replied to Strikeeagle345's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Heatblur definitely have set the bar for DCS modules with the F-14. Something that will benefit all DCS users going forward. So much for the naysayers wailing from the sidelines about release dates. -
So we tell them they are right, even though we know they are wrong, in an attempt to rid ourselves of their nonsense and rub some soothing balm on their over entitled and needy egos. That`s some grade A bullsh1t thinking right there.

Definitely a buy on release. Very interesting addition to the battlespace. http://ov-10bronco.net/faq.cfm

VR user, running an RTX 2080. Can confirm it`s still an issue on exiting the F10 map, every time.

Why, did it strike a nerve causing you to feel it`s tenor was applicable to you. Take it as one of life`s lessons.

I didn`t mention the devs, it`s a general life observation that is true across a broad spectrum of life`s travails. Your rush to judgement speaks more about yourself than others.

Some people seem to be of the belief that whinging about something actually contributes to it`s completion and makes delivery faster. I blame their mothers.

I voted NO. I already fully support DCS. I have every module as is, bar the new Christen Eagle. That`s more money than I`ve spent on any other sim/game, and bought directly from the DCS store. I would qualify that as considerable financial support, which I intend to continue as long as DCS continue to produce quality products such as the F/A-18 et al.

Thanks for that, they look pretty similar. Short of breaking out the measuring tape, it looks more or less the same. Soviet builds always had a certain amount of "leeway" in their manufacturing process. Something similar below. https://www.klassiker-der-luftfahrt.de/geschichte/flugzeuge/mig-19-bei-der-nva/647480?skip=4#5-647490

Thanks, great news for us VR users. I really like the Mirage, but the cockpit is difficult to utilize with the current textures. The Harrier is more manageable cockpit wise in VR. I will definitely purchase the 2000-5 on completion, plus the F-15 & MiG-23. Again thanks for your efforts.

With Pimax I have my reservations, but each to their own. It`s a lot of money for the Pimax for what looks like a seat of the pants operation. Personally I would rather deal with a company where I have the guarantee of a proper replacement in the case of a dud, and where the build quality and software capabilities would be to a higher standard. Hence I`ll wait for gen 2, those that wish to take the gamble with their money will do so. My instinct at the minute tells me to stay clear of them.

[Official] SimShaker for Aviators
Zoomer replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
From the man above your comment, https://andres.shop/. -
How long are people going to spend in the tutorials to get so upset about the voice acting. The video is less than 13 mins long. Most people will run through it, pick up the info from it and move on to fly the aircraft themselves to become more proficient. Who really gives a fiddlers about how authentic the accent is. I would be more concerned in relation to the flight model and the fidelity of the aircraft. There is no pleasing some people.

It`s critical mass. VR is new tech, and as adoption grows so will the tech and the software around it. Slower than we`d like, but I`ll take what we have over a monitor any day.
-
I`m sure everyone will get distracted with the Soon™ to be released MiG-19 for a while, until the Tomcat is on deck.
-
Yes, the good old Sinclair spectrum 48k, I still have it and played that sim I`m sure. To think what a good gaming pc can do today is really amazing. Every time I fly in VR it`s still a wonder of technology. Even with these first gen hmd`s the experience of immersion is a point of no return.
-
Maybe, but the same tech will be needed in the standalone units even to a greater extent, to maximise the fidelity with the more limited hardware provided. One is not exclusive to the other.
-
I`ve read about issues in relation to backers still not having their hmd`s etc. and a lot of promises unfulfilled. I just would not trust them myself and will wait for the new CV2 or main players to release the next gen products. As the saying goes “act in haste, repent at leisure”. In the end it`s up to people`s own choice whether to risk it or not. Edit- Those picks from the SO+ look quiet good, I was very close to buying one during the Black Friday reduction.

Zero effect on anyone used to VR, if you can tolerate dogfighting in VR or have used VR for a period of time, you have built up a tolerance to such motion sickness. New VR users may find it wheezy, but like the rest of us they just have to build up that tolerance. Personally I never have an issue regardless of the maneuvers or acrobatics. I found walking around with Onward harder on the stomach, but it`s not really an issue at this stage.
-
Oh boy, the best laid plans of mice and men etc., etc.
-
Ah we managed it before the change and knocked out the first two MiG 21`s on approach in the process. Of course I ran out of fuel at the end and for the next one just added the Stennis as a 5th waypoint to land. Still, keep them coming. Edit- The AI F-14`s are pretty useless on CAP, they were still fully loaded at missions end.
-
That`s interesting as MSAA is needed due to that shimmering I find on the terrain, cockpit etc. I run MSAAx4 all the time and it`s an fps killer. Of course I also use the shader mod. I wonder have you used the mod on the F-14, and if so, to what effect.
-
VR is the future of DCS and simming in general. It`s very positive that HB have come to the same conclusion. Here`s hoping the next gen units hit in 2019, and hopefully DLSS & VRS for us RTX owners.

I appreciate the language barrier. In fairness to you, you are doing quiet well if English is not your first language, in conversing in same. Regarding the long stick, yes it`s better for finer adjustment, especially for targeting etc. But if the initial poster is talking about smooth steady flight etc. then the aircraft just needs trimming. Once trimmed correctly for level flight, very little stick input is required.
