  1. There is an obvious issue where smaller monitors cant "see" the ball. As long as the overlay can be switched off i don't see the problem. Not everyone can dedicate a whole PC playing one game nor do the majority fly virtually.
  2. They were free so no complaints, just thanks, but yes deleting them was not the most user friendly experience. I have 2 screens so put what paid modules i have on one of them and deleted the leftovers through module manager on the other. A delete button on the little screen that warns you the module will not be activated would have been nice but hey ho such is life. The game restarting each time you delete a module is a serious arggghhh moment. is there a way you can do them all at once?
  3. Wipe out, full throttle then press "U" is the way i go.
  4. The user files section for me is crawling again, 8 meg download just took 11 minutes. The site itself is also slow to load. Its not my connection, 100 Mbps coming down rock solid at 97Mbps as it always is.
  5. What did they do? I have always had slow download speeds from the files section, now it is like they turbo charged it lol. Great work!!
  6. Not just me then. Broken here in Oz. 404 error in both Chrome and Edge. Bit surprised no official comment yet, was broken last night as well.
  7. I agree, this thread needs to stay, talk about trying to out chav each other over a module for a game. The hand wringing and poor me posts are hilarious. I hate to think what some of you are like if something actually bad happens to you. Before anyone tells me off for not agreeing, I think you have been very bad ED and you should go stand in the naughty corner for not providing a play by play commentary.
  8. I normally just watch from the side and do not say a lot. It was a delay that could have been handled better in your opinion. "You don't matter" is your own interpretation of events. For the rest of us they delayed and gave reasons, Wags posting when he was going to have his next shit would not satisfy you.
  9. They are not violating anything. Their latest early access module is delayed and they have explained why. I don't like it anymore than anyone else, but their own Terms of Service clearly cover the subject. If you can persuade a local Judge to agree that the terms and services are wrong, and your own local laws out trump them then good luck to you. They may well agree with you for a fee, but that is it, they can agree the terms are in your opinion wrong, but they can do jack squiddly about it.
  10. Sadly for you, like ED i come with Terms and Conditions, that again like those of ED work in my favour. ED's are linked on the front page of the website if you cant find them. They can delay and cancel at their will and you agreed to them doing so.
  11. They are not legitimate questions unless you happen to work for ED or have a seat on the board that has an input on a possible release date. You have your information from ED, move on and await the module, it is not that difficult. I am not defending or insulting anyone, but thank you for pointing out I do not have to agree with someone else's opinion, but i have to see it from their point of view, similar to the way you replied to me, not. The module is delayed, 20 pantie twisting moaners on a internet forum will not change that, live with it.
  12. Why are folk moaning about the lack of PR from ED? You moan, then get your panties in a twist when they announce something you do not want to hear. Some of you also seem to be software developers, as well as astute businessmen, as you try to persuade ED to publish a clearly unready product. One can only imagine the weeping, wailing and pantie twisting should they dare to do that. Ever thought that whats going on in the world at the moment may have an effect on ED like it has on many others?
  13. If your suggesting when you land they are going to marshal you to a parking spot, then i will be seriously impressed. I am already impressed by the latest Wags video but that would be awesome.
  14. No change here after the latest update. Since the introduction of the "little" DCS loading screen, it sits, and according to my monitoring software does very little for a good 30 seconds. Then it goes full screen and gets the show on the road. It is better than it was, but since the introduction of the little DCS loading screen, loading times are definitely longer, once your in its ok but i hate that pesky screen.
  15. You seriously think they would announce a delay in the release date for everyone but the people who purchased it on Steam? I am no Rocket Scientist, but I will take a wild uninformed guess and say that Steam users will get it the same time as it is released to everyone else. You have had the information you require, the module is delayed, go talk to Steam about getting their Website updated because i highly doubt anyone from ED can assist. They are probably removing messages because of the stupidity of the question and not because they do not like it.
  16. Chill out people, your buying a module for a game at the end of the day. Their is a lot worse than it arriving late happening in the world at the moment, and the situation is only going to get worse. Reality check time, enough said. Thanks for the update Wags.
  17. There has been research for a while now looking into replacing the Ouija Boards with an electronic device, but they can't get one to work as yet. The 2 new UK Carriers are packed with modern technology but they were both issued with the good old ouija board.
  18. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I changed my pagefile size as per your reply to another post i read and that appears to have solved the crashing problem, the loading times, and my fans are thankfully once again on a rest period most of the time. Many thanks for your help, Mrs Jaguar was threatening to ban my late night DCS flying because of the noise so i am most grateful.:thumbup::thumbup:
  19. Kind of the same problem since the Open Beta 2.5.6 update. Small DCS logo Box (Never seen that before) then a lengthy wait before the full screen logo appears followed by another lengthy wait before the loading screen appears. It does it's thing (after another lengthy wait) and the game then loads. If i so much try and move the mouse to my second screen or touch anything, DCS either hangs and then asks me if i want to wait, if i do , it does eventually load but its quicker to restart it, or it pops up the DCS logo black screen and everything loads behind it. I have a pretty good PC and was able to run DCS with no issues before the 2.5.6 update. As well as the above issues, my PC is now being worked hard by DCS, the cooling fans are getting a workout even on the menu screens!!
  20. DCS Openbeta 2.5.6.43872 + Update I appear to be leaking memory faster than an F-18 on drugs since i installed the above update plus the mini hotfix update that shortly followed it. Loading times for anything now take forever and you so much as knock the mouse when loading something in DCS the game instantly pulls up an application error message, it eventually will fix itself and load but only after an extended wait. I have tried a cleanup and repair with no joy. The problem if anything is getting worse. The game is now making my PC work hard and the cooling fans are constantly on at about mid range even in the menu screens. That never used to happen. Am i alone with this issue or is this a known problem please? If a reinstall will sort it, happy to do it, but the fan noise is driving me batshit crazy
  21. Wrong Forum
  22. Not doubting for a moment what you say but i am obviously doing something wrong (nothing new there then) Any AI aircraft i have seen head for the elevator, get on it, lift does what a lift does, they then hop off, head for the hanger and then reappear on the deck and either hit anything in the way or block the landing area. I also was not aware a "real" player could do it, though i am sure i read somewhere else you can. I reckon it would be a cool animation to see but for real the deck crew and not the Aircrew do all that, so i guess you would have to look at modeling tugs etc on the lift. A feature I would like to see, yes, but only after the flying side, the ATC etc is all working correctly.
  23. I think some are missing what the major factor of success and failure for this module will be and for me that is the animated deck crew, a deck you do not slide around on, ATC that works and a boat that is actually lit up at night. Arguing about the price point is ridiculous unless your actually on the board of ED and know why it is being sold at the price it is.
  24. Hi Folks just replaced my old Logitech stick with a Thrustmaster 1600m and for the life of me i cant get DCS to understand i have a new joystick. DCS "sees" the stick and allows me to assign an axis but every axis i assign is just moving sideways when i go to tune it, including the slider. The stick is fine in Windows 10 and other games so i do not think the stick is at fault. Dumb question but where do i head to convince DCS i have a new stick please because i assume it is still loading the old Logitech settings. Thank you for any help.
  25. I may be slowing in my old age but i don't "get" steam. Bloatware to me because i fail to see the benefits of it. All i see is another log in screen and a needless program running in the background. This is not the first time I have heard of Steam users missing out on Developers deals because Steam wont allow it.
