  1. Shader mal gelöscht? Alle bitte, auch für die Szenarien!
  2. You know, I find people who are complaining about a (at least in its basics) free product most annoying. What I find equally annoying are these "praise the developers, blame the complaining people and whatnot" whining posts. Neither are necessary, neither deliver any additional value and neither are interesting for anyone.
  3. works like a charm with the Samsung Odyssey, HP Reverb and Rift S.
  4. Well, the SFX-100 of course is very limited in its motion regarding a 360° simulation. But that actually isn't the point. Together with VR the brain is very efficiently fooled since what it sees fits what the body feels. So the actual motion from the SFX-100 is kind of amplified in the brain and all motion feels much more real than one would expect before. Saying that, without VR I'd say DCS and SFX-100 is pointless. That's quite different for Sim Racing because the four actuators ARE able to almost completely simulate the motion of a car.
  5. you can't buy it, you need to build it. See https://opensfx.com/ SFX-100 basically is nothing but four actuators. Your rig probably can be reused (if already existing) or you also need to build one. However, the actuators are very powerful so the rig needs to be quite sturdy, otherwise you'll end up with some confetti spread in your room
  6. I'm using it for almost a year now. Although originally built for Sim Racing, DCS is SO much fun in that thing. Sure, motion is limited. But I can't live without out it anymore. Together with VR the brain is so successfully fooled by the motion, it's wonderful. Flying a helicopter, you can feel when a sling load leaves or touches the ground. Or when it swings while flying. On planes you feel when the wheels touch the ground - or leave it. Approaching stall and all movements are amazing. If you use the right settings you can set up the rig for feeling speed and all that stuff. btw, I've made most of the available DCS SFX-100 profiles.
  7. I still never got any invoice (#267). Is there any general problem or is it only me?
  8. seems I'm a guy with superpowers I had no idea I have - for me it took some two hours to get over that strange VR feeling and it never came back
  9. I'm always laughing about this kind of "discussion". For the forth decade now  Yes, flight sims don't reflect 100% reality. Which is very good because dying in an aircraft crash isn't so funny - I hear people saying so at least. Who cares if the simulation of whichever aircraft in DCS isn't "realistic"? Almost no user of DCS will ever be able to compare the sim with the real thing and even if so - would it make any difference?
  10. if you need to buy some - there is a great solution using a Koss Porta Pro with the Rift S. Requires a 3D printer to make the mounts, though. I'm using that solution with the Rift S, best audio I've had so far in VR. And very comfy to wear!
  11. Now if that isn't a good start of 2020 :pilotfly:
  12. you either didn't read what I wrote or you didn't understand it.
  13. uhm, okay. And what exactly do you want to tell us? The need for decent audio makes the Rift S more expensive and hence the distance in price to the Reverb smaller. I own both a Rift S and a Reverb and for DCS the Reverb just is the much better solution. Generally for anything where readibility (resolution) is important the Reverb is the right choice. Saying that, for anything else but that the Rift S is the better device.
  14. If you want to use it for DCS (i.e. for that purpose only) no, get a Reverb instead. The Rift S is a great device but for DCS it's not the best available option. If you're looking for a VR headset to have fun and play other games, go for it. Keep in mind that you most likely need some extra cash for a usable audio solution. Stock Rift S audio is.....well, not worth saying.
  15. Nothing changed regarding enabling motion repro. If you want to have some visible feedback inside DCS, just enable the indicator: "motionReprojectionIndicatorEnabled" : true This shows four small squares near the top left corner (default) and gives feedback that motion repro is active and if so whether it's CPU or GPU related.
  16. it obviously depends on the situation, but the majority of time it is between 15-17ms.
  17. It's nothing but a tradeoff today. Immersion vs. GFX quality. For ME - I don't even have to think about it. VR all the way, can't go back, won't go back. Together with my motion rig immersion is on a level I dreamed of 40y ago (any Atari 2600 veterans here?) I even had to quit my beloved P3D, VR sucks there big time. I can get decent quality out of my system. Sure, much to improve, but it'll come. Till then......let's go flying :pilotfly:
  18. Folks, I'd like to hear a few opinions. I've spent quite some time today playing around with settings. I don't see much of a difference, though. It's not that I'm unhappy with the experience, but maybe there are a few more fps to be found... What I usually get (with motionrepro set to motionvector and 90Hz) is a more or less solid 45fps, can drop a bit lower and sometime drops to mid 30's. Screenshot of my settings see below, SteamVR is set to 110% (that is SteamVR beta, i.e. the resolution @110% is a little bit higher than the Reverb native resolution). My hardware is quite decent, the 2080ti is overclocked. However, looking at fpsVR the frame times of the GPU are higher than the CPU times, I take this as "GPU can't cope". Running at 60Hz seems to be pointless, this results in 30fps, something I can't stand. MSAA and AF I want to keep, I don't like the looks without them. Same for shadows. Any hints based on my setup?
  19. well, there is no strong definition of "ASAP" :music_whistling: But when it comes to fixing bugs on DCS modules one generally has to show a lot of patience....
  20. I see, thanks!
  21. Folks, I'm confused now. Got me the Viggen yesterday and wanted to buy the campaign, too. Now I just learned that it will come free with the Viggen, but I don't have it. I only see two campaigns. The Mjolnir Response and The Wrath Of Thunder. No Red Flag. What am I doing wrong?
  22. Ah okay, thanks. I hope they will announce that somewhere :)
  23. when I click on "buy" I get: Error getting the price for "AJS-37 Viggen: 16-2 Red Flag Campaign" Any hints?
  25. that should work: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=202898
