  1. because that person has paid the same amount of money for the module anyone else did?
  2. taxi light works but veeeeeery faint on the ground. I also think the instrument and panel lights are very dark now.
  3. I agree the cockpit and instrument lighting isn't back to what it was. I also still have that blue tinted glasses, although it is much less now. Strange...
  4. was ist denn eine "gewisse Zeit"?
  5. and also not by today's hotfix. Not such a hot fix for Viggen pilots....
  6. no and it has been reported a hundred times already ED just don't care, as always. Fixing the KA-50 cockpit ligths issue took them years, lets see how long this stuff will be broken (unless Heatblur can fix it)
  7. Another useless thread raised by some dude who thinks he's smarter than anyone else. Okay, entertaining.....but useless.
  8. many people surely would appreciate a different approach. An update with bug fixes (inlcuding those ignored for months and years), then an update with new stuff. Or alternating in another order, whatever might be useful. Currently there are two different expections - some want new stuff (especially with the newer modules), some want to use the stuff they already own and can't properly use. Of course newly released modules earn money for ED, so it's totally alright if they put some focus on that. But on the other hand users like me who pretty much joined the party on "day one" are getting more and more disappointed. I have stopped buying new modules some time ago because there always are issues killing the fun. But whichever way it is, IMO bugs just introduced with some OB patch - like the lighting making (not only) the Viggen useless - certainly should be fixed with the highest priority. Remember the cockpit lights issue with the KA-50, how long did it take to get a fix? 50 years or so?
  9. yeah, now I can load DCS much faster just to run into all the bugs. If THAT isn't an improvement  C'mon ED, PLEASE listen to what people suffer from. At least once. The horrible bug (or is it a feature?) with the cockpit lights needs a fix. Everybody expected it to come today. But nooooo.... The Viggen as an example is unusable now. And for that module I DID pay money so I demand it works. Oh, and for the fanboys - please stay away with the usual "it's beta" rubbish. With a game like DCS (being in "early release" state always and forever) you don't have a choice but using the OB.

    Sound Funk

  11. old story, just do a seach here in the forums
  12. I can confirm DCS "comes back" after some time, but then my Hotas is not working any longer. Only the rudder pedals can be used to control the aircraft. @Toxic I only had the issue with switching to BER. Turning off the battery didn't crash DCS so far.
  13. I want: Free as it is now for everyone. Helps to build and keep a user base, including the occasional players. ONE TIME payment for additional content of whatever kind. Subscription and I'd say goodbye. As a working man there are times I can't spend time with DCS (can be weeks) and no way that I have to pay regardless.
  15. Clear? In VR?
  17. Absolutely never  Taking into account how long the development of the (actually quite tiny) maps took - just interpolate and you'll see we'd talk about decades.
  19. I'm already at "high". What I did as a workaround is using "VR Spyglass" to peek at the radio. With the excessive zoom it is at least readable, with some effort.
  20. Folks, I'm almost unable to read the channel select by the rotary knobs in VR (HP Reverb). Is there some hack to make the numbers white or at least brighter?
  21. or maybe not. That generally is the most annoying part of DCS and especially DCS modules - "old stuff will get fixed after the release of new stuff". In other words, "give us your money again and maybe we will deliver what you've already paid for". But I shouldn't complain, I'm stupid enough to accept and support that kind of business model for many years and I didn't learn ever since...
  22. Eventually I've figured it out: For a long time I've used a Thrustmaster TARGET profile where the Joystick first stage trigger arms and the second stage actually fires the gun. It always worked. It does no more, for whatever reason. Either I press and hold the 1st stage, wait for a short time and then the 2nd stage or I need to remove the 1st stage and arm the gun manually. I'm using the second method now because in the heat of dogfight you don't want to be gentle with a two stage trigger.
  23. right, I should have mentioned that - not a hardware issue, it only happens with the Mig-21
  24. Folks, I'm not placing this in the bugs and problems thread bcs. I'm not sure if I just have forgotten something  After some time I've pulled the Mig-21 out of the hangar and did some helicopter hunting in a training mission I once made. My issue is that the gun behaves odd, sometime it works, sometimes it does not. Sometime there is a trigger delay of a second or so. And sometimes it just works. No pattern I would recognize, though. Is this a 2.5.6 quirk or have I forgotten something to enable/disable/set?
  25. Given the size of the available theatres, I don't see the point in large aircraft. They implicitly are for long distance operations. Although I've spent decades with MSFS and P3D (I only stopped for the time being due to the lack of VR support there) and despite the fact I absolutely enjoy operating an Airbus or a 747, I really dont see any use for such kind of flying in DCS. What exactly would be the funny part in flying an Antonov 124 from Batumi to Mozdok? I guess they wouldn't even retract the gear for such a hop
