In other news, at 1.16mach @40,000ft I looked up a Mig in TWS and fired a 120c @50nm way and got a hit!! When did they change up the 120c range poor Mig didn't even get a shot off 120c hit home and he was still 18nm away from me

So I think I might have found a bug I've made a mission where start time is 1815 Zulu I take off from the carrier conduct a fighter sweep shoot down a MIG on my way back I then call up the carrier who instruct me for a case 1, get to the carrier start to conduct the case one however halfway through this no longer get the Charlie call from paddles therefore I needed to cancel my case 1 recovery and and try for a case 3 however on case 3 when radio and platform I no longer hear from paddles I can ducted the case 3 anyway landed trapped however did not get a grading from the lso due to improper Comms

Yes I'm having a hole lot of trouble getting a OK.. landing most of my traps are C or _-_ but no OK's

Ok well my wing man is now sick of swimming and is now flying up wing more after I break and he lands about 20-30secs after me, I hit kiss off right before 1 break at 1.0nm on the up wind

When do you tell flight to kiss off, I've been doing it, on the up wind as I fly over boat but my wing man keeps diving into the sea?

I'm getting wave off if I'm too high, but thats how I land... I used to get 2 wire every time now I'm getting to high and fast 4 wire

So last night flying on a PVP server I was ground pounding and only had fuel for the run in strike and the flight home.. I was bumped buy a Su33 I had 2x120c on the belly so I could defend myself but... tried to select zone 5 and disengaged.. however the Su33 really wanted that fight and must of gone full burner to stay in the fight, after he got on my 6 and within 20nm... (SA page) I was left with no option but to dive for the deck find a Mt to break his lock.. AARQ mode fire at 10nm stayed hot nose on with a F pole and splashed him... now I was in a spot of trouble.. after climbing back to 20k I had 1000ib fuel left and my base at 60nm.. this is when the title comes into play.. I shut down my L engine and glided most of the way home... landed with 30ib of fuel left.... if you have not tried landing the hornet with one engine I strongly recommend giving it a go... this plane has such a great Flight model and it Really is fun.. give it a go.

Lol I know right, i pride myself on my carrier landing, and can't wait for the new carrier mod with it's grades but landing in this Thunder storm is bloody hard.. Im going to test the F14 with it's ACLS and see it can land it.... If not I give up :joystick:

Yes well with the heavy Thunderstorm I think the wind is 32kts, hints as to why it's so hard.. Oh and you can't see the Carrier till your on it lol

Yer I could do that no problem, there's no wind try it with heavy Thunderstorm winds.. impossible!!!

Hey guys I've been training to land on the Carrier with a Case III in the Heavy Thunderstorm and it seems impossible? How do real navy guys land in such bad weather.. I'd just like to point out I can nail, I, II, III, with a 3 wire 80% of the time even with default heavy rain, but a thunderstorm is impossible even if I make the mission and have the Carrier heading into the wind..

How do you open the instant missions?

Dam it, I'm so looking forward to the Pod... but after reading the mini I say we are still a month off.. same goes for TWS... think I'm going to have to D/L the Mod for the F14 pilot control for pod to get my fix lol I also need to get my CASE III in stormy weather 100%.. not easy

Check your AOA is 8.1, your rate of descent is not over 750, kinder sounds as your high on the glide slop.. (maybe) I always use ALS to make sure I'm on and everything is ok, and finely make sure as you touch down you only go mil power not full burner.. Just some stuff to check, hope is helps

See what I have done is buy a 2nd module, aka F14B now I have two planes to fly and learn. I've found this makes the wait on stuff much Easier.. and flying the tomcat improves your F18C flying 10 fold.
