Jo, alles gut. Du bist einer der ersten die hier VR Ergebnisse der 4070 ti posten, wenn nicht sogar der erste. Allein schon deswegen ist alles interessant was du da machst. Also mach dir keinen Stress. Soll ja vor allem Spaß machen.

Jo, kann ich gut mit leben. Zum anzeigen der FPS/Frametimes kann man Tools nehmen wie Afterburner/Rivatuner. Sehr gut find ich das sehr billige fpsVR für SteamVR bei Steam. DCS World zeigt auch nen Frametime Graphen an mit Lctrl+Pause an, aber man sieht da nicht die Werte glaub ich (hab das nur eimal kurz getestet.)

A day may come when Microsoft kills Win10 with Direct Storage for NVME SSDs but this is not the day. I will stay with Win10 till 2025 because I haven't seen any big advantages for me and hope others are braver and sort things out at Win11 in the meantime.

Danke für die ganzen Infos. Ich bin echt sehr gespannt auf dein Urteil. Als Test empfiehlt sich eine Mission zu nehmen die schon drin ist, so dass die jeder hat, der das Flugzeug und die Map hat versteht sich. Am besten ne Freeflight oder was wo man am Boden startet. Die meisten davon haben nicht viel AI Flugzeuge so dass die CPU Last keine große Rolle spielt. Die GPU Frametimes oder zur Not auch die FPS am Boden und im Tiefflug wären interessant. Und falls du kein vorgefertigtes Einstellungsprofil nutzt wäre ein Screenshot deiner Einstellungen sehr nützlich. Ich danke schon mal herzlich für deine Mühe!

Ich habe im englischen Teil des Forums genau dieselbe Frage gestellt und auch noch keine Benchmarks zur 4070ti in DCS-VR gesehen. Der Speicherdurchsatz sollte allerdings wirklich nicht seeehr viel größer sein als bei deiner 6700XT, die Menge ist eh gleich. Klar wird die 4070ti eine Verbesserung sein. Die Frage ist nur ob sie den hohen Aufpreis wert ist. Allerdings hast du bei den Voraussetzungen die du gepostet hast auch keine Alternative übrig als die 4070ti. Ohne AMD und 4080/4090 bliebe dir nur noch warten auf bessere Preise wenn du nicht zufrieden sein würdest mit deinem Kauf. Ich wär dir sehr dankbar, wenn du hier über deine Erfahrungen mit der 4070ti in DCS-VR berichten würdest und wünsch dir (und mir), dass sie dann doch ausreicht.

Ich kann auch beide Seiten verstehen aber man sollte trotzdem festhalten, dass solche AGM's die eigentlich Bomben sind eine missverständliche Bezeichnung tragen. Sonst dürfte man ja auch zu ner Mk 82 Missile sagen weil sie auch abgeworfen wird. Und alles andere auch...

I try to put it easier: I take a module in trial and use it like those "5 modules" from above. So ED should take those away from me in 3 years without earning 1 single buck? Good luck. It's just a guess but I think the trial period is not for learning modules but for getting a feeling about them. The only reason ED gifts us with 14 days and not just 2 hours like Steam does imho is that a lot of modules that I hated the for the first 2 days I learned to love some days later. But don't get me wrong, I could easily live with it if ED followed your proposal.

I regret to be the rain on your parade, but If ED did that, I would have at least 5 modules still in trial period that I've bought years ago. I'm not asked but in my opinion what ED does is fair and more than any other company does in flight sims.

I guess it worked for Heatblur with the F-4 not to heat up the hype train. And probably the Typhoon is more a 2024/25 module. So I for one wasn't too surprised.

I should have added "compared to the 3080". I do agree in general and have only little to none hope that we could get close to good old times again.

That wouldn't be bad for the money and power consumption of the 4070 ti.

I'm sure the new RTX 4070 ti is good for DCS in 2D even at 4k. With this thread I want to ask people about their experiences with it in VR. Does it make sense or is the 4080 that much better to be worth that higher price tag?
