Multiplayer stats included in Logbook
Tom Kazansky replied to skywalker22's topic in DCS Core Wish List
That's a tricky path to go. I've turned my back on many PvP games that have sophisticated anti cheat systems however it seems those are very appealing to the most annoying kind of hackers that seem to say: here I am in spite of your efforts! I understand why ED hasn't gone this road yet. -
Multiplayer stats included in Logbook

Are you aware that the logbook is just an open editable file? Your idea would work if the servers held those logs and the clients didn't change their callsigns. -
How's the DCS ATC System coming along in Dev????
Tom Kazansky replied to Hawk_UK's topic in Chit-Chat
Agreed. But it almost scares me to imagine that this kind of dedication, passion and commitment should not be enough. I got your point though. -
New Computer time and I need help
Tom Kazansky replied to MarHar17's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
AMD's Zen 4 CPUs will be introduced in two days. nVidia's RTX 4090 is already produced and available in October. My advice if you want a rig that handles DCS "at the highest level": wait some weeks. -
How's the DCS ATC System coming along in Dev????
Tom Kazansky replied to Hawk_UK's topic in Chit-Chat
DCS is still very much alive because they have no competition at all.... makes it easy to stay alive don't you think when your product is basically the only modern product out there. To me that says it is not easy at all when no one but you provides such a product. Easy things don't come without competitors imho. -
This leads to a very interesting field of questions. Will there be a world for every (or some) times in history? WWII, Korea, Vietnam, cold war, post cold war...? And what about seasons? ...

This is what I do. All the way down. Looks pretty good, even in VR (G2, 100% SteamVR).

In the quoted interview (from 14th October 2021) Wags said: "We've been working on that technology for about a year and a half now and it's coming along quite well." edit: thanks for sharing it btw.

If I understand Wags correctly this new team (like every other new team) wants and has to prove that they understood how map building works. And this with a terrain that is not a vital and urgently needed in the line of DCS warfare terrains. After this, they might be able and allowed to do a region that we all want and need. From this point of view, is it really so wrong to start with northern Australia?

No Patch for Viggen and Tomcat, Aug 24th 2022
Tom Kazansky replied to IronMike's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Those things happen. What about a deal? Post just one WIP picture of the Heatblur DCS F-4 and all is forgiven. -
Thanks @Rudel_chw for giving me the opportunity to comment those videos with: "This Notso is pretty darn cool!" I already like the Razbam Strike Eagle for DCS and those videos make it a no brainer for me.

Where did you get this list from? At least Germany never used any variant of the Hun. (edit: I can't speak for the UK, the Netherlands and Italy)

Danke für die Einblicke in Sachen die wir in DCS nie erleben werden. (Wobei ich mich freu, dass hier meine Füße die Farbe nicht ändern. )
