Weil it seems odd anyways that a topic which asks for more options gets to a discussion about whether existing options should be terminated.

Beeing a member of this community for years, I have learned that there is an immense amount of different opinions how DCS should be. If DCS were just exactly like one single of them and not more it would lose a lot of users. So, options make a wider and bigger group of users. That beeing said, I have no problem with OP's request, although I would not join his server. Let the people decide whether they like it or not. It shouldn't be hard to disable the auto start keybinds by an option.

I understand that it might seem easier for new teams not to deal with our community. My suggestion/question was meant to avoid that ED and you moderators have to take all the complaints that imho should be addressed to those 3rd parties instead.

Wouldn't it be better to create a new subforum for every new 3rd party right at the day they officially announce modules? Look at OnReTech subforum which is a good example. No complaint-storms, no extensive discussion here about their Sinai map and the best thing: they achieved that with 2 posts and 5 replies in that subforum.

I feel you pain so I searched for a difference and I found out that since the end of 2020 combined arms has updates in almost every single stable DCS changelog. The Hawk obviously has none. That might not be enough for some/most, but CA is not dead.

I saw such behaviour on a short ride with the Fw-190D lately. The gear toggle key "G" by default worked though. Have you tried G or what you use to toggle gears up/down with one keybind?

Völlig richtig. DCS wird wahrscheinlich noch sehr lange nicht genau das bieten was die ZiviSims bieten, aber dafür bietet ein unbewaffneter Transporter mit RWR und Flares und dem Logistik System (edit: vielleicht noch mit ner Fighter-Eskorte) etwas was die anderen wohl nie liefern werden. Das kann ganz schön motivieren denk ich. Seit VR flieg ich übrigens keine Weltumrundungen mehr, sondern bin mit 1-2 Stunden dauernden Flügen sehr zufrieden. Das kann DCS jetzt (also ab der Herc) auch schon ganz gut.

Freu mich bis jetzt über alles was ich lese. Diese Herc könnte ein wichtiger Pionier für DCS werden. Ich hab einen Freund der ausschließlich zivile Sims nutzt davon erzählt und ihr hättet seine Augen sehen sollen. Vielleicht bringt das viele neue User an DCS heran, vor allem weil man DCS kostenlos bekommt uns nach der Zeit auch jedes Modul für zwei Woche kostenlos testen kann. Wo gibt's das denn noch? Das könnt groß werden.

Kleine Anmerkung zu dem oben geteilten Bogey Dope Video über die Q&A mit den C-130 Devs: wir scheinen die lange Version (der Luftwaffe) auch zu bekommen, die -30.

How can all those 3rd party content free resources from ED? edit: ED states over and over that more than half of the team is working on core improvements. So all I hope from all the announcements is that ED earns to grow even more, which is the best way to speed things up imho.

Ich hoffe/glaube das wird ein ganz neues Fliegen, das anders ist als die zivilen Sims aber auch anders als das was wir bis jetzt bei DCS machen.

Es gibt noch nicht viele Sim-Piloten die eine solche Art der Fliegerei unter taktischen Ernstfallbedingungen und Bedrohungen gemacht haben. Für die meisten von uns ist wohl schon ne Kiste abzuwerfen ne Erweiterung des sonst zivilen Fliegens. Ich bin sehr gespannt drauf, wie sich's anfühlt wenn man ohne Waffen was zu erledigen hat wo's nicht so friedlich zugeht. Der Hype kommt wohl auch sehr daher, dass die C-130 nunmal der erste schwere Brummer ist und auch noch 4 Motoren hat. Das sind Dinge die ED vor nicht so langer Zeit noch ausgeschlossen hatte. Die Herc könnte bei Erfolg ne Tür aufstoßen durch welche noch viele ersehnte Module kommen könnten.
