  1. I try to put it easier: I take a module in trial and use it like those "5 modules" from above. So ED should take those away from me in 3 years without earning 1 single buck? Good luck. It's just a guess but I think the trial period is not for learning modules but for getting a feeling about them. The only reason ED gifts us with 14 days and not just 2 hours like Steam does imho is that a lot of modules that I hated the for the first 2 days I learned to love some days later. But don't get me wrong, I could easily live with it if ED followed your proposal.
  2. I regret to be the rain on your parade, but If ED did that, I would have at least 5 modules still in trial period that I've bought years ago. I'm not asked but in my opinion what ED does is fair and more than any other company does in flight sims.
  3. I guess it worked for Heatblur with the F-4 not to heat up the hype train. And probably the Typhoon is more a 2024/25 module. So I for one wasn't too surprised.
  4. it is not DCS but it is a first taste (to me).
  5. I should have added "compared to the 3080". I do agree in general and have only little to none hope that we could get close to good old times again.
  6. Thanks for the info. I missed FSR in the recently posted to do list for DCS in 2023 though. Is there any sign for hope that I missed?
  7. That wouldn't be bad for the money and power consumption of the 4070 ti.
  8. "Multithreading has been one of our primary efforts to improve DCS performance, and it is currently in closed beta testing. Initially two threads (graphical and logical) will be implemented, and once the technology is stable and mature, we plan to expand this number." Well, that's great news! Thank you!
  9. I'm sure the new RTX 4070 ti is good for DCS in 2D even at 4k. With this thread I want to ask people about their experiences with it in VR. Does it make sense or is the 4080 that much better to be worth that higher price tag?
Because only one of the CCDs is covered with the SRAM chip, AMD can maintain high boost clock rates on the second CCD. So each CCD has its strengths - one comes with an extra 64MB of L3 cache, the other offers the high boost clock speeds."
  11. right, but it seems that only the CCD without the X3D cache has the higher boost clock. So for the new multithreading (or dualthreading) DCS core, the 7800X3D could be CPU of choice because(!) of the single CCD architecture. I'm looking forward to VR comparisons to th 5800X3D in DCS.
  12. Der Tornado scheint noch ganz schön weit weg zu sein. Also mehr "beyond" als alles was man gezeigt hat?
  13. ^^ this. thanks
  16. The Mirage 2000C allows you to select an altitude which is held when reached but it is not like OP requests neither.
  17. My thought was: if the GBU dropped from the front still misses, it is not a case of missing ability to glide, but something in the tracking/controlling of the GBU (in DCS). Maybe the rate or magnitude of corrections.
  18. That would be better, but it would not explain completely what's going on in OP's case.
  19. Reading all the tread it could be interesting what happens when the GBU is dropped from the other direction relative to the moving target, i.e. from the front. The OP shows an aspect angle almost right from behind. The result should help us getting closer to the culprit of the shown behaviour. (Sorry, that I can't do this myself at the moment.)
  20. Weil it's odd that Home and Home>Activity lead to different URLs with the same content.
  21. same here. is this the "new home": https://forum.dcs.world/forums/ ?
