  1. Yup, as someone else said, the exact same dimensions, simply because those dimensions were the best for that shape of craft. jack certainly was FAR ahead of the times when he came out with that thing in the 50s.
  2. I think that only supports mobos from intel, not mobos with intel chipsets from other vendors, but I dont know. This is the first I have read about it. EDIT: The driver still doesnt do trim for raid, all it does is, if youre intel controller is set to raid mode, but you are not actually doing raid but just using single disks, then driver supports raid with the intel controller set to raid mode, thats all. If the controller is set to raid mode, and you are using raid, e.g say raid 0 or raid 1 etc, then trim still wont work. http://techreport.com/discussions.x/18653
  3. Cheers dude ;) I was trying to use the embed link, also trying to just put the link between the 2 youtube quotes. It used to work like that, but obviously not anymore, ahwell, atleast I know how to do it now ;)
  4. The Panics Dont Fight It. From Underbelly, great TV series. I give up trying to embedd these dumb videos from youtube, doesnt matter what I seem to do it doesnt work. heres the link instead
  5. I hear ya, out on the rigs where we are, before you can do ANYTHING, you first need atleast 3 different pieces of safety approval, safety safety safety is drummed into ya every single day. I dont like to say it, but if the same approach that we use here was used in the Gulf, maybe just maybe this would never of happened ? But, I spose that it takes a big accident for people to take safety seriously, hence the laws were not as tight as they are here post Piper A. Before Piper, we were the same, only interested in getting the oil and gas out of the ground to make as much money as we could as quickly as we could, thus safety took a back seat. I dont blame the US for its oil and gas laws, but they should of took notice after Piper and a few other rigs blew up.
  6. I just rebuilt my pc today with new parts, I go to download new drivers from nskidia, and 258.96 are still up as the latest whql drivers. So I doubt they are that bad or nvidia would of pwnd them by now especially if they were causing major problems with every card.
  7. Well, I just had a look at my driver version, and guess what ? I have 258.96 and have had it for ages without ANY problem's using a 280gtx. So not all cards will be affected, as mine aint as its temp is 49oC at idle, with 1470rpm fan and 40% fan duty cycle, the fan duty cycle smoothly goes upto 100% when the temp's rise. So in conclusion, not all cards are affected with driver 258.96, or for the last few months my card would of been affected.
  8. Second to last would be a good solution Viper. I have also wiped out a couple activations due to, how can I put this, ach I will just blame the pc :)
  9. it's a step in the right direction, but I can see problems with it. Example, say someone used their last activation and the game publisher had set a 1 month or more time limit before you got the activation back. Well, say an hour or so after you used your last activation your hard drive died, you replace it within 2 days at max, or even within 10 minutes if you have more than 1 hdd in your pc, once thats done you are forced to wait for the 30 days to run out before you can play again. As I said, its a step in the right direction, because judging by some posts on the forums, some people have waited weeks for ED to hook them up with new keys, so this can only be a good thing, but for problems like I mentioned, I would be 1 mighty pissed off consumer if that were to happen to me.
  10. Yup, after his death, they got carried away with safety. Ok safety is a good thing as we dont want to see drivers dieing on a sat/sun afternoon live on TV, but they went to the extremes in trying to slow the cars down. That and some of the new rules that come in each year which are completely daft. I think it was last season or maybe 2008 where there was meetings and arguements just before the season started about some new implementation that was being brought in. The teams/drivers werent happy and some were not gunna drive, whilst other teams were trying or did ? bring the Fia to court over the matter. Stupid finicky rules that come in one year and are thrown out at the end of the season never to be seen again. Bernie and chums just cant seem to make up their minds about which yearly changes they want to make, then they do it at the last minute which usually causes an uproar between drivers/teams just a few days before each season officially starts.
  11. Whilst I agree with you that a harrier is no match for a dedicated Air supremacy fighter and would invariably get its ass spanked in a fight, but I do disagree with you about the radar. The Sea harrier, at the time had the most advanced Pulse Doppler radar available anywhere, ( the Blue Vixen Radar ) and that radar formed the basis for the CAPTOR radar in the Eurofighter. So it wasnt as bad as you are making it out to be. Although saying that, I do agree with everything else you said about the harrier.
  12. I remember watching F1 the day Roland Ratzenberger Crashed and then the following day when Senna crashed. Crazy weekend that was, at first we knew he was hurt, but didnt know how bad it was, then it slowly filtered through that he had died. From that day on, F1 hasnt been the same, well not for me it hasnt, even when Schuey was dominating F1 for years, it just wasnt the same as when Ayrton was top dog. Senna just attacked all the time, so you knew you were in for a good race, regardless if he needed the points or not to win the championship. As soon as he got into the car he drove it like his life depended on it every single time.
  13. Yup, total dumb move, Whatever Ross Brawn touches turns to gold, if only they waited. They should of gave him a year to weave his magic as you say and then decided what to do, but with all the negative media attention and lack of sales, they had to be seen to be doing something to save money, hence ditching F1. I would of loved for them to stay in F1 as they have a long history when it comes to F1, supplying engines, racing etc. Ok not so much as an actual Honda racing team, but they were big behind the scenes, especially when it came to supplying engines to other F1 teams, they have been associated one way or another with F1 since the 60s if I recall correctly. Hopefully one day they will make a comeback. As for Ross Brawn, that dude is a genius when it comes to F1, him and michael were untouchable a few years back and it cannot all be attributed to the driver, just a pity that they could not make the magic work again in the 2010 season whilst they are both at mercedes.
  14. They have been like that for years over here, coupe I mean, although we call them hatchbacks. They also come in 4 door versions, keeping the coupe shape. Do you think the RS version would sell well in the US or do you think ford did the right thing by just selling it in Europe ?
  15. Yea, I seen them pull out of F1, if you ask me it was the right move. After the bullshit that happened in america with recalls, the slump in car sales and the cost to fix their cars in the US, they couldnt be seen to waste money on F1, afterall, its not like they were winning anything in F1. Had they been super competitive they would of probably still been there ? I loved the NSX, it got alot of stick, but for the price of it, it was a cheap thoroughbred sports car that put many so called sportscars that were 2-3 times its price to shame, pity they cancelled it and its replacement. Any car that Ayrton Senna helped build was surely gunna be great, just weird that the public didnt think much of it. Stupid public.
  16. I remember something similar from a few years ago, a new nvidia driver once installed would increase your gpu at idle by 10-15 oC and in some cases the gpu would cut out during gaming due to the heat. I remember it happening to me, as soon as the driver was installed, instead of having an idle of 50 something, I was now up in the high 60's Cheers for warning us about this prob Pilotasso
  17. A10C is but a kick in the arse away from being released, yet people are still harping on about, "what's next". Whats coming next is this:
  18. The pic you have if you look closely is the exact same as diveplane's picture. From one angle the car looks similar to the UK Focus, but from another angle it looks totally different.
  19. For sure, ED has done an amazing job and I am saying that without even having played it yet. If ED wants to release it this year and are adamant about sticking to their schedule, I am positive they can do it with what all is left to do. I dont know what all is left to do or how buggy the beta is ? as I havent bought it yet due to me building my new rig tomorrow or thursday, but rest assured once I have, I will jump right in there and test this baby out for myself. I personally do not care when it comes out, as long as it is good when its released and most major bugs are found and fixed before release, it wouldnt bother me to wait another 6 months, because good things come to those who wait :pilotfly:
  20. I wouldnt be surprised if ETA is now 2011, hence the decision to release the beta to the public. Stops people from moaning "if indeed it is delayed til 2011" cause atleast they get there hands on the beta and atleast get to play with the sim. If I was a betting man, which I am not, I would put money on it not being released this year, hence the beta release for those who pre-purchase and which will keep the majority, if not all of the community quiet when 2010 comes to an end.
  21. Damn, UK ford focuses are much nicer looking. Strange how both cars with the same name look totally different. Compare the above to our version, albeit this is the rs version, but the rest look similar.
  22. Sam77, that is one helluva nice car, shexy! Just a pity its no use where I live, the front bumper would be ripped clean off it due to the arse hole annoying speed bumps thats sprung up all over my city :(
  23. Haha, its named the Delta Flyer from Star Trek :)
  24. It isnt exactly a sim, but if you want to fly and have buddies in tanks etc, you might like to try arma and arma 2 Armed Assault and Armed Assault 2 is the proper names, its about as close to what you want as you can get at this moment in time. As someone already mentioned, the infantry part is as close to a sim as you can get when it comes to FPS games. however, that being said, there isnt anything thats truly "sim" that encompasses Sea, Air and Land, which is a pity, but they are working towards such things, the computers just need to keep getting more powerful and maybe within 10-15 years we will se something like that.
  25. My fav car is my Audi rs6 :D which the other half wants me to trade it in for a dumb bmw x5 due to "child safety", that and the fact that last years winter saw the audi stuck in the snow more times than I care to remember. She has been told to GTFO, the kids are safe enough in the back seat as is.
