Deadman, I have seen the pic that you link to on there site, but thats just normal with cockpit lights on, it isnt with nightvision enabled, which is really what I am looking/asking for, but cheers for posting the link and the pic. I would like to have that thing in my house :) EDIT: Sobek, Yup you are correct, basically just a screenshot, or a couple of them to see what the cockpit is like at night when everything is setup for nightvision and possibly a second screenie if possible of night vision enabled but looking out of the side windows of the A10, either looking at another plane or looking at the ground. Its just to get a feel for what the nightvision is going to be like in DCSA10C and also how it compares to the KA50 NV setup.

Heh, was you there also. It was great to see the vulcan finally take off atlast. When I last went, we got pulled over when we were waiting in the huge que to get in, we got taken via a side gate into the base, told to get out of the car and eod with a dog checked the car out for explosives :| must of thought we were white alquaeda ? Which was a coup, as it meant we bypassed about a mile and a half of traffic :) wasnt so lucky this year mind you. Although I am still trying to recover my hearing, as I forgot to take my ear pads with me as I was in a rush, as I had a few things to do before leaving and also had to swing on into dundee to pick up a buddy who was coming with us, so everything was a bit hectic. I suffered for rushing on the day, as the bloody things are ear screechingly loud. But I did manage to get a few souvenirs, yay, and a burger that made me sick 30 minutes later, boo. That choppa looks great, my ONLY gripe would be the red beacon at the bottom of the helo, how does it manage to shine on certain places of the helo that would be impossible to do in real life. I.E the rotorblades, on the underside they are all red due to the beacon underneath the heli, also inpart due to the red beacon on the left hand side of the helo, but the red lights extend to the underneath of the blades on the righ hand side of the helo, where no red light should be able to reach. The KA50 suffers from a similar problem, where the beacon light turns things red, which due to the way light travels, would be impossible to do it real life. But it is not a big problem and something I can easily live with if ED decided not to fix it, as this sim just gets better and better as each day passes and new info is released.

I know this is alot to ask, but would it be possible if someone from ED, with ED's blessing of course, if they could post a screenshot showing the A10C cockpit under Nightvision conditions ? I ask, because I would love to see the differences compared to the KA50s NV setup. So, would it be possible ? Thanks

I would like to say yes, but however much I love F1, every single F1 game I have, I am total shit at it. Seriously, the first semi bad corner I come to I seem to get wasted. I am lucky if I can do 1 good lap with a good time and without crashing or damaging the car, if I can do one, rest assured there wont be a 2nd lap like that. I just cannot seem to get into the groove when it comes to F1 car games. That being said, I am great at other car games, like Gran Turismo's, Dirt, TOCA etc, I seriously am pretty good at them if I say so myself, which makes it even stranger to figure out why, for the life of me I ALWAYS get raped when it comes to F1 games...

I cant wait for GT5, I have every other GT game for the PS on up, but this version seems to be the dog's bollocks. I seriously cant wait til its released, it will get me back to actually using my release day ps3 60gig console, which has less than 30 hours usage since I bought it in 2007. But this game will easily get me back to using it and easily double the amount of hours that my ps3 has seen. I cant say the same for my 360, which maybe has 50 hours usage from 2006 and has just sat doing nothing since Rainbow 6 vegas 2 came out. I cant even give the thing away, I asked my sister's boyfriend if he wanted it for nothing, he actually refused :D So it looks like I am stuck with a 360 that doesnt and will not get used again.

Yea, there servers must be getting hammered, as I usually get uber speed from them, but am only getting 850kbps :( and its gunna take 9 minutes to dload, that is after about 5 minutes of waiting for the screen and the download button to work. Normally jabog is uber fast, so I guess there servers are being hammered due to the vid ? EDIT: I jizz'd

Select Salvo mode and then keep your finger on the fire button and it will release 2 viks instead of one, it will fire one and then a second or so later it will fire another, although u can still fire only one if you wish, you just have to be quick at removing your finger from the trigger once the first vik has fired.

That youtube link crash, supposedly it was caused by a broken/malfunctioning AoA meter, or something similar. The newbie pilot was told to wave off, his cockpit displays showed that he was doing everything correctly and that he was correctly positioned to abort the landing, but since the AoA meter was showing the wrong reading, the plane stalled and flipped. Had the AoA meter showed the correct reading, that accident probably would not of happened.

That bottom pic sure does look lovely. I cant wait for this sim to be released, as it is surely gunna make everything else obsolete overnight.

Oh, I could easily spend 280 euros on pedals no problem, but I am upgrading my pc and also buying the warthog stick, so all that is gunna rape me financially. Plus one of the reasons I wouldnt like to spend 280 euros on pedals is because I am one clumsy mofo, and I dont mind spending say 150 on something that I will probably break, but 280 is pushing it, especially when it comes to my feet.

^ That If you have a warranty, then use it. Only do this as a last resort, i.e when the thing, whatever it maybe, video card, xbox360 motherboard etc etc is already dead and out of warranty. The trick will only work for problems that are associated with lose connections, where the solder has come away from the join and isnt making a good connection. Fried gpu or fried memory modules on a video card caused by overclocking will not be fixed by this method. This type of fix is only good for problems that are caused by soldered connections that have failed for some reason or another. It isnt a magic cure all and as EtherealN says, its a Last Resort.

I tried out a set of Ch pedals at the weekend, and although I could use them no problem, if I had to use them for any length of time they would become too uncomfortable due to them being close together :( I guess I have to think again. Although saying that, I do like the look of saiteks new pedals that someone linked to in this thread. Not sure if they are available yet ? but I like the look of them and they will hopefully come in cheaper than 280 euros, as I really cannot justify spending 280 euros on something that my feet kisses. How is it, that nothing is ever cut and dry, anything for an easy life.

I did watch some videos of CH pedals in action and the first thing I noticed was that they did seem awfully close together. The video was of a 12 year old, youtube video, and it even looked uncomfortable for him, so I dont know how its gunna be like for me at 6ft 6 with size 10 1/2 feet. I have only read good reviews about Ch, but I would feel happier had the pedals been slightly further spaced, but until I actually see a set I wont know. I am gunna travel down to Dundee at the weekend and will hopefully get to see a pair of CH pedals in the flesh, once I see them I will get a better idea of if they will be too small for me. If they are too small it means I will be back at square one. On a lighter note Succellus, I have a spare gameport to usb connection if you need it ? Anyway, I will know by Sunday if CH pedals are ok for me. Cheers everyone for helping me find a set of pedals, it is much appreaciated ;)

I have been googling the pedals and reading up about them, everywhere seems to give them good reviews, which makes me feel happy about buying them. Its good to hear that they are durable enough, manpad rage is what I would be afraid of, but I spose it just takes getting used to and also having to force yourself to remember, atleast to start with, that your feet are hooked upto pedals instead of just the floor. Basically, keep the crazy death feet thumping to a minimum. As far as the flippers, not exactly size 13, but subract 2 1/2 and you get the idea. Hopefully that wont be too big for the things ? I have seen alot of people post saying that they have the ch pedals, although to me that in itself told me nothing regarding quality etc, but I think I will settle on them after reading up about them. Whats the quality like on them CH pedals ? They durable enough ? I ask this because I dont have fairy feet and thats one of the things that stopped me from getting pedals in the past. Are they likely to last, even with the odd heavy footedness ? nothing that would be classed as abuse mind you. Cheers

In the screenshot in EB's post, did the new model replace a helicopter for testing ? because if you look closesly, you can see engine haze coming from the sides of the plane ala ka50 style :) Could also be that it replaced the harrier ? Regardless, its a gorgeous model and deserves to be in the game in one form or another.

I am about to pull the trigger on some pedals, i dont have any and I will need a set for when the thrustmaster warthog stick is released. Any help would be appreaciated. We dont needs binos, we already have the zoom feature, which for all intents purposes would work as binos ingame. As for the other thing, I have no clue, but I spose it would be a good idea, maybe a mission to save a downed airman, we have to find him first and then protect him from troops that are closing in, until jolly green can get on scene and pick him up.
