  1. Is the burble simulated in DCS?
  2. Thanks for sharing. Does anyone know if we will be able to get an NCTR print when locking a target in TWS, or is it only possible with an STT?
  3. Make sure that your throttle is mapped correctly in DCS. Go into the controls options for the F/A-18C, and then click Axis Tune once you have your trottle selected. The bingo indicator will give you an alert when you reach the amount of fuel you set on the IFEI. If you're getting started in the F/A-18C I would highly recommend Wag's tutorial series, here's one that talks about IFEI.
  4. Hi everyone, just compared the file I had uploaded with the one modified by Razi on diffchecker, the only difference I found was that I had accidentally typed some numbers in a random spot in the code which is almost certainly what was causing issues for you guys. I've just updated the downloads, please do try it out and let me know if the issue persists. Big thanks to Razi for really doing all the heavy lifting on this!
  5. Got some VMFAT-101 liveries in the pipeline.
  6. Would civilian aircraft show up as unknown or does it have its own designation?
  7. Are you guys installing the file manually or loading it with either JSGME or OvGME?
  8. I was just looking at pictures of that Hasegawa kit 30 minutes ago thinking about recreating that Navy/Marines test livery. Looks you you got there first! Great looking skins as always, can’t wait till the full pack gets released.
  9. Unfortunately I don’t have VoiceAttack, I understand what it does but I’m not sure exactly how it interfaces with DCS. I can’t come up with anything off the top of my head as to why it might be breaking since the mod shouldn’t change any player radio commands, just the JTAC responses. Please let me know if you make any progress figuring it out.

    VMFA-112

Didn’t know that anyone had made these liveries her, I was actually looking into making some myself, but do let us know if you come across them.
  11. The IFF system is still missing some key features like automatic interrogation which is tied into the AZ/EL format. This will alleviate at least some of what you and the rest of us are probably struggling with once it comes online.
  12. Still no word on the official template right?
  13. I agree, there is a very limited amount of texturing you can do with the current way they have the model and textures set up. I wish they would also have an option to fly without the JHMCS helmet model, it looks very out of place when flying planes with liveries from the 90s and earlier.
  14. This pack is comprised of several Air Test and Evaluation Squadron liveries. Included are liveries representing Hornets from VX-23 Salty Dogs during the 2009 CVN-77 flight deck certification tests, VX-30 Bloodhounds sporting an aggressor camo paint job from 2005, VX-31 Dust Devils while performing weapons tests at NAWCWD in 1999, and VX-9 Vampires stationed at Point Mugu in 1997. Each one has been photo referenced to ensure they are as authentic as possible, and includes a number of pieces of vector drawn squadron art and other details. Every aircraft livery also includes historically accurate BuNo's (including inside the cockpit). However, some of the aircraft represented are A, not C model Hornets, so this pack should be considered semi-historical. Some notable details of the liveries include the black and white tracking symbols used for testing purposes on the VX-23 Hornet, the matte orange painted gun cover used by VX-31, and the dual Navy/Marine Corps skin of the VX-9 bird, as well as custom walkways that feature on several of the aircraft. Also provided for some of the skins is an alternate fuel tank design that features the tracking symbols. Simply go into the livery's folder and swap the [ALTERNATE] in the filename from one fuel tank texture file to the other. In the download you will also find a fix to get rid of the ugly dirt/shadows on the bottom of the wings when flying without pylons, as was common with many of these aircraft. This fix can be applied to all Hornet skins, or on a per-skin basis depending on how you choose to install it. In depth instructions can be found in the download. An alternate download is available that comes with this fix pre-installed for all liveries in the pack, however it is too large to host on the User Files. Download: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3304291 Alternate (pylon dirt fix pre-installed): http://drive.google.com/file/d/1Mb1ZoDyMZoyMaoYH9vZQpbTHbXMsatTZ Installation: Copy the four different livery folders included in the download into [YOUR DCS INSTALL]/CoreMods/aircraft/FA-18C/Liveries/FA-18C_hornet folder. These skins are available for the US faction in game, the VX-30 skin can also be used by the US Aggressors. Please do not reupload these skins anywhere without permission. Please let me know if you find any errors with the skin or have any comments/questions. Enjoy!
  15. You can also use JTAC to call out target coordinates.
  16. Great livery man!
  17. Just updated the download after re-exporting every texture using the Intel DDS plugin. From a distance you probably wont be able to tell any difference, but up close the increase in quality is very noticeable. This is most apparent on things with fine details such as text, the country flags, patches, the edges of the camo pattern, etc.

Feel free to post your requests in the Hornet livery wishlist thread. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=189365
  19. There are a number of liveries that include tan flight suits, ED includes one in their VMFAT-101 skins. The only ones I can think of that also have camo helmets are Bananimals VMFA-451 pack, https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3303814/
  20. To be honest I'm looking forward to releasing that napalm more than just about any other weapon for the Hornet.
  21. Unfortunately.
  22. Here’s a screenshot of the logo on the Hornet, though it is slightly different from the one on the F-14. I haven’t released it yet, but the skin will be coming out in a pack with a few other VX liveries in a week or two. Really itching to get started on these Tomcat skins!
  23. Wags talks about this a bit in his latest video, https://youtu.be/YJjKFzMqHRo Although MGRS/UTM coordinate entering will be coming to the Hornet later, apparently JDAMs do not make use of this, and require input in Lat/Lon coordinates. However, they will later add the ability to use PRECISE mode, allowing for accuracy up to 1 meter. Edit: simultaneous post
  24. I’ve already made a vector version of that VX-9 logo for a Hornet livery, so I can get started on that one once the template gets released.
  25. That desert splinter camo looks absolutely sick, looking to start work on that one once the template has been released.
