  1. I suspect Victory is winding you up :D
  2. If the Hornet driver can force a single circle fight the turn rate disadvantage becomes irrelevant though (turn radius is what's important), so not that simple.
  3. I don't suppose you have a link to where I can find the pocket checklist? Thanks.
  4. Left hand console near throttles, external fuel control panel, move WING or CTR control swtich from NORM to STOP.
  5. Right. And the point is the emotional outbursts are just as prevalent from the fanboys.
  6. Telling people they're wrong, even if they are, wont make them go away. That's all I'm trying to say.
  7. Nope, you're still talking as if right or wrong even enters into this - it doesn't. Oh and to use your Christmas analogy, HB waved the presents at the kids then told them they couldn't have them yet.
  8. You misunderstand. I'm not a a fan of all the pitchforks either, but this is the worst I've seen it. Whether you think those people are reasonable or not makes no difference - they're here. The best course of action is to try and understand why, and not repeat the same mistakes. And honestly, saying there's nothing the devs could have done better isn't true in my opinion - they did make a mistake. No other developer has done a countdown that turned out to be just for a cinematic reveal for a product that may not release for up to 6 months later, and didn't provide a specific deadline date either. Again, before you flame me, I'm not in the whining camp, I'm just trying to understand why people got annoyed - and I don't think simply telling them they're wrong is going to help.
  9. No problem, we're all here to learn
  10. Other devs have built up their hype more gradually, I think. That tends to reduce controversy, at least in my humble opinion. I'm well aware that I don't have the whole picture though. Either way I've bought, and hope you and the module do well
  11. You didn't need to mention the devs. The context of your post said it all.
  12. Your 'defence' of a developer doesn't invalidate legitimate criticism.
  13. This. Hype 5 weeks before release, not 5 months!
  14. I agree SandMan23. I expect you to receive abuse shortly!
  15. Thanks for elaborating, mine was a bit of a half arsed answer!
  16. I'll answer this bit first: External fuel is driven from the external tanks into the internal tanks by pressurised air, provided by the bleed air system - it isn't pumped like internal fuel. Normally (NORM switch setting) this air supply (and therefore external tank fuel transfer) is disabled with weight on wheels or with the A/A refueling probe extended (I think those are the scenarios). ORIDE re-enables fuel transfer in these scenarios. Engines start on internal fuel. As per above, (unless ORIDE) fuel doesn't transfer from external tanks with weight on wheels. Also, fuel cascades into internal tanks first (no direct link from external tanks to engines) anyway. Schematic here:
  17. There are 4 restart profiles: APU, Crossbleed, Spooldown, Windmill (profiles for these are shown on other pages not included above). APU and Crossbleed require the engine being restarted is cranked; bleed air is required for this. Spooldown and windmill do not require cranking/bleed air.
  18. That's directly from NATOPS. State your source or start making sense.
  19. Hold the heading switch for a second or so until HSEL (I think it is) appears on the UFC; you can then type in a number.
  20. No it isn't.
  21. Correct, no bleed air required for windmill start, but you don't need to crank the engine for a windmill restart either; all you need is affected throttle idle or above. And you couldn't crank the engine with your proceedure anyway, because you've turned the bleed air off. If I've missed something fine, but your proceedure just doesn't seem to make sense.
  22. I think it's very forgiving, so it's probably not the best bet if you want to use it to learn to build up to WW2 planes.
  23. Page reference please.
  24. Those 3 points alone imply a successful start will result, so what does reading to the end accomplish? The rest of the post are for different proceedures. The proceedure Vitormouraa posted doesn't appear in NATOPS nor does it seem to make sense.
