  1. Did you run the debug tool vertically? If like me you had no joy horizontally, try it verically. This sorted it for me. Reset the tool to default and swap the top/bottom screen edge values for both eyes.
  2. This post was helpful to me.
  3. Did you get to the bottom of this? I just got sworn at on a server for the exact same thing.
  4. I’m not at my pc for a few days, so I can’t compare my file with yours I’m afraid. Looks about right though. Hopefully somebody can compare for you.
  5. As mentioned above, editing the reprojection file in the WMR for Steam VR file is necessary for a smooth (ish) experience.
  6. Did you shut down then restart Steam VR? Would suggest a pc restart if possible.
  7. Early morning typo for me there. Should read Reprojection not reproduction If you follow the setup steps in the link below, you should be well on your way... https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/vr4dcs.com/2019/09/10/reverb-settings-for-dcs/amp/
  8. XX:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\MixedRealityVRDriver\resources\settings. I assume you have already enabled reproduction here. If so just replace the “auto” with “motionvector” in the line that you originally removed the quotes on. Close down and restart Steam VR and your FPS should now be locked at 45 instead of fluctuating on the rare occasions that it can hit 90.
  9. Yeah, thanks for the suggestions regarding motionvector and Nvidia settings. As for the screen instability, I don't think it's Steam VR that's causing the multiplayer issues. After selecting my airframe in the menu the screen jumps all over the place through the briefing screen and for quite a while in the pit. Not the end of the world of course, but it is quite unpleasant. Edit- Have just ordered another 16GB of RAM to take me up to 32GB- Will report back if it improves things.
  10. Is anyone else experiencing the ridiculous flickering during loading in SP and jumping about when entering the pit in multiplayer? It has got so disorienting for me recently I have to hold the HMD upright and navigate the menus using the mirrored screen and mouse until things have settled down. Really lets down the overall presentation quality of the sim for me and I feel quite sure it's not good for your eyes. On a plus note, I noticed a marked improvement in FPS stability by replacing the "auto" with "motionvector" in the projection settings and also changing the low latency mode to ultra in the Nvidia Control Panel.
  11. I have given the 60HZ mode a good go. My experiences: I initially got a fish eye effect and found the lens adjustment tool to be the culprit. Delete this first (bottom entry HP Reverb LUA) from your saved games folder and let it auto run again to fix this. I found the flickering to be a little distracting but could live with it if I could maintain 60FPS for long enough periods. Unforftunately with the settings I prefer this wasnt possible and 30FPS just didn't cut it for me. Another problem I found was a weird shimmering/glassy effect as the trees were being drawn at their furthest point. Maybe if I was running a 2080TI I would have had a better experience but for me it's back to 90HZ. Worth a try though, cheers.
  12. I just found this from ED, which I think is the answer to my question, but can't work out how to preserve the file structure. How to install the terrain (map) without Internet on PC ? (or traffic issues on PC) Due to the rather large volume of the simulator (especially true with the release of maps of Nevada) there are often questions on the quick add module, which is already downloaded on another computer. "Frontal" way of copying might work, but sooner or later it will end up in a complete reinstall. How to properly and safely do this: 1. Copy the existing module to any temporary location, preserving the folder structure of simulator (for example, E:\DCSCopy\Mods\terrains\Nevada). 2. Create in the root directory of the DCS simulator the text file with the title: dcs_local_source.txt 3. The contents of the file is the path to a temporary directory, in this case (UTF-8!): E:\DCSCopy\Mods\terrains\Nevada 4. Run DCS World, go to module Manager and start installation of Nevada terrain. The Updater will find your existing files, compare the version numbers, download all the required and will install it correctly. 5. After installation of Nevada on second PC, you can delete the temporary directory.
  13. Need a little advice. I bought the Persian Gulf map and downloaded it along with the stable standard DCS install at a friends house then transferred it onto a Portable hard drive. I did this due to a terrible internet speed at home. I'm running open Beta on my PC. I dropped the Mods/terrains/Persian Gulf file from the portable into the same directory on my home install. While it has been recognised in the module manager as installed I cannot access the map in game nor does it show up in any menus. Any suggestions? Solved I moved the new downloaded copy of DCS from the portable hard drive on to a hard drive on my pc, ran the exe and selected all my purchases in the module manager. The updater automatically found all the module and terrain files it needed in my DCS Open Beta install and downloaded the files from there.
  14. This was really helpful. Thanks for putting it together.
  15. I've owned three different headsets and they've all been set at different values. Suggest you adjust until it feels right. I don't think it's related to your real IPD.
  16. I have mine at 58. Seems about right to me when comparing myself to the pilot.
  17. It's in the VR section of the main settings menu. Edit-Right next to the force IPD distance.
  18. It’s probably been mentioned before, but if the headset won’t wake up rather than physically disconnecting, just go to Device Manager-right click the headset and disable then re-enable it. Works every time for me.
  19. Watched it through. That’s a nice clear refresher. Thanks for putting it together.
  20. I've been struggling to maintain a decent framerate in my Reverb compared to a buddy with a similar rig. I thought it might be a Windows 10 issue and found this Microsoft tool. https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system This definitely made a difference for me and might work for others. No harm done either way.
  21. Sounds like the area you're sitting in isn't well lit enough for the tracking cameras. Try a top down light if you can.
  22. I notice in Task Manager that for me when DCS is running it is not at the top of the list. I have an app called 360 video that is always above it. I cannot prioritise DCS over it. Is this 360 video part of Mixed Reality?
  23. I have a problem with audio. I would like to have my mic and headphones in my Reverb directed to comms (Discord, Teamspeak etc) only with my main 5.1 speaker setup used for gameplay. With previous HMD's I have just set the main speakers as default device in the sound control panel and then used the HMD speakers for voice playback in the dropdown list of whatever comms program I am using. With WMR though I cannot seem to enable the Reverb headphones in the sound control panel unless I check "When Mixed Reality Portal is running switch to headset audio" button in WMR settings. This then makes the HMD audio default and overides my 5.1 speakers so that all sound comes through the HMD. It is posiible to then make the 5.1 default again and get the result I want, but it is a bit of a faff to be doing this each time. Am I missing something here?
  24. Could do with a bit more clarity on how to properly use this tool. Whilst the auto buttons help reduce my eye strain, I can't help feeling it's still a bit off and the possibilities for manual adjustment seem limitless without any point of reference.
