  1. Well VR will always be VR and depend highly only your settings and headset.
  2. Oh another thing I noticed too, the default LSO gives you all wrong callouts as far as speed goes. He will call you are low when you are high and call you slow when you are in fact way fast.
  3. Seems fine once in the groove to me. Use the wake and BRC radial as a reference.
  4. Just tested with the B on the ground on a hotstart - works just fine. Check your bindings.
  5. That is what I originally meant - have a dedicated kneeboard page for it. Not saying it should be some Jester menu thing like the other guy suggested. I just made the comparison to real life being like asking your RIO.
  6. But you are not hitting a DDI? It's literally asking your RIO for the weight...
  7. I was able to launch off cat 3 yesterday. You have to taxi up right to the shuttle to hook up.
  8. Probably only after the major model rework + new pilot models slated for both B and late A.
  9. About the only real issue I have with the Forrestal is the FLOLS. You can see it from any angle and the distant LOD is way too bloomy even during the day. I hope this can be hot-fixed fairly soon.
  10. I am well aware and that's what I usually do. Just curious as to why you'd have to do it. Does it say anything in that regard in the manual?
  11. I think it would be pretty handy to have a dynamic gross weight readout on a kneeboard page, I mean you do have a nerd in the back, he can do some math for you. This would be fairly handy for max trap or field weights based on stores, fuel etc.
  12. Speaking off is there a way of picking the spawn location? Does the placed airraft slot order matter? I remember spawning in different spots on the old Stennis.
  13. Did some pattern work the other day , is it just me or is the default seat position realy off for landing? If you fly a 13AOA approach or flare from 11 to 13 the flight path marker and bracket disappear at the bottom of the HUD. You'd really need to crank that seat up to have a proper HUD view but this results in an unrealistically high seating position. I haven't sat in a real Viper cockpit myself so I have no real judgement on what is correct or not but going off some pictures online etc. it does seem strange that the HUD would be this hard to read in a high AOA, landing config.
  14. Yeah I don't care. I trust the SME more for it to "feel" right.
  15. Well, at last this was mostly fixed now and the triangular wave patterns are gone. The white turbulent water wake is still too short and not pronounced enough for most large ships, which can hopefully be addressed at some point.
  16. Speaking of, when can we expect Saratoga? How much extra work will it require?
  17. Can this somehow be discussed with ED internally? I don't think this is a reasonable state to be in going forward. Really sucks having to wait for a month to get it fixed yet again.
  18. Just did a dawn flight and only the max. settings seemed to bright / washed out. Floods at least worked and looked ok. Really hope this isn't another case of ED tinkering with the alpha textures and not telling anyone.
  19. Yeah this sucks.. EDIT: looks like only a few binds were lost, not all wich is good. Mainly stuff on the throttle, the flap axis and SAS binds.
