  1. Yeah, multiple even. I have flown all modules at least once with the exception of the Mi-8. Modules I fly regularly are the F/A-18, F-16 & Huey. The rest is asleep.
  2. I rather have more realistic lighting than more desert in a desert map.
  3. - Civilian Asset Pack - New updated Huey
  4. I get it, mate. If you can afford it, by all means. What I meant was it's crazy nowadays, these ridiculus prices for a small performanceboost. Therefor rationally speaking it's not worth it. Emotionally, well. You said it. To each his own. But I still keep convinced that software optimization is half (50%), hardware maybe 25% and the operating system also 25%. Approx. That makes these prices even worse.
  5. Well, no. The jump in performance is not worth such a high price. Also, software optimization is more important than the hardware used. But if people want to throw away money, who am I to disagree? It’s not rational behavior, so one should do as they please.
  6. Looking forward to more updates. I’m as eager for this jet as I was for the Hornet. Except the Eurofighter holds a special place because of the 90s game EF2000.
  7. @Rudel_chwthat’s fine, to each their own.
  8. A civilian asset pack, I would welcome that. With airliners, civilians, cars, boats, utility vehicels, the works. So mission/campaign creators can make the world seem more alive. Yes, I know there are mods, but I don't like mods, want to keep DCS clean, and if it's a paid module probably the quality will be better as well.
  9. C130. Now something completely different. Instant buy of course.
  10. Hence the vocal minorty. A small group of people from already a small group who resides on forums.
  11. You don't know what's going on in my head, so don't presume you do. It's hard to take someone serious after such an arrogant presumtion.
  12. And still not enough for the cold war hypers among us. Go figure. They get what they want but they still push for more.
  13. The current trend? Hah! Like I said, the vocal minority. I'm, again, willing to bet that the best selling modules are F-16, F/A-18, A-10. How I know? Because the userbase is way bigger (as usual with any product) than the forums, where the vocal minority always produces the loudest noise. It's the same with simracing. The vocal minority there cries for oldies. But the best selling content is GT3 and F1. Which are deemed boring by the vocal minority. See any commonalities? Focussing on one specific thing is not good way to keep your company healthy, since combat flight simming is already niche. It would be foolish is ED started to focus solely on cold war when the best selling modules are the modern jets. Also, and this is just a guess, I'm thinking most die hard posters are older (say, 50+) and therefor have lived the cold war period. Please don't start with "I'm not!". N=1 is not interesting. About professional customers. You can bet that combat flight training will be more and more facilitated through software such as DCS. Hardware costs are usually not really an issue but still hardware will also evolve which makes professional simulators obsolete in the not so distant future. So one can then theorize that the professional customer pool will only grow. And with that, the demand for modern military aviation will grow. So ED has to develop new API's for that, like they did with the F/A-18C.
  14. It's not wishing anymore. It's pushing. And it's not limited to the wishlist section.
  15. The future of DCS is not 1970-1980, since they have professional customers who may have different demands for the software. Also, not every player likes cold war. It's getting real tiresome to see people pushing and hyping cold war in DCS without any regard for other wishes people may have. Again, to vocal minority strikes again.
  16. Sincerely hope not, but it looks like it yeah.
  17. Well, this is the base I'm gonna upgrade my WarBRD with. In a few months, just emptied my wallet with the CM2 stick and CM3 throttle.
  18. Good luck building it.
  19. Yes, EF2000 was a blast. It's predecessor TFX was as well. Although I like the Eurofigther more than I like the Raptor from TFX (or the F-117A for that matter). Along with the Kola map it's almost like a revisit but 30 years later.
  20. @oldcrusty if you have official documentation on that you should share it with @BIGNEWY or @NineLine.
  21. Try holding the stick with just two fingers, as soon as you're in pre-contact position.
  22. If I hold my breath I die so I won't. Anyway. I wouldn't mind a KA-6, since we know HB is already working on an A-6. But that's not what I meant. I really meant creativity. A C-130 Hercules is something we don't already have in some form or another, in DCS. I has multiple uses (not unique in usecases but this plane in DCS would be unique: 4 engines, big & slow, not a fighter, bomber or another kind of attack machine), and as I said, it's really different, and most importantly, still in use today in the real world, so it's not bound to some specific timeperiod (i.e. "cold war" hype which I don't have interest in, none whatsoever, hence I'd like something more general). AWACS, I know, but still would be very unique within DCS. Also, it's carrier capable, which adds another challenge with these types of planes. Osprey would be my first wish for a 3rd party dev who's getting creative. It stands out due to its looks, its versatility, and the way one can fly it. Lastly. These were just on the top of my head. I just meant I'd wish for a 3rd party dev to be creative in module choice, surprise us! That is why I also mentioned a civilian asset pack. I would love that anyway. I know there are a few mods for that but some of us want to keep DCS mod-free and clean. Furthermore, some civilian assets like boats (yachts, coast guard, utility ships), airliners (a small one like a A320/B737 and a bigger one like A350/B747. Maybe also a smaller one like a Learjet. Citation or Gulfstream, next to the Yak-40 already in DCS). Again, I know I know, there are mods already. But I and others don't like mods.
  23. I wish for some creativity in module choice from 3rd party devs. Like a C-130 Hercules tanker, a V-22 Osprey, or an E-2D Hawkeye or something. Or a civilian asset pack to make DCS seem more alive.
