  1. I have it rendered in both eyes otherwise it's not clear and hard to read. I guess VR headsets are not really comparable to JHMCS systems.
  2. Try the obvious: run a full DCS repair first.
  3. First run a full DCS repair. Second make sure nothing is updating, scanning, or even running when starting DCS, other than apps needed for DCS. Third use the tips in here for graphics options in DCS as well as NVidia. Personally I would not try OpenXR before you've identified the issue what's causing your stutters.
  4. Too bad there’s still no news about Vulkan and/or multicore and/or dynamic campaign. It’s taking quite a while huh.
  5. Too bad nothing was asked about Heatlbur merging with Meta Simulations and possible connection with NOR platform.
  6. Not what I meant. I'm sure such documents exists. Point is, ED has said over and over that if someone thinks some system on a plane is wrong, provide evidence in PM. If you don't have those documents or other forms of evidence of some sort, then ED can't do anything because they require evidence. Hearsay, even from (former) pilots, is not evidence, it's hearsay. To play the emotional blackmail card by saying "boohoo people are leaving because of this!@#" isn't helping either. Sorry to put it rather harshly but it's been clear for a long time on how ED likes to operate. That's all I'm saying.
  7. See Nineline’s post. Such statements from users are almost never backed by official documents. And if they are we won’t see that because PM.
  8. Maybe nobody has official non-classified documents which they can share with ED, yet they keep complaining.
  9. Not weird at all. Most countries don’t have aircraft carriers, most people never served on a carrier. Also not everyone flying in DCS is American. So the fact some of you find these DCS missions with these CSG configs weird is actually weird.
  10. Yes but don’t expect miracles.
  11. It won't work because you can't use a zoom-function designed for 2D pancake in a 3D environment. That's why there are two zoom-'toggles' specifically designed for use in VR. These in return won't work (correctly) in 2D pancake.
  12. Not taking over VAICOM but incorporate it (newly developed) with the new ATC comms ED is working on.
  13. I'll just leave this here, more support from you guys would be welcome and more of an incentive for ED.
  14. Since VAICOM more and more seems like abandonware unfortunately, I would really like it if ED picks up this torch and develops support for spoken radio commands themselves. Slightly offtopic: Together with this wish I would like it if they add all radio messages to a special kneeboard page. That way the VR-crowd is catered fully. That's it. Thanks in advance. Any and all opinions are welcome.
  15. Coming from Virpil’s first throttle, I’ve received the CM3 a few days ago. The CM3 has quite a bit more travel than expected (haven’t measured it though but it’s considerably more than the one I had), even with both detents installed, which work really great by the way. I think that kind of quality for that price is unmatched. Pretty much the same with Virpil’s first Mongoose stick compared to the CM2 stick.
  16. Copy the mission file to a second location, edit the copy in the mission editor so the text won’t disappear until button pressed, off you go.
  17. In the Youtube playlist you will also find a video on how to save to profile if I remember correctly. Obviously save it after you've configured your controllers.
  18. Also would like George to callout targets as he finds them.
  19. New Huey yes please. Two threads I commented in but hey, anything for a fresh Huey. Would pay for that.
  20. Got a question. In the near future I'm expecting my new Virpil gear to arrive. And since I have to rebind everything I want to do it properly this time. Can anyone tell me where I can find the HOTAS functions for the buttons and switches from the real thing so I can bind my controls as much true to life as I can get? For both the F/A-18C as well as the F-16C, but I didn't want to start 2 threads. Thanks in advance.
  21. You mean this? Not a mission but a DCS movie.
  22. I think you can categorize people how play simulations in three different categories: 1. Purists 2. Hardcore 3. Gamer The first is the category (I'm guessing) you fit in, along with the most vocal lot on these forums requesting <stuff>. Eating and sleeping while thinking and dreaming about aircraft. The hardcore group is also on these forums, and mostly consist of people like me, above average interest in fighter jets, more specifically interest in one or two aircraft which they want to learn. Gamers are people who like to go online, PvP not too serious, not too realistic, only for fun and how the aircraft exactly works is not that important as long as they can fire missiles to one another. There's a parallel with simracing. With simracing there's also a vocal minority who often asks for oldies to race, and "not the boring and easy-to-drive GT3's". But that will never happen because it's a niche within a niche.
  23. I think VAICOM interactive Kneeboard does this.
  24. No, I don't know why DCS is doing that. But it could be it's trying to help you by adding certain controllers with axis to some bindings. Don't know for sure. But as I said. Best thing to do is update your controllers to the newest firmware, then redo the calibration on all the axis on your controllers. You've written you've already done that. After calibration you need to configure your controller again, for example, if you previously had axis-to-buttons configured, you need to do that again. All of this is done in the Virpil Software. For instructions how to do that, check the manual located here: VPC Software - Technical Overview : VIRPIL Controls Support Center See here for several video tutorials is that helps: After you've setup your controllers the way you want in the Virpil Software, only then you should redo the bindings in DCS itself. So to summarize, in this order: 1. Update firmware of your controllers with VPC Software 2. Redo the calibration for all the axis on your controllers in the VPC Software 3. Reconfigure all the settings you want on your controllers, i.e. axis-to-buttons and stuff like that, in the VPC Software 4. Bind all your controls in DCS again Hope this helps.
