  1. @Pikey it’s not surprising most people on these forums agree with you, because it’s the vocal majority. We already know most people playing DCS are single players. I’m willing to bet ED’s most successful modules are the F/A-18C, the F-16C and the A-10C.
  2. After calibration you need to rebind all the controls. That should work. Maybe otherwise reflash them first? Before rebinding first remove all the bindings for each device.
  3. Please don't force your opinion on others by "fixing" their posts, don't be that arrogant. What you believe isn't necessarily what I believe. And I also can't hear that crap about the new jets flying on rails as some have argued. Newsflash: since one is sitting in a chair flying DCS every plane is "on rails", since one can't feel sideslip or adverse/proverse yaw or whatever. And to further extend that: yes, surely more modern planes are prone to more features which are unknown, or maybe classified. But they are still the closest one can come to flying modern jets. Don't like them? Don't fly them. Just as others don't like cold war, hence don't fly cold war. The vocal majority should accept that there are a lot of people who aren't as vocal, who aren't flying multiplayer, and who may have other interests as you. There's a lot more than cold war.
  4. Well. Not a popular opinion but please no. There are many different kinds of people who like DCS, so more spread in the eras is better. Also, multiplayer is a relative small niche in DCS. I have the impression that the vocal majority on these forums seem to forget that. I’m into DCS to learn how a fighter works, just out of curiosity. With old planes there’s not much to learn to be honest. Just my opinion.
  5. Cordless mouse. Used a trackball for a while but for my taste I wasn’t as handy with it as I am with a mouse. The latter is much more quicker for me.
  6. Every day it gets closer. Right. It’s on Mars I guess. They released several products in the meantime, so I speculate that it’s never coming. i wanted to switch my throttle from Virpil’s 1st iteration years ago (at the time there was already talk about TECS) but I gave up. Back to Virpil again, the CM3.
  7. I rather would like a single seater to be honest.
  8. Wags is a tease. You'll learn.
  9. Ah I see. Nonetheless, I would still like updates to those maps. Sorry for you mission designers!
  10. If the textures get updated, how so? Objects, locations, etc, won't change with that. Or am I missing something?
  11. Actually, come to think of it, I don't need another map. I would like ED to bring Caucasus, NTTR and Persian Gulf up to today's standards like Marianas. That would make me a happy flyer.
  12. I'm waiting for an Index 2.
  13. Yeah, what @sirrah said. Purchase VAICOM Interactive Kneeboard (hell, purchase the whole VAICOM suite, it's awesome!) and your problems will go away.
  14. I know I’m late to the party but YES, more independence. Both for the AI pilot (hover here, fly to waypoint, and so on), and the gunner.
  15. Not a requirement for me, but it does make you feel like you’re actually sitting in a real jet when it has a pilot body like the FA-18. Love that plane but love the Viper more, and also the Apache. So yeah, hope ED will speed up development of more (realistic looking) pilot bodies.
  16. You should try the way the friends in the show "Friends" used to decide which one was more attractive: Choose between the two, without hesitating to give an answer. Don't think about it, just choose immediately. - Black or white? - White meat or red meat? - Wine or beer? - Car or motorcycles? - Hornet or Apache? "Ooh, never knew that!"
  17. Yep that was my problem, using the trim reset (too often). All is oki now.
  18. Thanks guys. I think I figured out why the force trim was messing with me. I trimmed, and then I always used trim reset, so when the helo was trimmed with the cyclic pretty far from center, the jump of the cyclic when resetting the trim was too big, hence loss of control. I'm going to try again this afternoon.
  19. Oki, so. I just flew the Apache for a few moments for the first time. And just like with the UH-1 Huey, I can't use the trimmer. It's just not usable for me with a spring joystick, so I don't use it at all. As soon as I try to use the trimmer everything gets messed up and I crash. So I fly with hands-on continuously making tiny corrections, works best for me. I hate the artificial trimmers. Too confusing and weird.
  20. Just like ED has added several templates for easily adding SAM-sites to missions, my wish is in the same boat. I hope ED will also add some templates for the Supercarrier for the different terrain modules, populated with deck crew, a few planes, helos, and cranes, tractors and fire fighting vehicles. That's it. Thanks.
  21. Just noticed today one can map the interactive kneeboard pages to buttons. Way to go kneeboard.tab.prv / kneeboard.tab.nxt. Your support posts are amazing by the way (not only for me, but for everyone). Thanks for the effort mate.
  22. Your suggestion worked, thanks! However, just one question in the hopes you also know this one. I wanted to train some keywords, so I clicked the mic on the Editor tab in VAICOM, but the Windows Speech Recogition thingy didn't start? Windows 11 Home by the way. Speech/Voice recognition in W11 is installed and activated, but it won't start. And since VAICOM doesn't recognize the "Page" word for use with the interactive kneeboard, you can see why I need to train it. Has the keywords training procedure changed in Windows 11? Agian many thanks mate.
  23. Thanks MAXsenna, will try tonight. I've run a repair but it was the default one and not the full one. Always use the commandline to update or repair by the way, I'm old skool sorry.
