Same for all aircraft - I start getting image being textured at 42NM
-
Yes all campaigns are now designed for 2.5 DCS - Enjoy its a great aircraft!
-
Great thing about this if modelled correctly will be the Blue Vixen radar, it was very capable for its time and formed the base development of the typhoon radar and combined with the Amraam will allow for BVR.
-
Thanks Razbam for the reply - i know the GBU32 doesn't currently exist in game but it really would be a great asset. Can we not introduce this to DCS world as it really should be part of the strike options?
-
Yep its a valid question lol - plus they have it as part of their build list which they sell the product on. So would be good to get some answer from Razzbam.........

[REPORTED] High-quality A-10C cockpit switch logic
Hawkeye_UK replied to Redglyph's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
@nineline @bignewy Yep pass on appreciation! Firstly not everyone want's a worn cockpit and it amazes me - airworthy aircraft are not all scratched, dirty and battered on the inside. All aircraft are also new at some stage so i appreciate the new and crisp look! I couldn't believe how much better the new A10C cockpit looks especially in VR, the clarity and shadows are fantastic! Excellent work really is - about the best thing to be released in a while. Also it seems like you have adjusted the cockpit size/scale for VR as the old model never looked right - this is perfect!! Thank you. -
On the Razbam website it lists the following; Joint Direct Attack Munitions (GBU-38, GBU-32, and GBU-54) So my question is with the introduction of JDAMS when is the GBU32 being released - not really bothered about the 54 however the 1000lb class weapon is very much needed! Thanks - great work on the JDAMS :-)

RAM 2x16GB vs 8x8GB.. any suggestions?
Hawkeye_UK replied to sirrah's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Defo agree that 16GB is not enough - standard is now 32GB and i'd also recommend install is placed on SSD (m2 even better). £"GB is definitely needed for online play these days especially servers that unlock all of DCS and have a complex ground war. -
Modify amount of chaffs and flares (only single player)
Hawkeye_UK replied to JRM's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
950 chaff and flares ??? Hopefully this WILL fail the integrity check for online play otherwise its just cheating!! Can't believe i'm even reading will it pass the IC check.... -
[NOBUG] AIM-9X does not give you tone with JHMCS.
Hawkeye_UK replied to Airhunter's topic in Bugs and Problems
Has always worked fine for me in the Hornet. -
I go back to my original reply.... "Pointless thread - why would a carrier have been helpful in 2016 - no Hornet, no Tomcat - whats the point, that is unless you just wanted to look at the waves from the bridge ;-)"
-
Guy's not everyone uses facebook re the Falkland islands picture release! Its been requested before but please could you put all releases on the official ED forum site for the community to see. Thanks - progress is looking good should be an excellent map for the harrier.

Was amazed to be fair - more excited about this module than any other release in the last 12 months
-
If only this was the case - on multiplayer having hostile assets such as tankers / awacs allows the opposite team to review the location of nearby ground units in jtac/tac command.....
-
Viggen has had it for a couple of years lol - re A2G radar. Only one problem as soon as you turn it on it kills frame rates ridiculously so - the fact that ED havent attempted it yet does make me wonder if they know something we dont...

I use a EVGA 2080 and get great performance with the rift s with most of the settings up high MMSA x2 PD at 1.60 etc and the DCS world looks amazing!
-
Went from a CV1 to a Rift S in the summer - wasn't expecting much given the stats on paper but given the low price point i was happy to pay for any upgrade to the poor clarity of the original rift (that said i still preferred VR flight to monitor or track IR). Rift S - I was actually amazed - its a different world to play in :-)! Quite simply buy you will not regret it one bit and after trying also the reverb i would not part with my Rift S for the time being its an amazing bit of kit for the price. I can actually read all the dials in the cockpits (Hornet / tomcat / viggen / Mi8 / huey / A10C) and the zoom is a thing of the past for cockpit reading or leaning in!

Any possibility for a Invincible class carrier?
Hawkeye_UK replied to 104th_Maverick's topic in RAZBAM
As per above get the Hermes Mod its brilliant for the harrier also allows greater take off weight as you would expect so more bombs on target! -
RIO display changes when jumping to Pilot and back
Hawkeye_UK replied to Jetmar's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
If doing lantirn work - there is the mod but i like to jump in the back seat also as only use the mod for multiplayer re pilot control. I have the switch seats binded to hotas so its instant to jump between the 2 - i set from the pilot seat jester to inactive then hop back so that when i jump back in the front seat for anything briefly he doesn't change anything - works well - once pickled i then reactivate. -
Could not agree more - great post +1,000,000! CA should be a cornerstone, hate to use the term build ground up but CA is integral to the digital battlefield especially on some of the more hardcore online servers such as DDCS.
-
Will Combined Arms get further development?
Hawkeye_UK replied to cTB1440p's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
Desperately needs VR support - especially for some of the more hardcore multiplayer servers that use CA like DDCS. The simple keybinds for look left in VR and the camera pans right and vice versa would be a good start! Really hope ED sort CA out as its a massive part of DCS and has great potential for gameplay given the DCS world. -
Heatblur Development Update - Thunder & Cat
Hawkeye_UK replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
I'd second that especially the 2 weeks comment @ironmike actually made me laugh out loud - brilliant. -
Rift S hands down. I had the original one but the new version is so much better, it really is especially for the price point. Also considering the hardware it should run better than a reverb. I have tried the Vive Pro but preferred the rift s. Also with the Rift its literally plug and play and fully supported within DCS so no frustrations as heard few people with issues with primax/reverb/WMR etc. I run it on an RTX2080 and get 40fps with high settings. Lastly congrats for going VR there is no going back its a quantum leap forward, the addition to your SA is outstanding.
