  1. Since the last OB lease, the tail rotor is no longer at 0 when the pedals are in the central position. In order to bring it to 0 and thus also the torque of the helicopter to 18%, you have to press the right pedal. That's why the helicopter turns LEFT around when you're on the ground and you can now take off with almost no left pedal.... The zero point was probably shifted unintentionally. Flight Model (FM) since [21.09.2022] DCS 2.7.18.30348 Open Beta.trk
  2. Yes, thank you, I corrected my statement
  3. Addendum to point 1. It's not that the tail rotor has more power. The zero position has been shifted to the right. We all know that on the ground with 0 cyclics the Apache is at about 18% torque. This is NOT the case anymore. It's at 20% now! To get back to 18% you have to press the right pedal.... In addition, if you press the left pedal fully you get 30% torque and with the full right Pedela you get 60% torque... That's totally broken at the moment. .. +Improved by bradmick +Video Proof
  4. The problem is, this is a single purely subjective voice. And He's not saying now it's Miles off. He says the helicopter feels too heavy and it's too easy to push the helicopter to its torque limit. At the same time it is a bit too difficult to control when hovering, because everything is way too sensitive. I really don't know what "scary, worrying" is about it. The FM is just work in progress and the small adjustments that take time and are very labour-intensive. This reminds me of the 80/20 rule. I definitely don't want to downplay that here! With the OB patch yesterday it got a lot worse for me. Torque, tail rotor and SAS are somehow totally messing around now.
  5. What I have found out so far. I would appreciate your opinion here! 1) Tail rotor power has been changed somewhat. He now has so much power that when the rudder pedals are in the middle position (center) he lets the helicopter turn (YAW) to the left. You can also take off almost without a rudder. More power sounds good at first, but now it's extremely difficult to land on sand without tipping the helicopter over. --> Shouldn't the rotor blades of the tail rotor glide neutrally through the air in the center position? why do they still generate so much thrust? 2) Barometric Altitude Hold. Unable to keep the helicopter at a constant altitude when flying forward. Oscillation always occurs. So if you fly at 100 kt at 400 feet and want to stabilize it there, it will swing back and forth between 395 and 405 feet in the first few seconds. Then after a short time between 390 and 410. Then at some point between 350 and 450. From then on the torque of the helicopter can no longer be controlled and you have to cancel the autopilot. -->It has definitely gotten worse since yesterday. Since I have flown very intensively this week so far and have not had the problem.
  6. Really? The patch notes say nothing about significant flight model changes at all.
  7. Well, I've flown now often with George and also with "Real People" as CP/G. And the fact that George doesn't look for targets and dangers on his own is one of the things that kills me the most. If I'm traveling with a human co-pilot, then of course he doesn't see everything either, but especially when cruising to the Target, most of them scan the whole area ahead with infrared. I can't give any exact numbers, but that saves "us" our ass more often than George, who doesn't do anything if you don't press the George-Slave-Button like a madman every 2 seconds. Which of course is not cool at all, since you have enough to do to fly the helicopter.
  8. Thanks so much!
  9. The question is, why does the Apache need the Hydra missiles anyway? They're even more inefficient than the gun. The range isn't any better than the gun either. They are by far the most imprecise tool Apache has. Splash damage in DCS is a total joke. That's why the almost hits of the hydras have absolutely no effect except on infantry. But the gun can be used just as well here. A Hydra Pod is slightly HEAVY than 4 Hellfire... that's the crowning glory. My conclusion: I only take the Hydras with me for reasons of authenticity. But actually are the wasted payload.
  10. The Apache is really incredibly exhausting to fly. I just bought new pedals. I switched from "Thrustmaster TFRP - T.Flight Rudder Pedals" to "VKB-SIM T-RUDDER PEDALS MK.IV". with the Thurstmaster it was just not possible to keep the bird stable. the VKB is fine now, but it's still more tiring than all the other modules. But no matter how I maneuver the SAS Saturations sound always comes as soon as I do more than fly straight ahead. It's so annoying that I'm touching the AH64 less and less at the moment. The loud warning tone that cannot be switched off just sucks. My question to ED: 1. Is it possible to somehow change the sound file or replace it with silence? 2.Is that possible for me as a normal person without modding tools? 3.If so, can someone tell me where I can find the file... I mean the file path. greet Dagobert.
  11. Wow! that's pretty high praise! Sincerely THANK YOU
  12. Use TTS Free. It's not perfect but it gets the job done https://ttsfree.com/ With this I created my complete Griffin campaign. So far I haven't heard anything negative.
  13. hey welcome to the party The Txt file that defines the Campania is currently missing. The file will be delivered later in September. At the moment I am unfortunately fully occupied with RL. So unfortunately you have to play the missions individually. I have to say again, it's an MP coop campaign and a server needs the missions individually anyway.
  14. 1. I want to anticipate something here, just to say it in advance. I know that there are many here in the forum who always have to answer such threads with: "I have no problems with XY" I really hate these people. This has become a real bad habit. These people always think only of themselves and try to "gaslight" others. Nobody thinks about it, that the one who reports a problem probably has a problem and that this problem doesn't go away if you tell him the problem doesn't exist. STOP "Gaslighting"! 2. Now my opinion on the FM of the APACHES. Yes! Despite claiming to have a modern SAS, the Apache flies MUCH more awkwardly than the HIND or HUEY. Especially the anti-torque pedal behavior is terrible. It takes an incredible amount of sensitivity to get the helicopter to stay straight while hovering. It feels like the Apache SAS is fighting against you and not supporting you. I hope that changes..... And I know from my group that almost everyone who has the Apache grumbles about the anti-torque pedals. When I bought the Apache I expected the Hind to be the equivalent of the F14 to the Apaches behaving like the F18.... But it's not just the other way around, it's worse.... However, I now have over 100 hours in the game Apache and of course the training will come with time. So it's not like Apache is uncontrollable. But it's really exhausting compared to the other helicopters....
  15. You over-dramatize. yes. The flight model is still a bit edgy and the supposedly modern SAS in the Apache is behaving strangely. It is worth noting that the Hind and the Huey are significantly more comfortable to fly. I hope this will be fixed as soon as possible. and The main problem is that outside of training (where you know where the targets are) George is completely useless at the moment. Without IFF and independent enemy search, he is simply useless. and In addition, even at the lowest skill level, ground units will blow you out of the sky with the first salvo if you come within their range. Even infantry XD These are the 3 reasons why I don't fly the Apache online in a "real" battle. It's just too frustrating. But it is NOT completely bugged. That is not true. In fact, it's programmed fairly cleanly at the moment. It's just early beta.... That's the way it is. Imagine the following scenario. You fly the helicopter and fight for control with the SAS and the flight model. At the same time you have to babysit George because he doesn't do anything alone. And every time you get too close to a ground unit because you're completely overwhelmed (task saturation), you're shot down immediately. You do that once or twice, then you stop flying online. As I said, these 3 things come together and reinforce each other....
  16. Yes, especially at speeds above 120 knots, the helicopter becomes incredibly unstable. I hope that this is just an error in flight behavior or the SAS (it's still early BETA). In my circle of friends, however, most of them have problems with the anti-torque pedals. Especially at speeds below 20 knots it is incredibly difficult to hit the point with the pedals that you need at the moment (no matter how you set your curve). It's strange, even though the Apache has a modern SAS, the Huey and Hind are easier and more precise to fly. Like I said, I hope it's because Apache is early beta.
  17. Toll dann hätte ich ja auch auf Deutsch antworten können XD Das währe so viel leichter gewesen....
  18. In DCS, a campaign is an undefined number of "single" missions that build on each other. Most payware campaigns are also structured in this way. The only thing missing from my campaign is the text file that tells DCS which missions to load in order. That's coming. As soon as I'm done with that. At the moment the whole thing is still in preview/beta status. Just play the missions in the order M00,M01,M02......M09.... Then you get exactly the same result as if the campaign text were already finished. The correct path is: USER NAME---> Saved Games----> DCS----> Missions---> "Make a new folder there" Then you can load and play every single mission via the editor. Or load on a server. It's an MP campaign and servers need the missions individually anyway, as far as I know.
  19. you are welcome. I'm looking forward to your feedback
  20. So what catches my eye is ALL mission files have a size of 0KB. So no information available... I just looked again... I just downloaded the campanie directly from ED myself. Created a new folder. Unzip the files into it. Then DCS started and everything was there. So it's not the download... Please try that. 1. Download again. 2. Unzip the files again in the folders. something must have gone wrong.....
  21. No
  22. PATCH001: - Bug fixes. - 3 New Missions (Now 10 Missions)
  23. So I agree with the previous speakers. George AI is absolutely minimally useful at the moment. George allows a solo player to be trained, but flying a real mission with him isn't much fun. If you don't know exactly where the targets are, then he's absolutely no help. I keep getting shot down because I miss enemy units, then get way too close. And I'm having a hard time getting used to hitting the "George look there" button like a berseker every 5 seconds. Giving George the ability to scout ahead and independently find and report enemies and threats should be an absolute development priority. Just like the ability to tell friend from foe. Just so much on this subject. I also want to talk about the nightmare that the AAA (and handguns) accuracy of ground forces. It makes no difference what SKILL LEVEL I set the enemy AAA (and handguns) to. As soon as you get in range, you will be hit by either the first or second salvo. With such an AIMBOT accuracy I have no problem at high SKILL levels but at the low ones, the precision should be SIGNIFICANTLY lower. The whole thing strikes me only now in the AH64. In the A10, F14 and the F18 the problem with the Aimbot AI wasn't so noticeable because you're much, much further away and also much, much faster. Otherwise I like the AH64 very much. There are still one or the other notch in the flight model. But I'm sure that can still be polished out.
  24. Thanks alot. The last 3 to 4 missions will probably be tackled by me in September... But I can offer you Mission 8 (aka M07) here as a single download. It hasn't been tested by me yet. But it's fully playable. What I've noticed is that the "Sound to All" feature I use for most of the voice overs is kinda quiet on this mission. I can't figure out why though. Whether it's because of the last patch... I don't know. In any case, the sound files are just as loud as all the others before them. I would like to know from you how well you understand the coordinates announced in the mission... But only if you want to fly the mission. If so here is the link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5vpfh5knblunlzf/M07_AH-64_CPAT_V02.miz?dl=0 So, with these sound settings, it works pretty well. The "Helmet" option determines the volume of the voices.
